I finished one route of Eve Bethel and that was straight up ass. I feel like the writer does not understand what makes chuunige work. There are a lot of fight scenes, but all the fight scenes are extremely anticlimactic. They're either decided in one hit and immediately end abruptly, or one side or the other just gives up and lets the other person win, pretty much all the fights in this route are like this. And they set up a cool rivalry that's foreshadowed throughout the entire game and when they're actually about to fight at the end of the route, it's fucking off-screened with a clear "we're saving that for the true route wink wink". I feel like this is one of those games where only the true route will have anything interesting in it.

I've downloaded Teikan no Eve Bethel from three different sources, and in all three cases I have the same problem: the visual novel doesn't load the backgrounds, or they are missing. My antivirus hasn't deleted anything, and I even set the folder as an exception. What I've noticed is that the StreamingAssets folder is empty. I don't know if that's the issue, but that folder is empty in all three cases, even before extracting the files. Does anyone have the missing files or know what's going on?

By the way, I haven't mentioned it, but I have Windows 11 and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. Just in case anyone else has the same setup and it works for them. I've read that it might be a bug with the drivers compatibility, Unity URP - GPUs NVIDIA RTX 40xx or some other crap, who knows.
