I dont understand the strategy. Can someone explain to me without being overly anti Russian, what is the goal of sending small groups of men into enemy territory to set up shop under a house or something and then just sitting there?
I read a lot on it but I think im too stupid to fucking understand.
Please explain it to me in extremely simple English, im not a military guy so dont use military terms. Treat me like a 40 IQ retard.

Constant pressure.

The Russians learned the hard way that massing any amount of troops/armour is a great war to get an artillery shell shoved up their ass.
So what they do is leverage their larger manpower and trickle in 2-5 dudes on the entire length of the front.
They are functionally worthless so losing them isn't a big deal by every so often they manage to maybe take some unoccupied trench or house and bunker down untill reinforced, then repeat.

It's hideously wasteful but the russian slave cattle won't complain anyway.
>>
If the Russians throw large groups of troops towards the frontlines, they will get detected by the 50 billion recon drones saturating the frontlines, and they will get destroyed by artillery.

If the Russians throw tiny groups of infantry towards the frontlines, they might get detected, at which point they probably will be killed. On the other hand, they might not, which means that if you are happy to accept most of your troops getting blown up, you can drip feed troops into the frontline until enough build up that they threaten to overrun Ukrainian positions. At which point, the Ukrainians fall back, and the process of drip feeding troops into the new Ukrainian position repeats all over again.

These tactics technically work, if you consider trading over a million lives for 1% of a country's land (consisting of bombed out farmland and forests) to be an acceptable exchange. Most nations would not, but Russia isn't most nations.

It's just recon in force desu. The thing that differs Russia from others is that they mostly ONLY do recon in force for the sake of doing more recon in force.

>what is the goal of sending small groups of men into enemy territory to set up shop under a house or something and then just sitting there?
It's literally the only way they can make any gains.

Modern fires and reconnaissance, including drones and satellites, is so effective and fast, that any attempts at focusing a lot of mass, manpower, vehicles, equipment, supplies, etc. into a single place gets spotted and hit with artillery, drones, rockets, or something equal very rapidly. So you can't have these big brigade level attacks anymore, the same way you used to in the past. The only way you can do them is if you destroy enough of the enemy's fires and reconnaissance units before you attack, which is something Russia can't really do.
So the only way for the Russians to avoid getting hit by artillery is to send in these small infiltration parties, who are too small to immediately get spotted and blown to pieces. It's the only thing that works for them.

This dynamic of having to go either
>really heavy, really concentrated, really big; big enough to destroy the enemy no matter how much he shoots at you
>really light and really dispersed, to avoid the enemy's fires to begin with
Has been identified for a few decades now as the blatant nature of modern combat. It's a big part of why the US is going back to divisional units as the basic unit level.

>can't move a large group without attracting arty and drone teams
>not enough arty or drone teams to engage every tiny group
>send lots of tiny groups to find cover and regroup

Some groups won't make it to cover, some will, over time you get a big enough force in an area they can launch an attack that will tie up the defenders enough you can push up a larger group from the back at the same time.
Most of the time when you see a heap of bikes or cars charging a town it's because 50 guys made it into the town and are launching a distraction.

Lots here like to mock the Russians for being retarded, myself included, but they are slowly learning and developing new tactics that do work if you value life low enough.

Normally with recon by force you also break contact and call in your pipe hitters and heavy assets to bust up the point of engagement.
But that's sort of a pipedream considering most russians can't find their own arse with both hands, much less figure out where the fuck they are in the first place.

The thing that gets me is that at some point they're expected to not be completely drunken, thieving and uncontrollable rabble. Like the last 1000 years of Russian existence has literally been generations of drunken thieves running around like rabble so when they join the military, they're expected to not be like that?
Admittedly the military is day-care for fuckups and detox for some people, but Russia needs to work in the context that everyone had a BAC somewhere between imminent liver failure and inflammable. If they understand and work within that context, it'll all be much easier

Putin understands perfectly well that Russians are extremely tenacious, like cockroaches, and no matter how hard he tries to kill them, their number is still so high that for the rest of his life ... (and he realizes that he does not have long to live due to his advanced age)... he is able to plug the embrasures of the machine gun with bodies in all possible ways because the human resource will never end before the end of this war, as well as the money in the budget that was saved in advance for the entire duration of this war.

and he doesn't care about the consequences, he probably understands what will happen next, but he's betting 50/50 that some kind of miracle will happen and Russia will be able to recover economically quickly and the ethnic composition will change a lot in the future...

I'm concerned the United States is going to say something as stupid as the Russians did in Ukraine just because of our political class. They always seem to be fighting the last war and an obsession over Afghanistan means that we're trying to replace effective rifles with basically battle rifles from the 1970s. Who knows what history Will Tell Us in the next few years. But war is changing, I wonder if they're ever going to get those jumbo aircraft with millions of drones in them ever running
>>

This is overstated, while the second line behind the front is a lot more transparent to reconnaissance these days, it's not nearly as extensive as people here believe. The Ukrainian counteroffensive back in 2023 did not get detected before they reached the rough vicinity of enemy positions, neither did the Kursk or Belgorod incursions. The reason that Russia does not push large amounts of armor and troops into single areas is because the critical mass of armor and troops needed to push into the enemy interior and hold it is high enough that they can't really afford to do it. You saw the Ukrainian troops have to be funneled in en masse into Kursk just to maintain that small salient, now imagine if you want to take a significant swath of land behind positions that are already dug in against enemy attacks. You would need 100+ tanks and 100+ IFVs on top of several thousand troops attacking the same area in the same day to do this and they simply do not have the resources for that without opening up spaces on the front elsewhere. Instead they can drip feed these troops as they rotate into the combat area from leave or training areas or whatever and they don't have to rely on pulling a large manpower surplus from elsewhere. This is of course on top of the fact that there is still a chance that they may be spotted in the rear as you said, my point being that it's not as clear cut and inevitable as is usually assumed
>>
>>64812571
The lines in Ukraine are loose and units operate in pockets. The current war is hunting these units and finding holes in lines. The Russians like mobility so they do what they can with small units making small gains and making small outposts. Occasionally they might coalesce but until then they fight, probe, die, repeat. It's very bloody and inefficient, but this is what happens when lines harden and high amounts of overwatch can fuck you raw. If they were a properly equipped military they'd likely be doing infiltrators fast dropped and then reinforced via armored personnel drops en masse (complete with support to help protect against drones/arty). Instead they have small units and walking

>This is overstated, while the second line behind the front is a lot more transparent to reconnaissance these days, it's not nearly as extensive as people here believe.
Compared to what?
Do you have even a rudimentary understanding of logistics prior to the Ukraine conflict? All assumptions of logistical functioning have been completely screwed by the presence of modern ISTAR and fires.
>The reason that Russia does not push large amounts of armor and troops into single areas is because the critical mass of armor and troops needed to push into the enemy interior and hold it is high enough that they can't really afford to do it.
No. It's because those operations can't be sustained even if they face success. They can't even start building up those offensives, because any attempts at doing so have smoking incidents.
The centralized Russo-Soviet logistical system has a ~150km range from railheads using its own organic trucks on the divisional level.
There is no way for them to concentrate the amount of supplies needed to sustain a proper armored offensive. The roads would get blocked and the trucks would get blown up alongside the depots, meaning the offensive would face the same fate as the Kiev one. The spearhead gains some initial success, but then stalls, can't sustain its offensive operations and then has to either retreat or get destroyed. This is the ultimate reason why Russia never managed to make proper armored offensives after the very initial one.
Every logistical buildup ended up going up in flames.
>You would need 100+ tanks and 100+ IFVs
That is literally nothing when it comes to Russo-Soviet offensives. That's one single regiment on the offensive.
>and they simply do not have the resources for that without opening up spaces on the front elsewhere.
Yeah, now, after years of attrition.

The russians are assigned to a location.
There are no further orders, until there are.
It's this simple.
>>
>>64812571
The simplest method of defense is going on offense so your enemy is busy defending instead of attacking. Mobiks are free so trickling a constant stream of them forwards blocks Ukraine from physically advancing or focusing elsewhere. Since sending 40 at a time doesn't work, send 3-4 at a time spaced out. It's the opposite of conventional tactics, but it keeps the pressure on.

I don't know why this isn't taken with greater seriousness. There are almost 300 million people who live in Nigeria. That's where most of these guys come from. The reason why is because Nigeria is even worse than Russia when it comes to standard of living. It's a giant, violent shithole. Russia but hot, and more people. Russia can leverage the desperation of the insane number of fighting age men in Nigeria, with their desire to get the fuck out of the country, and massive lies. Instead of trying to force a bunch of vatniks into the frontline, you pull from a vast, untapped country of meat to throw into the fight. Even better, the government is so corrupt that you can easily bribe local governments to help you get as many skinnies as possible to board a plane or a ship to Russia.

It was sort of the state idiot tax as well, the tsars in the 14th century figured out they could standardise things, bust up the moonshiners making it out in the boonies and it would essentially become part of the scenery across the country. It was tax + drunk and that let them fund quite a lot of personal pleasures, adventurism and to some extent dependency.
Then it became 'the culture'
It got tied into being quintessentially Russian, if you're a good subject you drink the tsar's pisswater and call it a national pastime, now with the economy becoming a shit-fest, they upped the tax on booze from 8% to 32% because of the SMO needing more money, poorer drunks and more people willing to somehow end up so drunk they sign a military contract!

EW is a game of whack-a-mole and ever-rotating tools

Once the defensive measures all shift over to countering a current thing you shift back to an older thing and suddenly they're vulnerable to it again

Then once they get used to countering that you shift to something else

So on and so forth etc

Glide bombs are just russian JDAMs so the guidance kit they're slapping on to these ancient FAB-250s and 500s could be literally any number of variiants. Just depends on the type. Hell I saw a video of ukrainians using ancient fucking laser guided copperhead 155mm shells like ghetto Excaliburs.

Nigerians have extensive families and strong social networks. If 8 of your 20 cousins go to Russia and never come back or nor send money, not even the most desperate will take the totally real job. Furthermore the usual not-conscription techniques don't work:
>you can get mobnik wasted and have them wake up on the frontline no problem, harder if you have to put them on a flight from Lagos to Moscow
>they just can say lol no if you make them sign something while drunk
>jail or ukrainian front requires too much official cooperation with the judicial system, exactly the type of thing that even the Nigerian gov doesn't want on the BBC
The only things that might work in a hypothetical scenario where everyone knows that "russia = dead and still poor" is more classic human trafficking techniques, like giving commissions to moneylenders for sending their debtors. There's probably a limit on how much poor fucks Adétóní Soprano can send to puccia.

Yep, depends on what needs doing. If something just needs a 1000lb bomb or some artillery it'll get done that way. Even just a larger force of dudes and direct fire with support weapons and armour if that's around and clear out the hardpoints. Essentially, recon in force is there usually to do route clearance for a bigger force behind them. So they'll kick over the mines, IED's and ambushes along the way, pull back if its all fucky or just deal with it on the spot if its not too hot and heavy.
What Russia is mostly doing is 'recon by fire'
So they're sending out multiple small units to detect were the enemy fire and forces may be so they can target them with a spotter in the rear, then call in the heavy firepower with artillery, air, armour or whatever to sort it out once its detected and confirmed. That was quite heavily practiced in the Bakhmut engagement and it was very, very costly in lives to do. But the russians don't have that command and control to get their guys to do anything complicated. They don't have officers there to make decisions, no NCO's to train and direct troops, its literally a section or squad sent off to a vaguely 'enemy that way' direction and there will be a drone or dude with bino's watching them progress, were they stop and die.

The current modus of trickling in dudes in small amounts doesn't even do recon by fire!
Its sort of a case of sending in multiple angles of attack, see what gets wiped out and then continuing to send them in unsupported with additional waves following up the same path, same roads and if they get say 2 guys out of 30 to somewhere to hole up, then there's a possibility that route has 'a chance' you could amass something which would require either Ukraine to find the resources to bonk it on the head with something big, or cede that area to being a grey-zone which means anyone running around there is liable to be shot at, at some point.
If it stays 'grey' for long enough it might be considered occupied
>>
>>64812571
>what is the goal of sending small groups of men into enemy territory to set up shop under a house or something and then just sitting there?
To prolong the conflict for as long as possible. Putin defines winning this war as never ending it. As long as his troops are still fighting, he will be satisfied. The entire conflict is all about Putin.

the goal is trying to find holes in the ukrainian lines of defense, if you try long enough sending small groups of men forward you'll eventually find places which are undefended, and if they are defended you know where the enemies are and can call in a mortar/drone strike, rinse and repeat.
most of the times they end up dying, other times they make very marginal gains, in very rare occasions you get a sudden breakthrough where 20 men find themselves 15km behind ukrainian lines like what happened this summer in pokrovsk (however ukraine reacted faster than russia and they couldn't exploit it).

I haven't heard of major equipment aid to Ukraine in over a year and following euro politics, it seems that every country is about to elect pro-russian/euro sceptic leaders (AFD in Germany, Front national in France, almost elected ultra pro russian party in Romania...). Is the future of the European union under threat? I can't imagine any of them being sympathetic to the Ukrainian cause and I fear they will be forced to an unjust peace. What a fucking fumble by the western world holy shit

Ukrainians operate the same way. Honestly it seems like any non-Western, non-East Asian military does the same thing. It's like there just isn't a strong enough command and control element to coordinate anything beyond platoon or company-sized actions. Or maybe it's something like officers are so jealous and guarded of their own resources that they won't willingly cooperate with other equal-ranked officers unless somebody up top forces them too.

Maybe the "Arab problem" with warfare isn't a problem unique to Arabs.
>>

Classic PLA doctrine is all about small unit infiltration for similar reasons

This is just how a war breaks down when the only maneuver elements you can covertly mass without getting blown to pieces by fires are infantry.

Russian culture is centered around churkas. They have holidays for churkas. They killed hundreds of thousands of russian men to free churkas. They listen to churka music. Their most famous leader was a churka. They dress and act like churkas. They draw the entirety of their modern culture from churkas. They post sassy gifs about churkas. They watch UFC in worship of churkas. Their biggest event of the year involves throwing parties in honor of churkas playing sports. They use churka slang like "Akhmat Sila" and "Chechnya Kruto". When you say "man of steel" they're not thinking of the superhero. They're thinking of the churka schizo. Their cities are completely overrun with churkas. They worship their corrupt marxist ZOGbot police force disproportionately filled with churkas and their global police force of soldiers filled with churkas. Their men sit around watching churka MMA while their women sit around with churkas watching churka tik-tok videos. They worship churkas like Ramzan Kadyrov, Shota Arveladze, Zurab Azmaiparashvili, Ioseb Jughashvili and the late Nikoloz Cholokashvili while attacking the russians who actually built their country before churkas took over. Their movies are filled with churkas and their music charts are topped by churkas. They send churkas to kill europeans and celebrate when the churkas lose because those churkas are true red blooded russian churkas. They watch churka porn to a point where "BAC" does not make them think of blood alcohol content (which is usually off the charts) but about Azerbaijani penises instead. They will tell you how much they hate churkas and how the Ivan’s law meme is a stale joke and they are just pretending to love churkas but the evidence speaks for itself in that russia has always been and will be a nation of churka loving churkas.

Because due to proliferation of drones and the inability of either side to achieve proper air superiority, any kind of assault larger than a battalion is doomed to fail. So the only way to "advance" is to send small groups of men to infiltrate enemy lines and gain ground inch by inch.
None of this would be necessary if either side had an air force competent enough to do SEAD/DEAD.
>>
>>64813439
the real meta reason is that the Ukrainian infantry are stuck hunkered down too. So the way you advance is saturate the forward positions with your own guys in a slow trickle, and when the Ukrainians have to resupply or rotate out you try to kill them with drones and then move to cut off their forwardmost positions

Infantry combat also happens if they get close enough but it seems like a much less common occurrance nowadays than a couple years ago, the forward positions just become impossible to rotate or resupply so they either (try to) withdraw or get overwhelmed

no, you fucking retard. it's like neither side has overwhelming air dominance that lets them pick off enemy defensive fires positions from beyond line of sight and enable force concentration anywhere close to the front line

any NATO military besides the US would be forced to fight exactly like Ukraine is, because they'd be unable to sustain any significant force concentration within 30km of the front or mass logistics within 200km

in fact, everyone else would do worse if they magically had to fight Russia tomorrow, because no one besides Russia and Ukraine has the numbers and doctrine of UAS forces to fight a drone war.

The US could roll Russia but that's purely due to having the ability to delete their fires, logistics, and C3 from the air and ignore any advantages they might have in a positional ground fight.

They already tried to do this, don't think they didn't it's just the effort os not worth it, for starters you need to convince people to go to Russia, and believe it or not even the poorest fag will get suspicious of that sort of offer, living a low trust society means you DO NOT trust something which looks too good to be true, you really think global southerners don't know what war looks like? Let's make it clear, one thing is spamming 4chan and other places with pro-russian propaganda because you are socially butthurt about the west being rich, colonization or whatever, it's a completely different matter to go take up arms knowing they are going to shot back.
But even then, those few who agree suddenly represent a logistical challenge, how do you get them to Russia? Do they know russian? Are they physically fit even as expendable recon? Was it worth the effort?
As logistics start to complicate there is the sudden realization all these masses of thirdies either won't come or those few who were stupid enough won't cut it.
Finally, Ukraine has been trying to do something similar, with the advantage rather than just cannon fodder they try to attract experienced people and are less prone to spend them as mere cannon fodder, as they aren't going to win by numbers it's easier to invest on their own mercs so they both retain the manpower and become the better option at the merc matter.

>what is the goal of sending small groups of men into enemy territory to set up shop under a house or something and then just sitting there?
When Ukraine kills them, they can drop artillery on the position. The men are expendable resources expended to generate actionable intelligence.

This is a modern day extension of Russian doctrine, which is characterized not by strong decision making power at every level of the many levels of authority like western military doctrine but instead by weak decision power until you reach field grade or flag staff.

Commanders from the platoon up to about battalion level are essentially stewards of The Book. Russian warfare is a kind of paint by numbers thing. They do everything by the literal book. The book says -- very loosely -- that the best way to take a position is something like:
>send in conscripts for recon by fire in all directions
>reinforce the ones who survive with artillery and more mobiks
>once positions are known, send in stormtrooper raids or just apply more artillery

This is a massively wasteful strategy in terms of human life, but... life in cheap in Russia. What they lose in cheap morality they gain in centralized power. Very limited threat of military coups because the military is trained to have very little decision power. Those who do have that power are at the top, and you can carefully vet them for loyalty and the precise amount of incompetence.

Recon by (underwhelming)force.

If the small team penetrates forward and digs in, territory is contested. If the small team is destroyed by enemy action you have some intelligence on enemy forces in the area and you can try to snipe out revealed higher value enemies with artillery, drones or glide bombs.

It doesn't work very well and the russians try to spend as little monentary cost on the suicidal recon. In theory their better trained and equipped elite units are preserved in reserve and can act swiftly to breach the found enemy weakness. In practice maneuver is poor and the elite units get chewed up too. So we just get more of these human waves of small teams across the entire battleline, maybe taking some territory temporarily, maybe taking some territory that holds, maybe just being wasted as cannon fodder.

>>
>>64812744
>recon by force you also break contact and call in your pipe hitters and heavy assets to bust up the point of engagement.
To be a stickler "recon by force" means you're supposed to bring enough firepower to deal with the expected threat. If you bring a tank platoon to recon in force and you come upon an enemy tank or position that your unit can destroy you're supposed to destroy it.

I'm talking about Russia's attitude towards its citizens, anon. Life is politically cheap. Autocracy means Putin can spend Russian lives freely. This obviously isn't absolute, but the death of a Russian soldier in Russia carries less cost than the death of an American soldier in America. One of the only ways to compress this idea is to say that life is comparatively expensive in America and cheap in Russia. It's a figure of speech.

This is why the war in Ukraine persists. Putin's political and likely literal, physical survival are contingent upon being able to declare victory in Ukraine.
>>
>>64826179
You're looking at it from the wrong angle. Indians are cowards when they recognize a threat but they're incredibly bad at recognizing threats, and modern weapons will kill him before he even realizes he's in danger. On top of that, UberEats have already proven that if you give an indian an electric scooter he can move from one place to another in an acceptable timeframe while carrying an acceptable payload, so if you just want to send someone into hostile territory and see if he comes back then indians are perfect. You don't even have to pay him, just tell him women will have sex with him if he wins the war.

It's basically a refinement of the kind of tactics Wagner used at Bakhmut. Where detachments of expendable storm trooper convicts would be sent forward to dig in a little bit at a time, so that the next wave could springboard off that. And eventually mass up in concealed positions to take a little slither of territory. The big difference is that where as Wagner would send in a big ass squad or platoon of convict soldiers, now-a-days the Russians only send in maybe 2-4 guys at a time. As others mentioned, larger groups are much easier to detect with drones and a big enough target to hit with artillery. There's a crazy ass WW1 tier photo from Bakhmut of a field with literal dozens of Wagner doods are all mulched out in the open.

Now that the days of partial mobilization/easy farming of convict soldiers are over, the Russians have to be a tad more selective with their cannon fodder. They need to offer large signup bonuses, or hoodwink foreigners into the Russian Army.

Sounds similar to infiltration of World War I, particularly those used by the Germans late in the war. I mean, trying to nickel-and-dime an exploitable breakthrough by chipping at enemy defenses with comparatively expendable and small, stealthier units?

Russia really is something else.
>>
>>64812571
I'd also like to know. from what I understand, neither side is amassing troops on the frontline and instead it's a broad no man's land, monitored by drones. how the Russians are able to reinforce positions taken by those small teams, I don't know. used to be that Russian assault groups would get constantly ambushed and Ukrainians getting shelled in their trenches. now we have this and it seems to work in Russia's favor
>>
>>64830158
It works because Ukraine is running out of people too. It's a war of attrition and Russia has more meat to throw into the grinder. It's not sustainable and it will have catastrophic consequences for Russian demographics, but if nothing changes it will deliver victory in the narrowest sense of the word and that's good enough for Putin.

It's just the good ol' deep battle doctrine
...minus the reserves to exploit breakthroughs
So just a constant probing of the front
>>

Anything Russia does it out of necessity and desperation.
First they ran out of proper armor. Then auxiliary vehicles. Now they're starting to run out of men.

Will be interesting to see what will be Putin's next move. From the start he seems to be afraid of mass mobilization. It's actually amazing that Russia is losing a war of attrition against a smaller neighbor.
>>
>>64830178
>Now they're starting to run out of men.
Quite simply not true
Russia has 3x Ukraine's population and is losing men at a 3:1 rate
>>
>>64830180
Those theoretical numbers mean nothing, wars aren't fought to the last child and elder.
Russian army's manpower has started constricting.
It's the beginning of the end.
>>
>>64830184
>It's the beginning of the end
since there seems to be actual attempts at peace talks, it is indeed the beginning of the end. according to /k/, Russia has no tanks, no IFVs, no artillery, no effective airforce, no industry and may even started to run out of men. if that's the case, then Russia seems to be ready to discuss unconditional surrender lmao. man, I wish one could actually talk about this war on /k/
>>
>>64830177
"Deep Battle" itself was just blitzkrieg with less air support and more meat shields
>>
Once upon a time, Russia actually exhibited significant deception tactics. Maskirovka enabled significant surprise in some of the most crushing offensives on the Eastern front. Maybe that's all gone now
>>
>>64812571
Sounds like an attempt at infiltration assault, but I haven't been paying attention to the Ukraine war in a long time.

Russia's troop replenishment problems are a fact.
For the first time since the war begun, their active army manpower has started going down. They can no longer keep up with the ever-increasing casualties and deserters.

Peace is becoming increasingly likely as the situation gets worse for Russia. Recently even the loudest drunken zigger cope machines like Medvedev have started changing their narratives and admitting that they'll never conquer Ukraine.
>>
>>64812571
They are probably scouting. The groups are small so the Russians can send out more of them and cover more ground in total. If you have ever played an RTS game, you would know that you only need 1 unit to scout the fog of war. In real life the unit needs time to radio back their findings, so Russia sends a few extra.

get ready for a retarded load of strawmen when you hear this phrase.
>no tanks
nobody said that.
>no artillery
nobody said that.
>no effective airforce
nobody said that.
>no industry
nobody said that.

you're trying to use absolutes to discredit the things actually being said, namely that russia has a catastrophic and critical shortage of all of these things, but that's pretty hard to argue against without using said strawman attacks, of course.

at that point its hard for me to imagine it is actually a net benefit for their military to have alcohol impaired invalids as soldiers. can they actually do anything except strain logistics, then collapse somewhere before they even get to the objective??

it feels like this is more of a case of some recruiter having a quota they had to fill and then they just recruited some drunks and went "not my problem"

Just much much slower than what they did in ww1. Pretty grim.
>>
>>64831004
Yeah, and Germany only really mastered those techniques of leveraging tactical flexibility (to counteract their strategic disadvantage), at the very end, just before they collapsed.
Here's hoping.
>>
>>64831039
And the Germans also did it against the most extensive field fortifications in history.

>Can someone explain to me without being overly anti Russian, what is the goal of sending small groups of men into enemy territory to set up shop under a house or something and then just sitting there?
They ran out of tanks and BMPs and BTRs and MTLBs, so this is the next best thing.

The assaults will continue until gains improve (they won't).
>>
>>64819225
PLA largely averts this in practice though; it was trying to smash the Vietnamese with large formations the way they did to the UN that eventually did them in.

I guess the fact they have a 'live' recruit is really about all they asked for and there would be some cunning guy going, well you just said recruit.
Didn't say from where, how functional they are or basically anything else!
From an accounting perspective, that money has already been spent- uniforms, shoes, gun, helmet, maybe body armour and all the transport, training, wages for the people processing the forms and cleaning up the piss/vomit they left in the office.

Military wise, its the fucking worst. They would literally be better off with no one else turning up than someone who's going to fuck up, compromise the team and will run away at the first opportunity to go get hammered on anything vaguely containing alcohol.
>but they just do meat-waves
Even then, actually getting those bumblefucks is a waste of fuel and they'll probably die from some kind of stupidity and Ukraine wont even have to waste a drone on them
Assuming their own team doesn't kill them, because when you're in the death cult, you are expected to die
>>
>>64830929
Zelensky also said that they estimate 20-30% of the WIA would eventually end up dead or invalided out of the war, yes
so 80-70% might return to service

i worked in a nursing care home during covid and what you say is false or misunderstood half truth and just you being completely uninformed and wanting to believe stupid shit.
>>
>>64833522
>that's literally what happened, you anti gun piece of shit. he was under federal investigation over it.
no thats not the whole story. people were sent home to die there, not in the hospital. the hospitals are for the living, they are not places of dying. and the nursing homes were hit by covid before the first patients were sent back there. we immediately had 50% of the residents covid positive in fall 2020. there was a large procession of ambulance cars carrying about a quarter of our residents off to the hospital. the hospitals only kept those who they could save and needed critical care, the rest was obviously brought back to us. hospitals dont have infinite space and personnel. we did room isolation for every resident, which is only possible in the nursing care home, not in the hospital, because every resident has his or her own room. we tested everyone daily, even the staff down to the janitor and switched to n95 masks, which were more effective in stoping the spread, but at that point it was too late already, because as i said, we already had 50% ill residents. before covid hit us we only had surgical or cloth masks and most nurses wouldnt properly wear them, because covid was mostly forgotten and thought to be over at the beginning of fall 2020. at that point we hadnt had a single covid case so far, but as i said, when covid hit us in november we immediately had 50% positive residents. the rest got it eventually later. by 2022 every single resident had had it at least once. generally nursing care facilities are better equipped for nursing care than hospitals, people generally dont get good nursing care in hospitals. we also know our residents and ntheir needs basically by heart while for some random medic in the hospital or some ambulance ship its a complete stranger and they have no clue what these old people need or what special risks they have. also its a really stupid idea to move people with dementia to a place they dont know
