The mystery of the vatnik penguin has been solved. Turns out a Russian company is selling these as “protection from thermal imaging”

Is there any advantage to this design or is it a complete scam to rip off mobils?

I think the retailer just got asked if it hides people from thermals and they said yes because its easy money to claim something knowing that the people wearing it can't afford thermals and are going to end up rotting in a field

Dr. Ainslie explained that even if he caught the conscript and brought him back to his trench, he would immediately head right back for the front lines.... but why?

Maybe. Or maybe this board is actually for morons, anybody who knows anything long left the site or simply doesn't engage with the ukraine hamster wheel. Or maybe the bots that pump the boards post count have their cache regularly cleared and therefore don't remember prior discussion of thermal ponchos. Assuming the people here are "merely pretending" is maybe too charitable.

>penguins do a bit of occasional exploration of their area to look for better nesting or feeding spots.
It's a sound evolutionary strategy to have a few individuals go try new things and see how it works out.
>>
You'd think they'd be smart enough to only rely on it at night, when drones actually rely on thermals and it might provide some advantage.
Instead of wandering around in an open field in daylight like a dickhead, where you can be seen even without thermals

>Pinguini Viccingi
Avoid reference to the Normans, those are half French.
Funnily enough, the Norman invasion is why Ukraine has a town called New York.
Many defeated English aristocracy and soldiers fled to Constantinople and either joined the Varangian Guard or settled in Byzantine frontier regions around the Black Sea.
Perfidious Anglos (literally Anglo-Saxon in this case) have a long history as a nemesis of the Mongol-Rus.

There's a London on the Black Sea too. Same story, Anglo-Saxon aristocracy fled to the Byzantine empire and settled amongst Saxons in Ukraine.

'Tis the highest grossing movie series in human history but it indeed is slop of the greatest order, the only redeeming features are quasi plausible mechs, exo-suits and of course the already mentioned pyromaniac cat girl.
Otherwise it is utter shit.
>>

I do like hooded ponchos, however the stiffness makes it look like a prisoner's anti-suicide smock.
>>
>>64826961
Pretty much. they are great to look at but very forgettable. The only reason this one even gets mentioned is that they accidently made the bad guys the protagonists and gave them personalities unlike every other character in the series.
I've watched it twice and i can't remember a single damn thing about it besides Quaritch, Varang and that the exo suits looked sort of plausible since they were small.
It is honestly an achievement in it's own way; such a huge amount of effort to create a extremely visually impressive series with such boring and forgettable characters.

Its so its usable by both lanes of traffic at all times.
If it was just the single rail pedestrians would have to let go momentarily to skip over other peoples hands.
Its silly but thats how safety works. A hand rail only works if you are holding onto it.

I thought this got explained years ago. The penguin will see the mountains and think it's the ocean because of the outline of the peaks looks like waves and ice.
It's a dumb fucking bird so it just keeps walking, if it's the ocean it walks until it hits the water and the next instinct kicks in, which would be swim, the next instinct, detect fish shape, next instinct, feeding behavior.
but it never reaches the water, because it's a mountain and no other instinct kicks it to change it's behavior so it just keeps walking like a robot until it dies or it turns around and sees the ocean and maybe the walk to ocean kicks in again.

You are seriously outing yourself as a newfag, do you really think that no one can tell that in multiple threads you immediately post again pretending to be someone with the same ESL patterns pretending to agree with yourself?
Anyone who has been here for more than a few months can instantly tell that you have no idea what you are talking about and are probably underaged.
>>

>>64832466
And there he is again, no doubt by the time i'm done typing this or near enough you will post again claiming to be a separate person agreeing with yourself, no doubt using the same willful ignorance of what i wrote.
See here how i know you are a newfag; no one who has been here for any length of time would argue with me like this since they know it is utterly pointless. Either they have a normal conversation with me or tell me to fuck off then ignore me. The mere fact that you think flinging shit at me will have any effect shows your complete and total ignorance.

that only really counts if you have an existing paper trail of not being a retard, which nobody except maybe tripfags can claim to have. if people just call you a retard when you act like a retard then all youve done is act like a retard. saying "i was merely pretending" in retrospect has always been cope.

A hater or troll is just a friend who hasn't realized it yet, after all if they care enough to argue with you that much then they obviously care otherwise they would just ignore you.
Yay, we made friends! No i don't care if you say otherwise, we are buddies now. Nice meeting you bro or sis as the case may be.

They seem less attractive like that. To get back to being Varangually /k/ related they are all combat effectives in a hunter/warrior society so the females having small breasts is more realistic. Besides, it is clear that like native cultures they don't share the same sexual triggers as humans despite the physical similarities. Varang is sexier from my viewpoint as she doesn't care about clothing much besides practicality, it seems the only reason they bother with loincloths or breast wraps is to prevent their junk from snagging on things although there is a huge omission there:
They have a major portion of their central nervous system hanging off the back of their head, you would think hunter gathers and or warriors would have some sort of covering for that, if your cover your breasts and genitals in case you snag it on something wouldn't you protect a exposed part of your brain stem?

I think you underestimate how widely penguin habitats are distributed. Most of "Antarctica's penguins" live on islands surrounding it instead of the continent proper.
And it isn't like there are no land predators or as if the maritime predators are any less fo a threat.

Turns out penguins might really be puccian spirit animals: they do engage in rape, necrophilia and homosexuality (and no, it is not a modern study to show "homosexuality is natural" it is more than a century old).

You never get drunk the way Chingis intended, with fermented mare's milk. Sad (but you still have time).

You can also get drunk by fermented birch sap BTW.

There's a small amount that's exported.
It's the sweetened, mild stuff so it's way more drinkable than what you'd get in a yurt village.

Fun fact: when nomad needed to travel he rode lactating mare (and not stallion like you can expect from manly man).
Mare served both as transportation and source of food. Nomad would milk mare and put milk into canteen. Over period of about 24 hours from hear of horse side it fermented into fresh kumis. So Nomad got everything on the move: drink, food, and alcohol. Ultimate logistics.
Also fun fact: kumis flasks had peculiar moon shape, it' warranted that some kumis would be left in side parts, and it will serve as fermentation starter for new batch. Of course you use can any canteen shape but you can forget to leave some as starter especially if your are drunk.

They are both low in ABV. Birch sap has very little taste to it, early spring is around the corner, you can collect and ferment the sap by yourself, if is nice drinking something you made yourself. Mongolian fermented mare's milk I can only describe as pungent.
