That image pretty much sums up US industrial capability in WW2. When you got so much shit you can completely outfit entire nations with fuckloads to spare.

Yes, each year being depressed with their guns leads to the deaths of dozen of tanks each year!
>>
>>64825924
God yes, that's why it's so important to give your gun the support and counseling it needs, maybe even figure out which SSRI works best for it.

German intelligence nicknamed the M6 'Dreadnaught', and original reports thought it had a 105mm cannon and 200mm of armor. They were expecting to encounter them in battle, but none were ever sent overseas

Have they at least made some new ammo that can be used for the gun?
Or is it still the same old stuff that was originally intended?
>>
>>64827885
They are allowed.
>>64827999
Afghanistan had a wonderful weird selection of tanks.
>>
>>64828021
Not sure, can't find much info on how they plan to use those SU-100's. They gun can basically fire all the same ammo as the T-54/55, plenty of which is still available.

Spares were a problem early on, so in a succeeding negotiation with Russia over its payment of Soviet era debts they included a provision for debt reparations in the form of a huge stockpile of T-80U spare parts.

I've read a long article on the service of these tanks with the Koreans, it was very insightful, and the tankers gave them glowing reviews. Reliability was generally very high and the average operational rate was 96%. They've now been decommissioned from active service though.

Paired with the T-80's they also had a battalion of BMP-3's.
>>
>>64833241
article link? do i need to speak korean to read it? any specifics on the amount of spares?
>>
>>64833263
https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/modern/south-korea/t-80u-in-south-korean-service/

>The T-80U and BMP-3 were a problem in terms of mechanical reliability during their early years of service. In fact, after the First Brown Bear Program, the Russian Federation had not provided adequate spare parts for the use of armored vehicles produced by the Soviet Union. The problem was solved with the Second Brown Bear Program, which brought not only new vehicles, but also a very large amount of spare parts. There is no precise data on how many spare parts were sent to the Republic of Korea or what their economic value was, but it is possible to assume that they were sufficient for more than 20 years of service.

>In 2015, reports began circulating that the Republic of Korea Army would soon phase out its T-80U and M48A3K tanks in preparation for the modern South Korean-made K2 Black Panther MBT entering service. In April 2015, a Russian delegation visited South Korea, asking the Korean Government to resell a good percentage of the spare parts to Russia. In Russia, the production of T-80U and its spare parts ended in 1998 and, after 17 years, they were becoming very valuable goods, so much so that, when the Russian delegation visited South Korea, the price of many parts had been estimated as having almost tripled. For example, the anemometer price was increased from US$10,000 to US$29,000 and the GTD-1250 gas turbine engine’s price increased from the original US$305,000 to over US$800,000.

Gun launchers are cool and the US army should have kept the concept but replaced the shillelagh missile with one that wasn't garbage.
