Similarly to the video of a guy being loaded onto the back of a truck that a lot of people made fun of, CASEVAC is about getting the wounded away from danger and to the nearest medic as fast as possible. Nobody cares whether the ride is uncomfortable or causes a few bruises. The guy on the sled, stretcher or whatever probably has a whole in his leg and nobody nearby has any medical knowledge beyond TQing the limb and calling for a Medic.
Would you prefer to have a comfy ride and get 2 of your friends killed because they spent 2 extra minutes carefully tugging you in on the backseat of their buggy where you then get to bleed out or to get to safety as soon as possible so everyone involved has as high a chance of survival as possible? You want the driver to stop, walk up to the guy and be like "yup that was a landmine, sad" too, just to waste even more time?
