From a quick google image search a clickbait youtube channel from Azerbaijan made purely out of low-effort sloppy fake thumbnails, text-to-speech and slightly related clips spliced together decided mass cavalry attacks were bait-worthy.

I doubt any mass cavalry assaults ever happened, since it would be impossible to infiltrate and then hide the horses before being discovered, and that seems to be the prerequisite for an attack in the area nowadays, and in any case if such a thing ever happened there's a 100% chance footage would be released and it would be extremely meme worthy and probably spawn a few tens of threads. What we see instead are attacks on small groups of horsemen.

To be fair, transporting a cattlecar full of horses is not that expensive and horsefeed is not expensive either.
And since they aren't going to last very long either the costs can't really accumulate.
Plus you can eat them when they wear out, which is a huge boon to the average mobik diet.
