most of the girls I see on twitter doing this doll shit in the past year were literally not talking like this a few years back. outside of a few exceptions, it's literally just a bunch of late transitioners trying to cosplay as a HSTS archetype. not that they even really fully buy into blanchardism themselves or anything, but they intuitively understand that two broad categories of stereotypes exist and they know which one looks worse
next time you see some annoying "doll" on twitter, genuinely just do a search of their account and 8 or 9 times out of 10 you'll find they were puppygirl posting and posting skirt go spinny memes and now they're pretending they've always been super immersed in ballroom culture and slang and I honestly would just feel fuckin embarrassed for them if they weren't so irritating and unlikeable
