It would appear in this case that the metric is how completely it saturates the page.
It's surprising though not to see an inverse correlation with page size. Since they don't explicitly say they were controlling for it, nor point to a page about how they took their metrics, I suspect the numbers aremade up.

why would you mark something? do you ever go back in a book looking for a mark you made to remember your interpretation of a passage? it's such a pseud thing to do unless you are actively working on something. remember pseuds are often older people who justify their pseudness with their age and supposed "wisdom"

I don't think I would have a problem giving such a story to a child given the value learning about myths could bring. There have been books I read for my little brother which contained suicide, and that feels like a heavier subject to bring up (however it was appropriate given it was about a historical event). I am a European thoughbeit; American puritans may disagree.

yeah strange. Convenience Store Woman made me depress as fuck because it's related to having a dead end job/life. i hated that it follows Keiko through her whole life. it makes me feel like I will and have wasted my whole life.
pretty good book

>Pepeius
this is going to sound hyperbolic but this is exactly why you shouldn't strive to give your children a life of minimal discomfort. if you don't let your kid reckon with the fact that sometimes they'll have stupid ideas that suck ass, they end up being overeducated NEETs that reek of weed and make up Greek Myth OCs with dipfuck names like Pepeius

>The book is yours.
A good book will outlive you BUT half-decent marginalia are actually interesting to future generations.
The problem comes from underlining everything your attention span thinks is the relevant parts, or brain dead commentary like a youtube react video.
Seeing "that's crazy chat" in a classic book would be pretty funny though.

>wittgenstein: mileage varies
hit his students reutinely but this wasnt uncommon. allegedly went to court due to hitting a kid unsconious but outcome is unknown and kids also pranked him a ton.
>chomsky: true
defended khmer rouge and serb yugoslav govs
>Marx: true
called lassale a nigger or something
>Singer: true
in line with his weirdo contrian views, defended beastiality by stating eating animals is still less unethical
>Kant: true
white man smarter than rest, not uncommon, mightve possibly retracted his views and his empircal and dignity based philospohy doesnt work well with it regardless
>Foucault: probably false
allegedly groomed a kid while he was in tunisia. kids idenity is never stated and its a fringe guy who hated focoult who claimed it like 15 years after the event allegedly happened. not totally disprovable you get the gist
>Hume: True
said negroes and all non whites are mentally infeior, later changed to just a majority of negros. was a footnote
>sarte: IDK
couldnt find what this meant. dont know much about him
>plato & aris: true
aristotle said some people are meant to be slaves by nature, plato probably same thing. slavery was different in their age and wasnt for life and selected via race outside of defeated armies
>marx: true
said god of jews is money, was sort of protopsychoanalysing them like nietzsche but came to a less flattering view. retards will claim this is anti semetic by nature
>locke: true
stocks in slave trade iirc
>heidegger: true
joined nazi party and gave a speech supporting it when he got appointed to uni principle or something. didnt really engage much with party politics beyond supporting the line here and there but also never formally denounced it after its end.
>rousseau: true
had sex with a seamstress and sent his 5 kids to an orphanage due to being poor. tried to look back for them years later but orphange had zero records
>frenchies: true
signed a petition to reduce age of consent and also eliminate seperate age of consent required to engage in anal sex (which was later done)
>schopenhaure: mileage varies
like wittgenstein, pushed a woman down the stairs or was defending his privacy and theres nothing beyond both parties heresay. court found schoppy guilty though
>althusser: true
killed his wife in an episode of mental collapse or something. was seriously mentally ill in his late life so courts and doctors absolved him.
>conclusion
mostly accurate from what i can tell

Marx, Baitte, Wittgenstein and Rousseau were all pretty active and generally upbeat fellows so they seem like fun. Hume, Sartre, Derrida and espically Kant seem like it would be really comfy to have chill conversations with.

I've been rearranging my toy displays since I recently got some new cabinets, and I have a lego tiger that I decided to leave on the other side of the glass as a little nod to this poem.
(Call me whatever you want, I'm impervious to your derogation. And yes I recognise the irony of me resonating with something written by a six year old)
