yeah best book ever. I don't remember a thing about it because it was so good at making me not give a f*ck about the words I was reading

Nah I try to avoid obvious CIAslop like this.
>>
Ive heard his book Models is good. The one about getting girls.
>>
>>25062327
Bad. It has been talked quite a lot about lately. Just skim the Wikipedia articles of Alan Watts, Stoicism, Ernest Becker and you have a better result.

Looked cringe

first book derived from stoicism that's somehow worse than the foundational material on the philosophy.
>>
>>25062327
Anons will scoff at the stoics then read this
>>
>>25062327
It was okay
Baby's first introduction to Stoicism. Works well as a jump-off point for further reading into philosophy but absolutely sucks if it's the only book you read about the subject.

Won't read.
I don't give a fuck.

It’s a F*cky Universe book?!
Heckin valid dude.

I do "give a fuck", and I don't condone the shirking of responsibilities or facile, vulgar arguments for a relaxed and hedonistic lifestyle.
>>
>>25062904
What an abhorrent phenomenon, I’d like every author here and those who read these books to kill themseleves.

Nah he's a retarded faggot, almost literally

these "books" have more in common with tweets sent from a toilet than literature

Maybe cringe, but this is the book that helped me understand the hidden rules of dating. Basically, models is like "be vulnerable, honest about what you want, especially sex, and don't be a loser."

The subtle art of not giving a fuck is OK. Baghavad gita is good too, I guess.

you needed a book to tell you that?

In elementary school I read a book called "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff." It was a pretty useless read that just offered very obvious advice. If you read the cover and just imagined the contents of such a book, there's no reason to read the book itself. I imagine this book, and most other self help books, are exactly the same.
>>
>>25063665
I'll take that as affirmative
>>
>>25062327
I have. It's ok. It doesn't really say anything valuable but maybe the theme will resonate with you and you'll get more out of it than what the author put in it. In my experience self-help books are useless for teaching you what's written in them, but useful for getting you to re-evaluate your thinking patterns
>>25062399
Models is garbage. It's like a pickup book written by reddit for reddit. Read actually pickup literature if you are interested in that

"Sometimes just day fuck it and do the thing"
That's about it, had I paid money instead of borrowing it I would have been pissed.

Its one of those self help books thay installs an asshole personality into the people who read it
If its on a bookshelf, redflag
