did anyone ever solve the problem of synthetic judgements a priori that Kant is laying down at the very beginning of his critique of pure reason ?
I mean isn't that the only real problem philosophers should care about in the first place ?
We want to do metaphysics and therefore enter the realm of the non sensory world on a scientific basis...
the problem of synthetic judgements however shows that there is no progress of knowing possible in the non sensory world...
so how do we solve this ? I guess it has never been even touched since Kant was laying it down...
We need to make it look old and outdated and we need to establish a new metaphysics on a scientific basis that is able to enter the realm of the non sensory world...
that and only that should be our aim as philosophers !

I’m no philosopher, nor do I aspire to be, but I think he draws too strict a limit for himself with the noumena. And never assumes that these judgements may in fact be a posteriori. But let’s say it is a priori, we have some access to the noumena, it is the basis for how we’re able to orient ourselves in experience and make judgements, like “7+5=12” for example. I’ve seen analytic responses which I don’t take too seriously, but I like Hegel’s take on it, that we can know the noumena, because through us and the thing in itself are united by the fact that they are separated, and that contradiction in his eyes is leading to the greater truth, becoming. Which is a step forward in the right direction I suppose.

I never got Hegels take on this... it somehow makes no sense to me... cause someone elaborate ?
