Are there any good readings about completely cutting all ties with humanity, society ? Internal debate on how reasonable not willing to interact with another human being other than your wife, not willing to engage in any sort of even small talk with anyone else ? Novels, philosophy, but no personal development stuff.. ?

It's not self-imposed, but Robinson Crusoe is in this vein. And the castaway that actually inspired it actually sobbed when his rescuers forcibly rescued because he loved being alone on the island so much
