How do I cope with getting slower mentally in my 30s? How will my reading be affected by this?

Such posts seem calculated to discourage. What’s important is you do your work in the moment and you put your trust is transcendental reality (whatever this means for you). In a sense human life does get worse over time, by design, since Jesus himself teaches the superiority of children. BAP has completely failed to live up to his potential.

In a word, delayed gratification. Whether you get a framework from self-help or philosophy or church, if you've ever thought you should do less of this thing and more of that thing, when you get old enough it will just become evident that you now have no choice but to make those changes. The measure of your suffering, barring extreme health or security issues, is purely in how much you resist doing the growing up you were supposed to have already done.

I'd recommend a healthier lifestyle on all possible fronts and a focus on cognitive activities. Learn chess or programming, pick up a new language or strengthen your literary skills (or reading skills!) It's not a hard issue, although I've pushed myself young, and there maybe no way back. You'd still be better tomorrow than today if you try.

The slowest I've ever felt mentally was during covid when I did nothing but watch television and browse the internet. After 6 months of that I noticed I was having trouble doing calculations, recalling words and expressing myself.

Schopenhauer said man reaches peak intellect at 28 and very slowly declines. It depends on the person, generally overexertion will be punished. Wagner composed Parsifal in his 60s. You can have a top mind til the day you die if you take care of yourself

>GUYS LIFE ITS OVER AT 30
There's plenty of stories about people finding their artistic maturity or their business success in their 30s/40s, this guy is just a normalfaggot who thinks putting your penis into a vagina is the height of life.

I had a deficiency which was fixed post 30s, felt I was enacting Flowers for Algernon, but I don't have the drive led by big dreams which I had when young. I think the drive and mindset that you can achieve something unique and special and worthwhile is the most important thing.

Yes, this should really be the goal of everyone--men and women alike, according to their talents. The most important thing is to be productive in a domain which is beneficial to not only yourself but other people. At the highest level, this is rare to find, but how many people actually look for this or are driven by noble motivation which despises false paths and shortcuts?

I'm reaching the point where posting that retard BAP needs to be a perma-bannable offense on this board. Everything that has come out of that dicksucking flaming homosexual's mouth has been nothing but complete mitwit horseshit that actively lowers the IQ of whoever reads his schtick.
Any man who puts his instincts first and nothing else are just animals, and not humans, or anything that resembles a flicker of life, in the slightest, which is maybe the greatest irony of all. You have nothing intelligent or truly original to give to this world in any sphere of influence OTHER THAN being cattle and breeding more cattle to be enslaved, raped, and eventually discarded. I've reached the conclusion at this point just with the low IQ fuckery that's been spammed on this board for years now; you're genuinely a subhuman cattle in my eyes, which has no purpose but to be used and thrown away.
Anyone who disagrees with me is subhuman in my eyes. End of discussion.

I'm 31 and I feel noticeably smarter now compared to my mid-20s. I make far fewer programming mistakes and breeze through puzzle games that I used to get stuck at.

This fat faggot used to run one of the better indie publishing houses, until he took a "mental health break" that never ended and promptly pivoted to trying to become a xitter celeb by dickriding BAP as hard as possible. His intelligence is probably declining because his only hobby is snorting coke with slavic hookers.

My grandmother tried to learn to read when she was 22 years old. Her boss was a teacher and put her on a special course for adults. Even so, my grandmother died without knowing how to draw her own name. She was born illiterate and died illiterate.
And all because her learning window had already closed.
Based on this empirical experience, I affirm that nothing complex is learned after the age of 18. Music, singing, drawing, painting, programming, other languages and so on.
