Someone in an older thread described the Megaman spin-off problem perfectly. All the game types have enough differences or just being totally different genres that you can just have classic, X, Zero, BN and Legends fans that don't like the other series. Hell, in my case I'm an X fan that likes classic series enough to play each at least once and somewhat likes Zero games but all the other ones aren't my taste.

Tron Bonne being in most crossovers is the same reason Morrigan Aensland is in most crossovers, charming (attractive) design and easy to put in crossovers, meanwhile, eclipsing almost everyone else in the game to the point most know more about the waifu than the game they are in.

While BN, no matter how much the fandom's excuse and copium is difficult to come up with a convincing lore reason for adding Megaman.exe in crossover games, which is why he was only in Onimusha Blade Warriors and was awkward in the game compared to Zero.

As much as I love Legends, it' only has a cult following compared to Battle Network but can crossover in games easier with Volnutt and Tron.

Bass.exe is the Akuma of the Megaman franchise imo. He's in every crossover because he's that much of powerful and cool-looking antagonist. The worst part about operators is that they have no toes.
