Yeah, I remember just didn't like Phoenix as a whole being the same once you play as him or having retuning more characters for noslaiga while not going all in by leaving some out (still have no idea what happened with Gumshoe and Franziska after the time skip.) My issue with the premise of Cross Fusion is that it goes against the Operator/Navi relationship. The Navi is the combatant and the Operator watches the battle from a bird's eye view and gives the Navi exactly the chips he needs at just the right moments to gain the advantage. In an ideal situation, neither the Operator nor Navi have to say anything; the Navi is fighting and all of a sudden, the best possible weapon appears in his hand for his immediate situation and the absolute perfect moment.
With Cross Fusion, though, the Navi is just reduced to being a power-up, and the Operator just does everything on his own. The Navi doesn't participate outside of being effectively a transformation tool, he can only see what the Operator sees and doesn't provide any strategy.

While I agree that the Navi becomes more of a power-up in Cross Fusion, at the same time, they have already explored the idea of Operator and Navi becoming one with Full Synchro. Full Synchro basically removed the lag between command and reaction, so in-game, they already went with the idea of the Operator becoming the Navi and went even further with BN3.
Sure, the anime could've gone with fusion both the Operator and Navi personalities but since they really didn't do that in the game, they went with a simple method of making Cross Fusion the anime version of Full Synchro that changes the Operator's appearance to match their Navi and have their ability, all the while need to preload battle chips before the fusion.

Probably the best 3D rendition of him that I've see so far.

No, the basic gameplay is completely different. CvS is basically Street Fighter 2 Turbo with some mechanics borrowed from Alpha 3 + SNK characters and a couple of SNK mechanics (like charging supers for S/SNK mode).
Marvel Vs, even aside from tag/assists, has the universal chain combo, super jumps/dashes with vertically scrolling stages and general more "explosive" gameplay (Just look at the Shinku Hadouken becoming a full screen beam).

MvC doesn't lack some of TvCs mechanics, such as Baroque, it also has two characters that are twice the size as any other character you would see in MvC, which can be an issue in terms of game balance. Despite being the closest to a MvC game, there's still stuff in it that makes it different form each other.

Pragmata hasn't come out, after when it was announced, eons ago, the REremakes of 2-4 were hit and miss and NOBODY wanted 4make to begin with, the SF6 went full ugly "woman", and only Monster Hunter brings em mobile money, the truth is that there never was any Capcom redemption arc after the fiascos that were RE6, the mishandling of MvC3 and SF5 and the shitstorm that was MvC Infinite, plus sucking the dick of both China, California and DEI and CERO as well with how much they fuck up their old games with censorship.
I don't know how is that they aren't near bankruptcy like with Konami, and even they released Silent Hill Fred Fucks.

Most of them, I believe, lore wise iirc Wily stole and reprogrammed Robot Masters from MM1, MM4, and MM9. I'm not sure if he built the ones in MM6 or where they all were made from different countries
