That last week of the first year of 2026 is right around the corner, and with it comes the end-of-month newsletter for gbo2.
Last week and this week continue Victory with the rise of the Zanscare Empire.
The first MS of Zanscare is the test bed MS piloted by Chronicle Asher, the Shokew, and this week is the first mass-produced flagship MS of the empire, the Zoloat; both of which are 600 cost MS.
On the Steam side of things starts the Risshun Festival Pre-event 2026 with unit adjustments of Freedom Gundam and Burning Gundam, the new suit for the week is also Silhouette Gundam Kai for 750 cost battles.

Why does this always happen? It feels as if you go for command points, you're just a loser cuck that's going to feed a kill to the enemy team. Most of the time only central points matter, capping side points is a case of preparing for defeat since you should have a central point and if the enemy has pushed you back enough to cap your home point its going to be hard to comeback regardless of the spawn points you got

at 750 it does an insane amount of shooting damage since it scales like crazy, the follow funnels are 60% total if all shots connect and you can fire off 5 bursts of it
not to mention the guided melee-type boomerangs that ignore MA and Fall Prevention, which you can throw while walking or jumping
it's as close to being a 750 native suit, maybe make a "Varguil (Enhanced)" where all it has is boost-fire shotgun and flaps

Because you double dip on other stuff too. Defense, special, AND attack parts all giving you HP is insanely strong. So you would be able to use those two parts you mentioned anyway AND get an extra 800 HP+shield HP on top on it, plus more with anything else you put on there. Aux armor was by far the strongest ex skill before and it was "balanced" by aux parts generally not being optimal picks outside of specialized builds.

the reduced respawn time is SO FUCKING NICE
the extra time spent in combat is noticeable. if both teams are decently matched, there's always a 2v2 or 3v3 brawl going on in the map and you can just spawn in and help instead of waiting 40-50 seconds for a full team spawn like before

you should see it in simple battle, it's as close to the AEW "Fight Forever" shit as you can get, literally endless brawling with what feels like TF2 basic insta-respawn (you still get a kill cam but your respawn timer is literally like 2-3s)
they did this because teams would spend all match shooting at the other's base waiting for the action to start, so being able to literally spawn 4s faster was done to mitigate that

attack lv5 now is +4 to both strengths for any move part
realistically, you're going to fit about 4 or 5 move parts then move on to increasing resistance or HP, granting you +16/+20 to both strengths
that's a 16-20% increase in all the damage you do, and it's far more valuable for suits that have some sort of thruster-reliant skill (like active guard, transform, fligh mode or suits that make heavy use of injectors) or have a hybrid playstyle (both shooty and melee are equally as strong)
i personally value mov>atk a lot due to how it lines up with my current style, but your mileage may vary
complex alpha lv5 is +250 HP, +2 thruster, +2 HSM, and -1% reload and OH time for weapons, for every "attack" part you put on a suit, at max whack (8 custom parts dedicated to attack) you get 2000 HP, 16 thruster and 16 HSM, and -8% reload/OH time for weapons
the battle complex is far more useful since it's just repair tool speed +25%, +5 to all res/strength and +5 to their maximums

Try practicing with a melee suit with no reliable ranged instant stuns like Sliferail. It forces you to be more aggressive with going in for melee and learn mind games without a stun as a crutch. A lot of the raids are more prone to this. Z'Gok is one of them, even when your guns are actually pretty good, you want to close in and get that melee. Your swings have some pretty disjointed melee so you can use it to "roll catch" people who try to dodge out of your melee combos.
Above 300 cost though, there's MS like Efreet Custom, BDU1, High Boost GM, Hobby Hizack, all in just 350 cost.
400: Act Zaku Commander, Gyan (pretty shit though, great melee damage), GM Spartan BD, Z'Gok E, Dwadge, Red Rider
450: Alex CA, Ghoul, Char's Gelgoog, Silver Haze Kai, Striker Custom, Dolmel
500: Engage Zero BST, GAZ-L, Gundam Pixie LA, Crabgoog, Psycho Zaku Mk2, GM Spaceseeker V, Schuzrum Galluss
550 and above is when raids end up blurring the line between shooty ranged and melee monkeys, even the most monkey raids end up being pretty good at shooting too, with only a couple of exceptions.
As for gens?
Dozle Zabi's Zaku 2, Gouf VD, Hy-gogg, GM Raid, Sliferail, Zogok, Zaku 2 R-3S, GM Dominance, Marasai, Geara Doga, Hi-Mo Kampfer, Dolmel Doue
Again, same situation as raids, 550 and above is when melee/shooty starts blending together.

I'd say the big problem is it's too reliant on the team. Even on Jaburo where it's ideal to have the anti-stealth and sight of raids/supports, it's too common to see people not actually go for them and meander around. Zaku Custom MG is okay if no one is molesting you and the Marasai BR is a meme, so you have to really hope the teammates you're hugging actually bother to look at you instead of just leaving you in the dust as usual.

What does it actually contribute? The specialist spots are kind of valuable, and if all its bringing is a camera its not really valuable. Yeah it can spot a raid, which is basically self defense, and spot the enemy support admittedly has some value but it has to move up to the front to get in range to actually use the camera gun or EWACs. So why bring Eyezack over say, a GM Sniper variant, or Guncannon? Better yet, why bring one to 450 where there are some really good Supports. In a 5v5 typical setup, that Support really needs to be contributing damage and stuns.

I'm generally only thinking about 400. In 450, EWAC Nero is just better on every account because it does everything Zack does but isn't gimped. Generally, I prefer EWACZack on smaller maps because you'd frankly be surprised at how many people don't pay attention to radar and its Anti-Stealth+Jamming helps the team...if they are actually capable of using their eyes of course. The damage is never high, but it helps chip off HP with the MG, compared to the sniper in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere missing every shot. I also find it easier to run back and help them to turn a 1v1 into a 2v1 whenever a support is in the midline or the front.

here's a little secret: badges are not hard at all to get, you basically just get like 5-10 matches where you do somewhat well, and that's how you get a gold badge on the selected suit, and silvers on its uplevels
there's also no reward other than some shitty stickers and a pilot arm pin that you can wear to real matches (barely noticeable and it's not even visible because of the camera placement) so yeah, it's just bragging rights

Im getting tired of 400-600. 550-600 isn't that big of an issue, but 400,450,500 is absolutely stacked with grampa gundams every game and, outside of maybe proto X1 in 500, raids may as well not exist in these costs, which means my support ass has to be the main tank, main flank, and also the main DPS while still providing radar and staying alive. I have to play three times as hard now compared to when we just had shit like Metal Spider to worry about.
I just wanna hop on and shoot some niggas and frag out, but there's 3-4 gramps per game and they are all very easy to get kills on and just delete people so if your team is also not stacked with grampas you're getting rolled out the gate and spawn camped entire match.
I miss seeing raids being powerful. Outside of Failnaught and Woundwort Rah II they may as well not exist.

Unfortunately, alongside grandpa there's also some extremely powerful suits.

there's a few other niche gens that can melee fight raids pretty reliably (Hi-Mo Kampfer my beloved) but playing Raid nowadays is much, much harder, especially since the yellows in those costs have gotten stronger at both doing damage to raids and being able to match their speed (looking at you, GCAqua, Woundwort, FA Alex, NT-X and Gelgoog Cannon)
People forget how real Raid Tax actually is, even when picrel was staring at them the entire time.it's a gen in 700 with much better stats and kit compared to the 750 raid that it's currently replacing with the Lv2, and that raid even got buffed to sorta match it, and it's a half-assed buff at that

i don't care how competently gens can eat supports nowadays since most of them have 2 melee weapons so you can just stunlock, it takes MUCH longer to do that than a raid who can just one-down all of them and put the fear of god into their hearts
besides, the raid itself, even if not very useful beyond a support kill every 30s, is useful for one thing: the gens will be putting their attention into hunting it, allowing you to get cheapshots once they turn their back and focus on it

Nah actually it's harder to play against gundams and gquux on support because they can get in and out untouched basically, whereas you could bait raids into completely eating shit by going for you and attract half your blues, now half the blues just leave it up to you and unless you're playing an absolutely cracked support with juiced up custom parts, fully enhanced and lvl 5 ranged mod, you're pretty much left alone mostly to eat shit now unless your team has a raid main playing heavy attack that can actually fight off the gens.
Tldr Blues all saw {ADVANTAGE} rushing at you before and all went for it and now they don't, now it takes twice as long for the gens to fend off another gen off a support and thus making support a harder role because you're the main chess piece in a gen stack meta.
