If I had to guess it would be a combination of lots more 70s stuff getting fully translated and Arc reminding anons that G exists. Maybe it's people thinking it doesn't stand out.

Getter G manga is good
Getter G anime is bad.
Too childish. Many episodes are repetitive, and Benkei is insufferable.
