It's so much fun, I personally love these tropes where the protagonist is constantly threatened and cornered with having his embarrassing secret revealed.
This one in particular reminds me a lot of Aku no Hana, and Sugarcoat is the perfect character to fill that role of a psychopathic bitch who enjoys toying with the poor virgin Anon's social life.
Sunny is a cutie, and I like her characterization here
She might seem a bit too innocent at times, but I think it works in the context of this green
Although I'm not a fan of Sunny being tied to the fashion world.
Yeah, yeah, Sunny is meant to be like evil Rarity, but giving her the same passion takes away SunSun's individuality.
I'm talking more about the concept because it's not really a problem here, honestly; it serves its purpose and gives us a silly scene (it could have been better written and make it more funny or lewd, but it's okay)
But the character who steals the show is Sugarcoat; she's very in-character, she's the one who constantly pulls the strings of the plot, and she's simply funny.
This green has two alternate endings, and while I prefer "Stayed" and it's perhaps the one I'd most recommend for a first run, I admit that "Kicked Out" is more realistic and fun.
In retrospect, it's a fairly straightforward story that doesn't stray far from what you might expect, but it's still fun and proof that sleepoverbros just can't stop winning!

Writer here, glad you like them. I mainly stayed with the basic prompt because it was a fun idea, and I can understand wishing it to be better written. Curse of being an ESL.
As for a lewd take, I thought about Sugarcoat being the one ruining the sleepover on purpose because she wanted anon for herself, but I decided against it because I felt it very OOC at that point.
It even was going to have to endings: one where anon accepts her feelings, and Sugarcoat basically indulges him in sexy secret scenarios at school; and the other where he refuses, she gets mad, "bounces" a lot, and basically it ends like that one Futurama episode where the guys "survived" Snu-Snu.

What do you think about doing something like a bookclub with fanfics about these lovely girls?
Let's say that each week we choose (or randomly select from everyone's suggestions) a short fic and at the end of the week we share some thoughts on it.
I know, some fics will probably be bad or not very engaging, but when our focus is on the characters, we have a lot to talk about without feeling like we're overanalyzing:

An anchor post sounds cool but I suppose the discussion of that week's stories starts anytime on saturday when the first anon posts their opinions or so, I wouldn't want people to have to wait for an anon (me) to start

Well, starting the Shadowbolt Bookclub, I'll talk about “Sleepy Sugarcoat”, which I think gives us some talking points.
It's cute, I like how it portrays Sugarcoat trying to improve her attitude but still being a bit grumpy and cold, it's definitely not a case of “it could be anyone”, but rather it captures the character.
There's also this idea of “Sugarcoat tries to be nice only to end up being the only pony who isn't unbearable or difficult to deal with in one way or another in her group of friends”, like, Sugarcoat, of all the Shadowbolts, tries to be friendlier, and even the other Shadowbolts make it difficult for her
it sounds like an interesting scenario, I personally likes how it works here.
But that doesn't happen with Sunny, who I feel is quite a “good girl” and has no traits at all, I don't know what you guys think
She going to listen Sugarcoat's speech is something a good friend, and she, would do and I think it's cute, it's just that beyond that she doesn't have any traits that make me link her to Sunny Flare herself, even if we're talking about a “Sunny Flare reformed after FG and Dance Magic”
There's also Indi, who I think might cause some problems in some people's headcanons...
Here she comes across as annoying; she literally finds out that Sugar is sleepy and goes out of her way to bother her because it's fun. She's like an RD, but instead of innocent jokes, she likes to make jokes that clearly annoy her victims
What do you think? Is this the Indigo you have as headcanon, whether it's Indi before FG or Indi after FG?
Do you even make those "after/before" distinctions?
