I wasn't thinking of it as "faith" magic so much as just magic inherent to the existence of changelings. Earth ponies can make plants grow, and are inherently unnaturally strong, why? Just becaues that's what earth ponies are. An orchard in an earth pony town is always going to be livelier and more fruitful just by their very presence, their ambient magic influencing the earth.
Changelings are less obviously straightforward; they are somewhat alien, or perhaps rather (more thematically) faerie, fey. They can take on other shapes, unlike any other race, and they have an affinity for... holes, why? Just because they're changelings. It's what they are, they are hole-filled faeries. The holes let them put on the shapes of others, because their own form is incomplete, hollow. And when they build swiss cheese stone columns in their architecture, they are hollow in the same sense that a changeling is hollow, and this does not make the stone brittle.
Perhaps, like a changeling drains love from other beings, changeling-built holed architecture might intrinsically draw energy from surrounding living beings? On its own, or inhabited by changelings, it survives because of the fey ambient magic; but if abandoned by changelings, any attempt by normal living beings to inhabit it will cause an inexplicable background feeling of fatigue, low energy, lack of drive in any foolish enough to set up camp in the grand city left behind. But if fed it could survive for centuries and millenia without turning into ruins without needing maintenance.
But I dunno about that. On a more simple note I just like the idea of changelings making themed buildings and it just working because it's their theme; you know, like how pegasi build out of clouds and it just works for a pegasus city, even though it wouldn't work for any other race.
