That's fair enough, although I personally think it's fun to breathe life into someone else's idea, to let someone guide my hand, just like I do with the artwork I commission. You know, it's kind of funny, but in the same way an artist basically draws whatever he wants with the idea and just gives veto power, I'm basically taking my story commissions in whichever direction I please and giving my commissioners veto power, but they rarely ever ask for changes. So, it's almost more like paying someone to focus on something instead of something else, say.

It's a fun part of art. If you want a certain thing to be paid attention to, give it more light or detail. It subconsciously draws the eye. Sounds obvious, but it's one of those things you can't really use yet when you're new, and then you have to remember again and implement once you're advanced enough.
