I remember seeing their first video when it came out. I'm very glad that they put out something, though the fact that it took them 3-4 years to animate about 0.0065% of the story is... not particularly optimistic.There are a few minor gripes I have:

Personally I thought the original FoE fic was one of the worst literary abortions I've ever read and I still don't understand how or why it ever became so popular. But at the same time I'm glad that something this fandom made became successful enough to spawn its own fandom. I'm also glad fan projects like this new video are still being made, I support the creation of this kind of thing just on principle. I've never understood the whole "I don't like ______ so nobody else should be allowed to like it either" mentality.

Honestly I went into FoE with the lowest expectations imaginable and I came out the other end loving it. I always thought it sounded stupid so i never gave it a proper shot until around a year ago. Kind of stilll think its dumb if i think too hard about it.

I understand the mentality, but its something I grew out of after the age of like 19.

My problem I think is kind of the opposite. I hold fanfictions to unrealistically high standards and then get mad when they don't meet my expectations. Oddly though the ones that are genuinely, obviously terrible don't bother me as much, it's the ones like FOE that get wildly popular despite being deeply flawed that always end up pissing me off.
