The thing I was thinking of was if Sky Wishes 39 years old, why the fuck is she still in the orphanage? An orphanage would never allow someone to stay for so long and, frankly, a 40 year old would have bounced a long time ago. It's due to them also being midgets, they're borderline children, being so mentally deficient they were kept in the system, a system which doesn't exactly work to begin with given how low the cost of life in pony world actually is and how even kids like Trixie didn't end up there even after both parents died. Sky wishes looks like a kid and actually acts like one and has no sense of independence as well as seemingly lacking any real education like the rest so in the eyes of anyone else, even star, they looked and acted like fillies until that birthday came up.

I finished the film and being honest, the only weak part kinda feels like the scootaloo addition since the entire thing just kinda flies by and while it was built up it kinda just happened and then ends before it then also cuts to the timeskip fake out; though there's the orphanage stuff and Star Catcher really never elaborating on that battle but I supposed that part was more expected I guess. It didn't feel pointless but it really did kinda point out that Trixiebelle unironically went full incel over a situation he caused but then glosses over the whole 'oh yeah I was the actual Trixiebelle' bit it slipped in. Still neither hurts the film all that much since at least every part does technically connect but god damn he stood 0 chance in a fight

I think the biggest flaw with this movie is just the order of the scenes
It cuts between different scenarios without any flow, and the timeline of when people go to the scream 7 movie is confusing
the pieces are all there, and its nice it all comes together in the end, but I think just a simple edit of when stuff happens would have really elevated it

I'm a bit dissapointed in this aspect, since all the recent mare episodes have been much better paced

I rewatched Twilight fights a clown which was my least liked episode and the first half was good, it was just the second half made me remember the whole episode as shit.

So I've rewatched the episode. The most common complaint I've heard seems to be the pacing. And I agree that it gets confusing and disjointed with so many characters. I won't say much about the comedy because it had really good moments but some were so predictable that dragged on (Twilight transformation joke).

What Im mostly trying to sort is the new stuff. The new characters stories could have handled itself better. I wonder if the exposition could have been done better if it was it's own episode. In SU we had a couple "Origin stories" episodes that explained important bits for certain characters and were self-contained stories (Kevin the Hedgehog or Sleet and Dingo for example). But I'm not sure if this would be possible with the way the channel handles the upload schedule.

So we have massive backstory that was apparently edited to not lean into controversial territory. For Trixiebelle and Skywishes in particular you can really tell they were meant to be kids. And that bday scene seems to be the most apparent hint of it. I can imagine the original vision would have been something like Skywishes reaching 20 years old (19 in the candles) and then use the same joke of turning the 6 to a 9. It'll make sense that was the case because of Starcatcher's reaction and that leading to the conversation of "Would I ever be adopted?" and even discusing about college and a possible future together (Some people would have raised their eyes but 20 is still a legal age I suppose). Trixiebelle seems much younger tho. His relationship with Starcatcher seems more motherly-platonic. But I guess Tamers2 could have got worried about the implications of grooming (She's still her caretaker and the talk about getting her fired because of her "closeness" with them could have been interpreted that way). About how old Starcatcher would have been originally I cannot say but probably just older than 40. This wouldn't really matter because the main problem were the kid ages. In typical Tamers absurdism this also could be just an overly exagerated bit of old ass horses not being adopted but it really felt like we were meant to take this characters seriously by the tone. So I don't buy it.

Both plot A (Trixie gets hunted by Trixiebelle) with B (Scootaloo and Sweetybelle's conflict) seem to be so far appart because of the pacing problems. We have wait for an the entire flashback backstory for about 10+ minutes and and then when we're back at Scootaloo's destroying the world (50 mins into the movie) right about the end for the whole bullying point to show up. Let's count the sideplots: Rarity's new appartment, Scream 7 movie, Trixiebelle's backstory and Twilight trying to stop Scootaloo. I'm not counting the SOL bits with Mari and Glimmer or the Flawless/Fractured whoring themselves ones because they're part of their contained arcs. I feel like we're just tagging along during random moments with them to see how they're doing and how some of that will play a role in the future. Episodes with a messy pacing like this have worked in the past like Flawless Farts or even the Tournament of Power to a lesser extent. But having a sideplot that really wants to take it seriously and having it shoved into a mostly comedic episode seems to be the bigger issue. At least that's how I see it.

Even in Celestia's narration that aspect is left unclear.

I still highly enjoyed the episode, despite what i am about to say it's still a solid 8.5/10 to me, but in hindsight it felt like i was watching the Jimmy Timmy Power Hour without the crossover aspect to justify the weird back and forth.
Some of the scenes kinda don't make sense when the two plots are together, such as Rarity, Sweetie Belle and Pinkie Pie in the theater after the million dollar apartment scene and Celestia's appearance in the Scootaloo section after her being butthurt at Luna and Twilight and before her making amends with them.
And exactly when the scenes are placed and cut into each other doesn't make much sense either.
It felt like that we were going to get Triixie & Trixiebell weeks ago and the Sweetie Belle & Scootaloo parts is what we were going to get now by itself, two separate half hour episodes, but since the former got delayed both of them were being worked on at once so Tamers (mare) decided to splice the two together into one big movie.
I decided to make more edits and separated the two episodes into what i think was roughly what we were going to get without that delay.
Some scenes are actually more funny and/or impactful when the two plots are edited like they're two different episodes. I also restored what the original orphanage scene would be like.

Editing these videos have been really fun! This episode was pretty funny and good, minus the weird trans flag pedophile horse. Yes, I know the mini horses aren't kids but you know what I mean. I don't even mind there being trans horse shit. I agree with you for the most part. I still think the biggest issue is leaving shit unfinished and keep adding plot points that won't go anywhere (This happens a lot on the mare timeline). I believe that's part of the reason why a lot of people tuned out since DoTS. The credits hint to a lot of cool shit but barely anything gets proper development or it's only there as fanservice.
I respect how Tamers can just grab anything and make it funny but ngl I'm getting fed up with all the underdeveloped plotlines. It's just getting harder to follow for new people to jump in. Just like stallion timeline with all the OC's but at least that one keeps its continuity more under control.

When Trixie mentions how this princess vanished a long time ago, Trixiebelle explains that he doesn't remember exactly what happened but one day Princess Trixiebelle got so lonely being a princess and wanted to be an ordinary pony that she used forbidden magic to get rid of her alicorn magic, destroying most of what she is and turning into the Latino midget we have now.

So not only are they one and the same Trixiebelles in lore and canon, but ironically enough this confirms that technically Trixiebelle is the trans character being FTM.

Well like i said it hasn't gotten to that point, and i wasn't talking about insults, i was talking about how people here tend to create their own narratives of what happens behind the scenes and treat them as fact. Making this a separate post because this topic isn't really brought up, but i got a question to ask.
Spending all that time working on editing the Tournament of Power to remove that flashback for that guy got me wondering, what would a stallion Tournament of Power be like?
I know that two of the four universes would be stallion's MLP and Dandy's world, but what would be the other two?
And what would the teams be?
For MLP i'm sure it'd be Soarin, Braeburn, Big Mac, Care Package, Clean Sweep and Arinos.
And for Dandy's World it'd be Dandy, Astro, Sprout, Rodger, Goob and Dyle.
What teams would you guys make and what other two worlds would you include? I think it'd have to be something related to Tamers, more specifically stallion.
