I felt the same a few years ago, but even now I realize I wasn't thinking about it as much as I should have been. Cutting it off for a while helped me realize what was missing and what was being provided, and that helped me decide the place different fetishes should have in my life. Maybe I went too far in the other direction, but maybe it was necessary, so I could find the happy medium in between.
Still, I can't help the frustration when I see others not thinking about it and hurting themselves and others as a result. But it's hard to convince people of anything when thinking is discouraged everywhere.
