Welcome back to the buggiest thread to ever be dedicated to the buggiest mom in all of equestria In the wake of mothers day (the second most celebrated holiday by bugs) we gather once again to discuss teh bugs, to post the bugs, to send hate to skittlebugs and most of all, to love the bugs <3
>>/bug/ thread writing list: (soon to have thread compendium added)
>>43241388 >pony klaus schwuab >wants everypony to live in pods >wants everypony to fug ze bugz instead of eating least obvious changeling plant in equestrian history
If you ignored the big fuck-off tower the changelings get in the late seasons, what do (You) think the badlands are like? Are changelings desert dwellers? Do they live in something similar to an ant colony?
>>43241734 >If you ignored the big fuck-off tower i like the way they made the hive look lel >what do (You) think the badlands are like? well typically they are harsh awful places to live, at least in more desert examples experiencing both ends of the spectrum (i.e. super hot summers and super chilly winters) not to mention the terrain is by nature eroded and really shitty to traverse (unless youre naturally able to fly like a changeling) >Are changelings desert dwellers? i would say yes, given what was said above they are perfectly adapted to the harsh environment their hive is situated in moreover the adaptation of their species eating love as a main source of energy makes even more sense given the extremely poor distribution of plants and animals to predate in their immediate surroundings
it should also be said that if the badlands are their natural habitat that their ancestors were more than likely intelligent enough to have developed their hive complex as a way to combat their dry environment and the effects that would have on their buggy bodies possibly as a short term alternative to evolving tougher more acclimatized anatomy over hundreds of thousands of years >Do they live in something similar to an ant colony? given what we have seen, yes with chambers presumably specifically for hatching and another (at the climax of the to where and back again two parter) specifically for the queen to reside both not too dissimilar to chambers in an actual ant colony
I understand that there is some obvious distinction between love and lust when it comes to changeling feeding but what of true love? At least in compare to other forms of love to be taken
>>43244363 If a photosynthesising alien from a planet with no concept of eating asked me what is true food, I would answer "whatever fills my bowels is true, merely by virtue of filling my bowels". But it makes me imagine a parallel world where changelings won and gone decadent pushing their pony slaves to produce the truest forms of love.
>>43245298 >a parallel world where changelings won and gone decadent pushing their pony slaves to produce the truest forms of love. to an extent it is more than likely easy with the methods they have on hand at least to the head canons i hold with them having total control over manipulation of dreams to keep ponies happy and producing love passively while captured and hanging from walls in the hive and then on an extreme end to get more genuine love could be imagined as mini truman show setups within the hive for particularly high love producing ponies where they live a perfect life perhaps that could be a method out of desperation though
>best night sleep in a long while >did let the bedbugs bite >dream felt like it was days long >was back in highschool >kept sneaking out my bedroom window with the queen to do stuff >might turn it into a full green idk
>changeling transformer dream >started disguised as a human >walking through a long mall food court >every restaurant had the same first name that started with an "S" but every stall served a different type of food >got food for someone >left with a friend >both transformer style turned into cars >the only part of my disguise that didn't shift with me was the hoodie my mom gave me that I had to take off beforehand >needed to keep it near me to not starve >drove third person in the rain with my friend until I woke up
>>43249855 >bug gear any real ling worth their wings doesnt need a thing to be an efficient member of the hive and every tool a ling needs in their skillset is already in their mind and in the form shifting naturally available to them tools will always be pony nonsense thought up to weigh down their users
>>43250134 Cmon, I have to report something to my superiors. You guys should know better than anybody how awkward it feels to return home empty-handed.
>>43250527 >You guys should know better than anybody how awkward it feels to return home empty-handed. What a disgustingly insensitivething for a pony to say....
does shape shifting magic extend to their physical forms a-la regeneration and reformation of damaged body parts or is it only illusory in your opinion?
>>43251023 This is a interesting thing to think about. In my head, I imagine they're physically changing but things like injuries, let's say a broken leg, would remain.
I dreamt of Chryssi last night. I don't remember why, but I was dying and she was starving, so I offered that she could turn me into something that would feed her forever after I died. But I didn't want to die and was incredibly scared, so she just sat with me while we cried, waiting for the end. Sorry for blog posting
>>43254849 vivid dreams like that are the best even if theyre kinda fucked up lel makes me wanna start drinking again, I have the coolest dreams after I drink
>>43259899 Yeah In the way that good nurtured relationships are fulfilling (even though you're a bug replacing a pony) Would realistically make a lot of changelings the nicest ponies you could ever run into in equestria, with them having an obligation based on their own survival to make friends and family and keep them happy while they're disguised
>>43261455 Well, clearly they're mid-legs, given that bugs are prone to a minimum of 6 in most cases. Probably an implied vestigial legs given the entire "Bug-Horse" thing. Admittedly unnerving unless you're use to Norse mythology.
>>43261510 More often than not in more buggy changeling art ive seen vestigial legs like that as the first set Starting on the low chest usually styled as mantas pincers More legs than the standard pony form is simply more of an overdesign in my eyes
>>43266286 >in the leadup to the replacement of the m6 trials are held to find the most capable among the hives ranks >some lings seem to be confused about the assignment and who they're training to replace
>>43257702 chryssi would be a good cowboy villain >string of ponies drained of love across the appaloosa frontier >rumblings of a changeling gang begin to spread >a marshal stallion has to get to the bottom of it and stop them before every town is drained of love >and try not falling in love with the outlaw gang leader in the process
>mean ocellus SHE IS SO CUTE OMFG WHY COULDNT WE HAVE GOT AT LEAST ONE EPISODE WITH HER!?!??!?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA FUCK GAMELOFT FOR MAKING THESE DESIGNS THAT WOULD NEVER BE
>>43270523 I'd like to believe if she was a sword she would be the kind that would talk to you Not really in the literal internal voice kinda way but just influencing you to feed her more love, influencing you to get stronger so you can get her even more love She would maybe even get you to spread more swords like her across the land
>>43272513 their sizes should have been swapped but the way it is only showcases the bias of the manufacturer glad they hadnt outright made her black though
>>43272549 That's something I never understood about their Luna figure Celestia I could see with a tan if not for her white coat, she's the princess of the sun Why is the princess of the MOON not pale?
>>43272565 Its almost like the designers don't actually care about the themes and narratives connected to the characters they're making these figures of or something How strange
>>43273929 theyre for stealth, not aesthetics bugs wear socks so air doesnt whistle through their holes while theyre sneaking around undisguised bugs are always suspicious of other bugs wearing socks within the hive
>dreaming >chrysalis and I are in a car trying to evade the police >she hands me a cassette tape and warns me its a gun that goes off if you touch the exposed tape on the bottom >I toss it in the door panel cubby >we eventually stop >an officer passively strolls past the car from behind smoking a cigarette like theyre on break
>>43275990 I could see her easily bodying both weird al and twilight at once without anypony else around to get in the way Even without getting supercharged by shinings love or something like that
>>43278256 What about this one? Is pony gay love more focused towards lust like in real life? Is she warning them of this so they know not to get confused and come back to the hive empty-hooved?
>>43278266 love to bugs is love, making some sort of distinction between its source is an alien concept gay, straight, whatever it doesnt matter what kind of pony or creature it came from as long as it feeds you and yours as creatures that can take literally any form you can think of to get it

>>43284659 You get wine by leaving juice unattended. By analogy, bugwine is made of decades-long unrequited feelings, one-sided loyalty and/or pygmalionism. You get beer by leaving sweet soup unattended. Bugbeer is a youthful infatuation that never went anywhere but sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night asking yourself if things could have been different. I don't know how bugheroin is made and I want this statement to be clearly recorded in my machine-compiled case record.
>>43284706 >bugheroin easy, first you desiccate small bits of pony brain, then you grind it to a fine powder, mix with a little tar and crushed crystalized love and blamo, bugheroin, containing the entire emotional life of the pony who "donated" their brain
>>43284659 >drunk off of love more like a food coma probably they just get real bloated and lethargic and lazy if they get too much love at one time >>43284706 >bugwine >Bugbeer sure, different drinks made with different processes of fermenting changeling love honey in the same way as mead is made of bee honey bug liquor would probably be made illegal with how insanely strong it would be to distil an already concentrated fermented love >>43284737 >pony brain feel like love is more of a heart thing, more symbolic like there is more meaning in extracting the love from a ponies' heart
