A 50w amp with a cab sim is ideal. It doesn't make sense to use a low-wattage amp for playing at home, and a different high-wattage amp for rehearsal and shows. You'd have to have completely different settings on all your shit and it will sound completely different. A cab sim lets you at least approximate what your amp is going to sound like live.

Attenuating the amp, keeping all your same settings and same gear, is a better trade off than using an entirely different amp and fucking your sound that way. Thanks. Found this amp at a pawn shop knowing absolutely nothing about it, they didn't know it was a tube amp so I got it for a crazy price. (they thought it was broken because they weren't letting it warm up. Seriously it only takes like 30 seconds, but they were just clicking it on and when it wasn't making any sound clicking it off)

Limitation breeds creativity, and hiding behind pedals only mimics creativity. Each one has a specific use, too, though I'm still wondering if it's even worth it to use the compressor.

The Blues Driver isn't much of an OD, desu, it gives crunch for my "clean" tone, and the Super Overdrive adds the real OD overtop of it. Look up the two of them together - they're designed to work in tandem, and they work really well.
It's a classic combo and people've been using it since the 90s. The Pillows use that combo a ton, and they may not be the most talented or technical guitarists, but they're my guilty pleasure.
