if music becomes yet another hobby that chains me to the computer in my office I will kill myself

I do all my production on a macbook pro. Why not just get a laptop?

Latency is always an issue with interfaces through DAWs. And if you think it's not, you probably play some low tempo faggotry and just can't tell.

You can fix latency in ableton pretty easily. Also playing on time helps a lot

why not just download FREE synth emulators and work on them with a midi keyboard.
This instrument unironically
>does everything

welcome to the future Unc

Most people don't do that since interface deficiencies are so downplayed they assume it's not an issue.

Because Zoomers dont want to git gud at piano. That requires learning Music Theory. God FORBID!!!! Zoomers learn to play instruments!!!
No no no thats too hard!!
What do you mean MELODY!? I just want to make lo-fi beats to study to! Melody is too hard to come up with, it hurts my fifis! Learning the classical and jazz pentatonic is too harsh man!

Dedicated knobs, sliders, buttons, etc., that were thoughtfully placed with respect to the workflow of the workstation in mind.

Is that a Casio Privia? I had one of those when I was in college so I could practice in my room.

Do you have a workstation?

Get out of my head nigger my dad got mine when I went to college for music school
>>
daw is soulless
>>
>>129324250
so what should I use nigger?
>>
>>129321867
skill issue. learn what you are doing
>>

daw should be for recording, processing and mixing. virtual instruments are soulless. you need to have something external making sounds and being sent to daw to record.
music is air being moved. virtual instruments >> master out has no air moving ergo no soul involved in the creation.

you'll actually keep sync with other hardware, though with modern akai who knows
>>
>>129328009
Can't most modern samplers keep you in sync?

If i already have a 404 mk2 what would be a good workstation to pair with it? When I'm doing music outside the house it's usually my 404 and my Mac plus my bass and small midi keyboard. I tried the live 2 last year but it really didnt click with me but it's supposedly a good one. I think my mobile setup could possibly use a workstation but I'm not sure if it's worth it. They seem very cool but I'm not sure what advantages I could gain besides being able to record more instruments if someone wanted to plug into my setup. At home I work on a m4 pro and I have a digital grand. I would like if one could add to my workflow by giving me some ways to sample things

Nu-MPC is tighter than the MPC-3000, basically the best though are the classic Yamaha QX-1 and QX-3, these are the tightest sequencers ever made. Ever!

You've never played at higher than 300 bpm.
