i did my best. it was difficult to come up with answers after the 70s. most of the great bands after the 70s straddle 2 decades and not most of a single decade.

The only one that I think can even come close is Black Sabbath honestly, I've always paired these 2 groups together as having incredible runs. I think I would give an honorable mention to David Bowie in the 70s, pinups isn't so bad.
