I'm genuinely sad a copy of this book costs over $2k. I'm praying that christophers new book succeeds in sales so that Mattel or whoever the owners are would reconsider putting it back into distribution again.

There's no need to pirate it. It's available on the internet archive. But it's never the same as owning a copy you can hold in your hands, studying it in your free time, reading it before bed every night or reading it while drinking coffee.
