Did boomers actually have posters of cars on their wall? Is that just a figure of speech? Or did they really get posters of cars they thought were cool?

Yes. Before there was the internet people had to view things on paper documents called "newspapers" and "magazines".
It was effectively like a wallpaper on your phone/pc, but for your room.
>>
>>28821339
why is there a front spoiler right at the height of headlights? Is night visibility overestimated?
>>
>>28821384
Night lights go higher in og countach, this is a limo kitcar, spoiler is there so that front doesnt lift off at speed
>>
>>28821347
Does this mean that the Internet has not always existed?
>>
>>28821339
Late gen X here.
Absolutely.
>>
>>28821347
but my phone and pc have pure black as the wallpaper though am I really the weird one here?
>>
>>28821339
Plenty of car magazines had posters you could rip out and pin up on the wall. Also many news-agencies and record shops had a rack of posters you could buy.
>>
>>28821396
That front spoiler was US only. I thought it was to meet minimum bumper height regulations.
>>
>>28821419
Yeah, you're the weird one.

t. also has a black wallpaper on most of my computers.
>>
>>28821384
As the others said it's US spec for some model years, but OP's pic is a replica so all the proportions are off
The running lights and indicators aren't covered as much on the original

Not a boomer but confident that I'm older than avg 4chins user (not much of a bar these days). I have an 90s 8 series BMW framed poster in my room. It used to be on a wall but now it's just laying up against a wall and sitting on my drawer.
(not this picture of course, but this car and colour).
I now have a Monaro, used to have an E36 325i though. I still miss it, even though it was too underpowered for my liking. E36s have aged gracefully.

Don't think it's that weird, I just use the original wallpaper or switch to one in an unobtrusive colour

Few years ago I used sectional drawings, just hard to find that's not on a plain white background

Yes, posters were a thing. I had a tapestry of a red 911.
>>28821514
>>28821517
That shit was seriously cool BITD. Imagine rolling up next to a boxy ass Town Car limo in that thing.
>>
>>28821419
unironically yes. especially since you had to make a conscious effort to have a black wallpaper instead of leaving it the default inoffensive pattern or nature photo

>cool sports car
>hot woman in a bikini
This is what real men are into.
I miss the objectification of women...
>>
>>28821963
Maybe, just maybe I framed them first.
>>
>did people really put posters of things they like on their wall???

How retarded are these zoom zooms kek
>>
Uhh yeah, people still do that?
Is it really that weird to put posters of stuff you like on your wall?
My computer room walls are covered in vtuber posters.

Move your antenna about a bit and see if it improves

It's not a replica. It's a fully custom vehicle, down to the chassis.
>>

Couldn't tell you. We didn't usually go to each other's rooms. First off it was hot in the house, and second, parents were usually pretty militant that you go outside and stay there. If you did go inside for some reason you tended to be met with the single word "Out!" growled at you as soon as you stepped in.

Which was generally fine with us since parents were to be avoided, it was hot in there, and we were having fun with our friends outside anyway. If something proved to be needed from civilization beyond water from the hose eventually somebody would bite the bullet and go inside to get it and come right back out.

Son a boomer, had posters of C4 vette, Bugatti EB110, and a classic Camaro. Also Metallica MoP album cover, Guns n Roses velvet blacklight, and various bikini models. The Camaro poster was my uncle's but I liked it so kept it.
>>
>>28821339
I don't remember this front spoiler at all. Which timeline is this? Fruit of the loom no cornucopia?
>>
>>28821339
You'll also notice the model (female) isn't a pile of blubber covered in shit tattoos.

Happier times.

That's not a picture of a car, numbnuts. It's a picture of a woman, and there's a car so that the boomer's mom has plausible deniability that her son is spanking the monkey to those bolt-ons every night and twice on Sunday.
>>
>>28823182
Only twice?

>>

I didn't have posters on my wall. Just a big map.
>>
>>28823131
Millennials spent their entire youth seething at boomers, and then they act like boomers to younger generations.
Truly a narcissistic generation, no wonder they're called special snowflakes.
>>
>>28821339
The mechanics who would fix my dad's car always had calendars with cars and sexy ladies on their office wall. Sometimes the calendars had ladies with their tits out or were completely naked too. Then you knew it was a good mechanic.
>>
>>28821339

>>
>>28821514
