the green you posted appears to be rather saturated but it's very dark. it almost looks like it could be black in that image. I also see subarus in a less saturated green but again that's not what I'm talking about

Taxi association ruins it in the public eye.
There are a few ways to overcome this.
1) Have a car that nobody can mistake for a taxi. Generally this means a 2 door car sports car of some sorts.
2) Have a shade of yellow that's clearly not a taxi. Something like gold/brass.
3) Go orange.
