if you do most of your driving as.. driving vs commuting, yeah they're great. i would not want to own one in a diverse/enriched area, or one full of of poors who will maliciously fuck with your car, just because.
>>
>>28824342
The Italians thought of this. They knew how shitty others can be and put immobilisers in them from the factory and the interior is all plastic and leather, super easy to clean even if some jealous cuck vandalised it. I drive one of these to commute and even in a country plagued with gypsies, I haven’t had it messed with. Even if mine is a flashy yellow

Don't worry about your looks. I'm no picture, but love driving with the top down, except when it's hot and sunny out. Start by only dropping the top at night, or wear a bandana over your face and a hat.

>trunk space
My BMW lost a bit of trunk space, my current mustang does not. But, dunno -- it works as my DD. But we also have an SUV (wife's daily) and an old beat up work truck for whatever.
I will say though; the 5 months out of the year that are convertible weather (southern OR), cruising with the top down on a sunny day is bliss.

>>filters out npc drivers who can’t handle the weather even with the heater turned up or feel “unsafe” in it, purely a chad’s open casket on wheels
this framing is retarded and made up considering convertibles are literally secretary cars
its peak npc design
>>
>>
>>
>>28825212
>most convertibles are secondary cars
Good, more for us. If the PO sells it because he didnt use it almost at all, that proves it filters npcs who dont use them all the time. If you don't have one as a primary use car, you’re an npc.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>28825645
Very true. However, some folks choose the fun engaging car over the more luxurious comfortable but boring car. That’s why npcs go for crossovers and suvs because of “practicality” for daily use and then get something “fun and quirky” which is a golf gti with an automatic. I have pic related and I use it daily. My 2nd car is a van I use to get parts and building materials but it is not at all luxurious or comfortable. It is my secondary car.

>makes NPCs that can't be coddled by 70 degree climate control seethe
>makes benchracing autists seethe
It's the most chad type of vehicle by far. It's telling on our society seeing how they've fallen out of fashion in all but a few odd sports cars and expensive exotics. Comfy convertible cruisers used to be a dime a dozen and actually driven by normies.
>>28825212
Those secretaries drive Rav4s, CX-5s and Santa Fes now, since convertibles and even regular-height sedans are '''unsafe'''. Considering I almost never see convertibles on the road at all aside from the odd rental-spec Mustang, I guess I'm not surrounded by NPCs? It's not the '90s where "chick cars" are Del Sols/VW Cabrios/Z3s/Miatas anymore. The chick cars are now crossovers.

>used to be dime a dozen
Here in Europe even hatchbacks like the Peugeot 206 got turned into one. I still see them on the roads a lot so they sold in big numbers back then and even now people drive them. It’s a shame any nu-Peugeot isn’t offered as one but maybe that’s for the better.

A hat covers your head. Even better for chads with a full head of hair since it provides extra thermal insulation from the sun unlike for baldlets. For protecting the rest of your body just wear a white t shirt and if you’re ginger wear sunscreen as well
>>
>>28828357
>hydraulic cylinders
That can indeed be bad but I found most roofs use electrical screw like pistons or gear systems if powered, or gas springs if you move the roof manually. The gas springs on mine went bad after 27 years so I replaced them but it was pretty easy and cheap. I think one cost 15 bucks or something. For your rattling roof try grabbing it and shake it to see if some bracket it sits in is loose or check for play where it attaches

>scared of going fast
My car is a death trap according to 90% of the population. It’s more exciting to take it on the highway than your onions sedan that isolates cucks like you from the outside world. It sounds like you’re the one too pussy to mash the accelerator. Imagine even having a cabin air filter lmao
>luxury means gorging on GOYSLOP in my GOYMOBILE surrounded by touchscreens and cheap plastic
Couldn’t be me. Imagine being such a GOY this means “luxury” to you. Luxury means full leather seats and that’s it. Anything else like buttons and touchscreens and led lights is not luxurious. I have a question for you, what is your opinion on the Dodge Viper?
>>
I've been wanting a convertible for a while now. Either a late 60s early 70s giant MOPAR convertible with a big block.
https://youtu.be/dZ6nvC77w1A
or maybe build something nasty for the street out of a smaller convertible and put a roll cage in it. It would be sick to have a pristine, functioning top to come down and expose a roll cage.
