If you're buying a car for its utility and not as a fashion accessory or a hobby, you should always buy cars that are popular in third world countries. A car that's resistant to those conditions will last much longer.

rear windows are unnecessary nowadays due to the quality of rear and side cameras. mazda also comes with rear cross traffic warning that will let you know of oncoming car or pedestrian faster than you'll ever see them even if you were in a convertible. Boomer.

fuck that
backup cameras are nice but they don't replace me looking at things with my real human eyeballs
until you can project a full sphere around me so I can literally look through the car like an F-35 pilot I want good visibility through the windows

Assuming you have a car with a 360 degree camera setup, proximity sensors and an electronic rear view mirror, explain why you need to see something with your "real human eyeballs" without mentioning

>"feel"
>your granpappy doing it that way
or any other dumb emotional arguments

No thirdies tend to value vehicles that are dependable and easy to repair.

especially with the way they try to hide how comically huge the C pillars are

The only reason I can't recommend Mazdas. Otherwise excellent cars. Would love a mini van sized Mazda with the hybrid drive train they're putting in the CX-50. Siennas after sinfully ugly and Honda gobbles up gas like crazy, and has aggressive cylinder deactivation.

Shame, the car itself looks good.

If the car was from the early 00s, sure, it would be a problem.
But with all the cameras and stuff it has now, it really is a non issue.

those c pillars are obscene

Hmm, some Mazdas have decent visibility. CX-5 and CX-50 do. And of course, the Miata. The Mazda 3 sedan has way better visibility and a more spacious interior, but it doesn't come in manual and it looks very generic. I wish Mazda made a more 'traditionally styled' Mazda 3 hatch, I probably would have bought one. But the visibility is horrible and the interior feels like being in a coffin. Still, not a bad car and most owners seem to like them.

I love mine bros. Easiest car in the world to drive, park, and pack. There’s nothing worth seeing out the back in a world of LED aftermarket retina burners.
Only downside is the passenger-side A Frame. If you’re a bike or human coming from my 1 - 3 o’clock you might be screwed. Least I won’t die in a rollover kek.

I like mine, but never cared for the look of the hatch, so I got a sedan. I also feel like you have to get the turbo, but it doesn't come in manual if you care about that (I don't). I got the top trim version and I think it gives some entry level luxury cars a run for its money. I wish they kept multilink suspension and didn't skimp out on other little things though, like power passenger seats. I just added a JB4 tuner the other day to improve acceleration and throttle response. I feel Mazda is pretty underrated in the US. I noticed a lot more of them when visiting Mexico.
