>the only real production v12 SUV
>less than 1000 made
Does it have potential for long term appeal?
Crossovers like the cullinan and purosangue aren't real SUVs.
LM002 isn't a real production vehicle.

They need to go back to the NA v8

Know someone that had an older one, they ride like shit.
Like, imagine a Jeep Wrangler, and stiffen it up. They suck ass, MB limits them because they hold value stupid well, you can't even get one if you had the $,.if they sold their cap that month

Why? V12s are better in every way.

How so? The only thing a V12 has going for it is smoothness which can be replicated almost as well with balance shafts and such. A V8 does everything else much better. There are plenty of V10 SUV's and trucks out there which is as close as you're going to get to an "exotic" SUV.

A modern V8 is as smooth as a V12. The fact is a V12 is just two I6's, which are also smooth.

It's not the 1960's anymore, and America is not the only one making the V8.

They might as well be. The rest of the world tries to make V8's but always fails miserably.

Benz has been making V8's before you were born. The fact is The V12 is Germany's only weakness and always filled with problems. Now the V12 is unnecessary because of it's weight alone serves no increase in benefit for either fuel consumption or power delivery.

More cylinders=more displacement=more ponies. And even with the same displacement V12 will have a bit of rpm advantage over V8. Also, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with V8 sound but V8 is a pretty common layout so V10 and V12 sound more unusual. Of course, as long as the car isn't completely insulated.
