Is it true that it’s better to drive a car and put a crap ton of miles on it than to let it sit? How long is too long for letting one sit?
Also if anyone knows how to clean old wax off a car (or if it even matters) please let me know because nobody on the internet seems to know. It’s just a back and forth debate on if dish detergent actually works.

If you let it sit some stuff will fuck up, just depends how long it sits for, if it’s years you’re gonna have some issues most likely, if just months you’ll only be worrying about maybe a bowl of bad gas in the carb and some flat spotted tires that will likely work themselves true again in time, years of sitting is where serious things arise like hoses failing or seals going bad

Putting a shitload of miles on it will cause wear and things will start needing replaced eventually on top of the usual regular maintenance, oil changes, air filters, belts.
Sitting for a couple months might leave you with a dead battery, especially in the cold. 6-12 months your gas will be going stale. Longer than that, just sell the car to someone who will use it.
