near one of the most remote lakes in the western US. I thought /out/ told me the western US was remote and untouched. all you really need is a car, AllTrails™ App, and some running shoes?

>one of the most remote lakes in the western US
>3.5 miles from a paved road
>there are multiple lakes even farther up the trail
>trail head serves multiple trails
>8am at the height of tourist season in one of the most popular parks in the US
Delta lake is no where near one of the most remote lakes in the western US. Do you even believe the bullshit you spew? Beside, why do you care? You couldnt even do the hike anyways.

you can get to nearly all the most "remote" places in the western US by having a 4x4. that's called glamping not mountaineering. why do western USers LARP like they are in the Canadian wilderness or something. it's not comparible at all. you guys have roads and 4x4 trails everywhere that are frequented regularly for recreation go ahead and tell me somewhere it's logistically easier to fly in by plane than go by car sans remote alaska

Why do you just make shit up? That is not factual. The most remote places are in designated wilderness areas where no motorized vehicles are allowed. Frank Church, Bob Marshall etc... Try again.
Of course, THE most remote place in the lower 48 is in Yellowstone...again where no motorized vehicles allowed off paved roads.
Pic rel is a 20 mile hike just to get to the base...all inside 1.5 million acres of roadless (and 4x4 less) area- about 2400 square miles.
you're an idiot.

Are you really this ignorant? They routinely fly into the Frank Church wilderness...cuz, you know, there are no roads.

>biggest designated wilderness in the West- 2.4 million acres
talk to me when there's a wilderness area in the east bigger than your mother's anus. lmao

This is true. We traveled from the east coast out west and were gobsmacked at how many people (indians especially) there were at White Sands on a fkin Wednesday at 10am. Damn near every other place we visited looked abandoned, but the national parks are like ground zero for minivans and indians.

meh. maybe. in my state, state land is relatively small in comparison to federal land but what it has is very accessible- and not just state parks. The state owns all sorts of random parcels that are not developed in any way- little to no signage etc....but you are free to hike, fish, hunt on it etc...its great because a lot of people dont even know about it (them) so they see very little traffic.

he is refering to land owned by the State not federal land
