Some advice for you, OP :
— camera settings : find a way to nail focus more consistently. Higher ISO, smaller aperture, faster shutter speed, maybe a flash. Did you use Auto mode?
— composition : I get that narrow streets are a bitch, but your vision looks pretty aimless and the result is mediocre.
— back of head photography is inexcusable, it's fucking Halloween, it's the perfect excuse to make people pose!

You mentioned the TTL flash, but did you shot with manual setttings?Or check the EXIF of your photos, my guess is that the shutter was set at a very slow speed (below 1/30)

Seconded. I love to use this look when taking pictures of parties, it's a good way to evoke the vapours of alcohol and a festive atmosphere.

Taking pics of people is so easy, just ask and they will almost all way strike a pose for you. Your shots looks like they were taking at not with them. Plus you can get their socials and chat them up later if they're a qt
