Spent two hours at the local book market today. Reached the place a little while before sunset, pushed through my anxiety and tried my hand at taking some photographs.
Feel free to post any pictures you /p/ros took at any book fair or local market in your area.

anon, this is seriously one of the most toxic spaces on the internet. You have good intentions and an interesting place to shoot, but looking for validation or actual feedback here is futile. The only way a photo would ever be appreciated here is if it was a phone pic of the latest and greatest 60mp cam that youtube is shilling

I like this one anon. The lighting is great and the composition is great too, I don't agree with the other guy saying you need to crop more, the whole goal is to see the books. To me there's a slight rotation of the main left line of books that I don't like. Also for the composition I would've stepped one or two steps to the right I think, this kind of angle is overdone, taking a pic of X subject through a frame Y (here the books pile) by just putting yourself perfectly in front of said subject will limit you. By taking a step to the right you would cut a bit of the guy and make it look like he's leaning on a pile of books, making the guy look more charismatic. Or maybe you can shoot in landscape mode, so the legs are cut and we see more books, but idk if there's more books on the right and left. Also the unlit cigarette is kinda strange, idk if it's your friend posing but cigarette + this light would create a cool smoke effect. The other pics are snapshits with no composition, you can do better

You've made a great point with the composition critique. I will try to avoid cliched angles next time!
> Or maybe you can shoot in landscape mode, so the legs are cut...
This one is shot in landscape. If you don't mind, how could I go about improving this?

>today i learned that english is a major language in pakistan
All official documents are in english. Education is in english, etc. Tho it sucks for the ~40% uneducated people who are stuck in a system where they can't do anything, even open a bank account or get a minimum wage job since they can't read/speak/write in english.

There were lots(by this I mean one dozen) of paki anons on /int/ back in 19/20. Then gorment banned 4chin. Now you occasionally see a weird autist on /int/ who boasts about having 3 naukars and being a useless piece of shit.
Anyway photography scene is good in Lahore but it's mostly fashion, wedding and tourist core. What kind of photography you do regularly?

I don't spend time on other boards much just /p/ and /tv/,
>Anyway photography scene is good in Lahore but it's mostly fashion, wedding and tourist core.
I'm so done with all the mega cringe wedding reels being spammed by local wedding photographers on IG. shaadi is the only thing that people spend big on.
>What kind of photography you do regularly?
Architectural. I'm not talking about the bullshit, hyper-commercial shitboxes being shoved down our throats by developers under the guise of "aesthetic modern living" lmao. I'm an architect, I do photography as a hobby and get decent commissions every couple of months tho, but thats mostly because I am picky about the people I work with.
What about you? What kind of photography interests you?

Kek, totally agree with you. Young women consume all of that wedding slop so there is a big market for that.
>shaadi is the only thing that people spend big on.
Whole punjab only spend big on two things, weddings and food
>>Architectural. I'm not talking about the bullshit, hyper-commercial shitboxes being shoved down our throats by developers under the guise of "aesthetic modern living" lmao.
I hate them too. Ugly fucking concrete and glass luns in the air.

That's cool man. Do you work with people like Kamil Khan Mumtaz and people who are trying to revive traditional Punjabi style haveli architecture?
>What about you? What kind of photography interests you?
I use to do tourist core photography of the old meme city. Then few years ago I became depressed and lost my job so I gave up. But I am thinking about picking up the camera once again...

Not with his firm personally, but definitely some of the very few top ones in Lahore.

Always wanted to do those "viral" photo walks of the ol' meme city but haven't gotten the chance yet.
Anyway we should talk more, feel free to post your IG or whatever.

>why not add urdu to all that stuff?
System is too corrupt, inept and broken for any major reforms. This is peak 3rd world lmao. In a way its cool tho, at least a decent chunk of people can communicate in english, makes working and learning easier.
