The Japanese uncles are retards. They were fantasy booking opponents that had 0 Tjpw wrestlers in it. Also these intergender matches at these big Tjpw shows were never hard hitting matches. They still did comedy. On top of that, whether it was the Despy/Itoh vs Chris/Emi match or the Magirabi vs Chris/Emi match, neither of them were even voted in the top 20 BBM so that should already tell you they werent even hard hitting.

Whoever voted on the Shupro awards really likes Wakana. She was the only one that cracked most of the lists besides Ren (rookie list) and Mizuki (out ranked Wakana on the list of favorites)

10th in Women's Pro Wrestling Gran Prix, 9th in best women's match (kyokyo vs ober eats), 8th in best tag team/unit (ober eats), 44th in Favorite Wrestler (4 spots below Mizuki)

But yeah most of the regular audience just doesn't care about intergender matches or even yuka at this point. She got so few streamers at ittenyon, after 2 years her hardcore fans have definitely moved on

It's a fan vote based on how many magazines you buy, it's why smaller promotions like DDT can crack it if they run voting campaigns. It's not a measure of overall popularity, outside of like the top 3 it's mostly just how many stans actually has who are willing to buy multiple magazines. Just like idol CDs counting as votes in their campaigns
