You are a failure.
Your life was an unmitigated disaster. A comedy of errors that would be funny... If it wasn't you.
You USED to be a star. You USED to shine brighter than any other.
You were a prodigy. You used to be... Someone. Everything you ever wanted and needed was within your grasp and you lost it.
Now, though? You're nothing; your purpose has been ripped from you and you can't let it go. Everyday exists for you to daydream about what could have been. A pointless and painful exercise in imagination.
However, you've realized something. If you can't achieve your dreams maybe your children can. It wouldn't be you, but at least your child would embody some of your essence. Their story would start from you- you would be an undeniable puzzle in their greatness.
And that's almost enough.
The question is... What was your passion? What is your regret?

(Sorry. Starting this on vacation was not a good idea, I'm back now and have time so I'll try to rapid-fire update today to make up for it. Just need at least two votes for an option and I'll lock and write it. It'd tied but going with the Hero option since it appeals more to me.)
>Hero
Yes...
You were a HERO. You used to be a glorious hero that every innocent little child looked up to and aspired to be. You weren't the best, at least not yet, but you were getting there. Everyday you rose higher up the hero rankings after your debut. You went from an unranked nobody to the 100th ranked hero, to the 90th ranked hero, then the 85th, then the 70th, and onward onto finally being the 11th. All at the young age of 25. People were already crowning you the future #1 hero. You didn't just shine... You were blinding.
Then, IT, happened. Your fall.
The incident has been repressed in your mind. It feels like a hazy cloud has been cast over the memory and you just can't recall. It's too much for you, you've hidden it. You have to remember now. For your child's future. No, YOUR, future.
You press your knuckles hard into your temples until your head feels like it's about to burst. Remembering is painful. You can feel your brain screaming at you to not bring what caused your back to the surface.
But you have to. It's not just a memory, it's a reminder. Motivation for this new path.
What was your downfall?
