With the Tournament of Power brought to a close, the Seventh Universe has emerged triumphant once more. Led by the Saiyan warriors, the Seventh's victory was secured. And with the wish on the Super Dragon Balls used to restore the other universes that were eliminated and erased, the final hidden trial was passed, and all eight of the universes up for elimination were allowed to remain. Yet, even with this victory, peace doesn't last in the Seventh Universe for long. As old hatreds rise and long-buried grudges resurface, will you have what it takes to keep everything you've worked the last 28 years of your life to build? Or will those who seek your end ultimately triumph? That all depends on you, and your choices.

You the players will (most often) control Karn. A Saiyan man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a mid-tier Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the indisputable winner of the Tournament of Power. Wielder of the Berserker Soul, and the powerful Stand Divine Dragon Force, you're fully equipped to handle any threat that comes your way. But what will you do when the threats aren't always physical, when you can't simply punch all your problems away?

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn learned of Granolah from the Heeters and battled the strongest of them, Gas, Karn then started doing some digging of his own. Learning what he could from Nappa, who led the attack on Planet Cereal then Towa, who promised to dig up what information she could. Karn then went to Raven, went with her to Other World to find his deceased father to talk to about the mission. Only for Demongo to be leading a revolt to escape hell, recruiting and enslaving Karn's many, many, MANY victims over the years. But with Divine Dragon Force's new power, the attempt was foiled, Demongo defeated, and Other World set back right. Now, as we rejoin Karn, your father has confessed quite a surprise to you.

“Hold on, you're the reason a Cerelean survived?” you ask him, jaw dropping in shock. “What? How?”
“I'll explain shortly. For now, let's get out of Hell.” he says, eyes sweeping over everyone looking around, getting corralled by the demons wearing “HELL” shirts before lifting up into the air. “Come on, follow me.”
“Right.” you reply, confused as he takes off through the air. You follow him as Tatsu leads you back to King Yemma's, then once there leads you out a side door. It opens back up onto the path above the clouds, the two of you now alone. In the distance, towards the front of the castle you can see a line of floating things moving single-file towards the castle's front entrance. Memories suddenly resurfacing of the times you'd caught glimpses of this place before. Realizing how close you'd come to death sticking permanently on several occasions.

But what now?
>Ask about the Cereleans, what happened and why he calls himself responsible
>Ask first if he knows about Omat, the one who went missing and was never found
>Stay quiet, let your father tell you everything at his own pace

But after this realization, you don't speak up. Instead, you let your old man talk at his pace, tell you his story how he wants. And, after a few moments, he begins.

“The invasion of Planet Cereal went smoothly, at first. Like many others before it.” he starts, looking off in the distance, reminiscing. “But that changed when one of them destroyed their planet's own moon. A gamble to stop our Oozaru rampage, to give them the advantage. As, without the mighty form's power back then we would have certainly have been wiped out by them. But, my old Power Ball trick worked, and let us stay transformed.”

As he talks, you both look out towards the front of the castle, where more and more of the tiny what you now recognize as souls file inside it.

“We crushed them. They were powerful, but with our Oozaru power, their people were crushed and we won. But then, the next morning, we went about finishing off the stragglers. That's when I found her.” Tatsu's voice trails off, his expression turning conflicted. “Muezli. She was holding her boy, couldn't have been more than two or three. Hiding out in the ruins of a building, trying to protect her son. She tried to murder me, the moment she saw me. But I took her, and her boy to the other powerlevel on the planet, an old, green alien.”
“A Namekian.” you interject, to which he nods.
“Yeah. He said he'd watch over them, as I got the call we were leaving and to finish up with the survivors. So, I... Broke protocol. They could hide their powerlevels, so I fired a blast off, had them hide their powers as it detonated in the forest, and then left. Regrouped with everyone, and we all got in our pods and returned to New Salda. Wasn't until we arrived that Nappa noticed he was a man short.”

“So they're not the ones who...?” you ask, Turles shaking his head.
“No. Couldn't have been. We were all alive that morning, and I was the only one to discover Muezli and her son, and the Namek. Whatever got him, had to be someone or something else.”

Seems you've learned about this Granolah's origins, how it's thanks to your own father that there's now one last Cerelean on the loose seeking revenge. But you don't hold it against your old man. This is just a problem you'll have to take care of. One way or another. But, that does bring a question to mind.

“Speaking of, have you seen him down here?” you ask, Tatsu raising a brow. “Omat. Does King Yemma have a record of him?”

cont
>>
>>6362275
“That's... A really good question.” your father replies, bringing his one good hand up to his chin, thinking. “I'll have to ask some of his assistants to go through the records. A LOT of beings died in the last twenty-odd years, thanks in no small part to you.”

At this he gives you a smirk and nod of approval, but his mind clearly going over what happened.

“We'll figure out if Omat's been down here, what he knows if he is.” he says, then almost hesitantly adds. “If he hasn't already been through the Soul Cleansing Machine and reborn.”

Well?
>Ask what this Soul Cleansing Machine is, and if you can see it

“I see.” you reply, wondering what this machine is. But, instead, you decide to ask your old man something more important. “What about yourself?”
“Me? What do you mean?” he asks, raising a brow.
“Have you been doing well? Are you, well, content with how things are going?” you ask him. “Is there anything I can help you with before I return to the mortal realm?”

He's silent a moment, before chuckling. Reaching over, patting you on the shoulder with his one hand.

“I appreciate it, son. I'm... Doing well. I have a purpose here, a job. A lot better than a lot of beings who've passed on and are left to rot.” he says with a sigh, meeting your gaze. “Thank you. The offer means more than anything you could actually do.”

He then looks at you a long moment, then continues.

“But it's about time for you to go back.” he says, sounding tired. “A mortal can't stay here for long, in this place. The afterlife'll begin to stake its claim on you. And you still have a family to return to, a world that still needs you. Come on, son. Let's get you back home.”
“Understood.” you reply, the two of you sharing a nod of understanding before heading back inside. Where Raven is still standing by King Yemma's desk as he passes judgment on another soul.
“Karn. Tatsu.” Raven says to you both, giving your dad a small bow. “Are you ready to return? Did you find out what you needed?”

“Yeah. And maybe something that'll help resolve this situation.” you reply to her, then turn back to your old man. Holding your hand out to him. “Until next time.”
“Next time? HA!” he laughs, grabbing your forearm with his hand. His grip far stronger than you remember, your hand taking his as well. “Take care of them, Karn. And take care of yourself as well, watch your back out there. Just because we're not at war anymore, doesn't mean we're not at danger. Other beings still in the mortal world seek our people's end, through any means necessary. Stay on your guard, Karn.”
“I will.” you nod to him, then turn to Raven. “Let's go home.”

Raven gives you a nod, then holding out a hand opens up a portal. Reconnecting you to your home as you both step through the portal back to New Salda. Standing on her beach beside her as the portal closes behind you both, you taking a deep, full breath of the fresh air.

“So, what now?” she asks you, looking up to your face. Which is a good question.

“Good question. First, the king.” you reply, focusing on his ki signature, and finding him in his nearby city. “Coordinate information, figure out as much as we can.”
“And then?” she asks softly, brow raised. “When you finally confront this Granolah, how will you handle him? After everything you now know?”

And her knowing what's inside your head, what Tatsu told you not surprising you in the slightest. But you take a deep breath, squaring your shoulders.

“I'll do what I must. I won't let him hurt my people.” you tell her, Raven nodding.
“Then good luck. I wish you well.” she says, you reaching over and ruffling her hair through her hood. Raven lets out a small squeak of surprise, clearly not expecting your touch.
“And thank you. For letting me see him.” you tell her, giving the Guardian a genuine smile before lifting up into the air, taking off back towards the city. Flying over the small sea separating her island from the mainland, flying right to the heart of Vegeta City, where you sense your king. Dropping out of the air you land lightly on the steps of his fortress-like palace, the two Royal Guard at the top immediately recognizing you.

“General Karn!” one shouts, both snapping to attention.
“At ease, just here to discuss...” your voice trails off, unsure what to call this for a quiet moment before continuing. “Secret mission, can't share details yet.”
“Of course, sir.” the other says, turning and pushing the double doors open while the other makes sure you're not followed. The two then closing the door behind you, as the king isn't in his throne room. But, with your lock on his energy, you know he's in his office, lower. So you head to the stairs, descending into the ground and going straight to his office. Which you open without knocking, seeing Vegeta's desk a mess of papers and diagrams, all sorts of things you can barely comprehend. But there's one that catches your eye, a document labeled “Classified” at the top, then right below it are the words “By Lord Cooler's Order”.

“Karn, good, there you are.” King Vegeta says, not looking up as he continues looking over something on his monitor. “Turns out there are quite a few... Noticeable details on that Planet Cereal job, looking deeper.”
“Oh?” you reply, sliding into one of the seats as the door closes behind you. “Like what?”
“Well, first, I figured out who first bought it. The planet.” he says, raising his eyes to meet your gaze. “Elec.”

“What?!” you exclaim, brows shooting up in shock.
“Yeah. He then sold it to another people, the Sugarians. Another people who lost their homeworld, who now inhabit the planet.” King Vegeta continues, brows lowering. “And, it would seem that they're the ones who took that last pod as well. The signal vanished from the pod moments before their ship left planet Cereal.”

“You don't think...?” you ask, a terrifying thought coming to mind. Elec's brother is strong, if his rate of growth to this power he now possesses now matches your own, then back then he'd be more than strong enough to wipe out a single middle-class Saiyan warrior instantly.
“We have no proof, so we cannot make accusations.” King Vegeta says firmly, then continues. “However, I then started digging into records of planets the Heeters purchased. Looking for any other... Anomalous activity in their dealings. And that's when I found this.”

Turning his screen, you see another planet on the screen, one you don't immediately recognize. But, after a few seconds, it clicks.

“Wait, is that...?” you ask, eyes going wide.
“Yes. Planet Hoven, the frozen world those Remnants had built their base on.” your king says, eyes narrowed. “His name was taken off, the buyer someone called Bi-Han. A name that doesn't appear on any other listing, or even have an account with the galactic bank.”
“So, a shell? A name to say they have it instead of him, and let him walk away free and clear?” you ask, Vegeta nodding. “So we know this bastard's involved. How do we get him?”

cont
>>
>>6362387
“We don't.” King Vegeta replies, your eyes going wide.
“What? That bastard's clearly working against us, we need to-!” you shout, your king holding up a hand.
“I feel the same way. But, unless he takes overt action, we can't retaliate.” Vegeta says, shaking his head. “This is a political matter. And several factions Freeza held completely control and loyalty over are divided on his brother's rule. Cooler's made enemies. And having one of his backers so publicly eliminated could fracture the PTO entirely. It would be war.”

War. The word stops you cold. It's been years since the last war ended, your youngest born only months before the Covenant War reached its end.

“What do we do?” you ask, Vegeta crossing his arms. Meeting your gaze, expression more serious than you can ever recall.
“We figure out his goal. And beat him to it.” King Vegeta replies, tone hard. “While you fight the last Cerelean, Granolah, we'll have another team deployed. One to gather those Dragon Balls, and keep them out of Elec's hands. Lead by your wife and Bardock, who have the power to fight off even that one's strength. And your youngest daughter, Okira, who'll be able to find them faster than anyone else. If, you'd be willing to let her join this mission?”

“I think she's certainly the best-suited to the role.” you reply with a nod. “I agree. You're right, and her power could prove useful in unexpected ways.”
“Precisely. Your daughter's got quite the impressive power. And, with such a... Nebulous threat as Elec's mysterious plan on the horizon, her power could be the deciding factor.” the king tells you with a nod. “One week. When you teleport to Elec's ship, Meloka will follow as soon as you give her the signal you've landed on the planet. And once you have, they'll go hunt down those Dragon Balls. Keep that bastard Elec from getting his hands on that power, and whatever wish he's doubtlessly aiming to get.”

“But what happens after that battle?” you ask him, Vegeta raising a brow. “That's still his planet, right? Sure, he sold it, but there's no doubt a clause that'll let him return whenever needed.”
“A good point. However, that's where Okira's power will come into play. The dragon balls aren't living beings.” the king says, a devious gleam in his eye. “Once she's gathered them, her power will be what stops him from ever using them.”
“Her power doesn't work on living beings.” you say, confused.

“Exactly. But the Dragon Balls themselves aren't living beings. And “the Dragon Balls will no longer answer to Elec's call” is quite the effective stop to his plans, no?”
“You've really thought this through.” you reply, nodding approvingly.
“A king must think five steps ahead.” he replies, smirking as he sits back in his seat. And the moment he does, his door opens. You turn, and see a much smaller Vegeta standing there. “Speaking of thinking ahead. Are you finished with your studies, my son?”

“Yes, father. I'm ready to train!” Prince Vegeta V replies, clenching his small fists. “W-Will General Karn be joining us today?”
“That's a good question.” the king says, turning to you. Clearly waiting on your answer, giving no indications on what he's thinking.

“Heh. Of course.” you reply, standing up and turning towards the boy. “You ready?”
“Yes sir!” the young prince replies, eyes wide with wonder.
“Good. Then follow me. Today, you're training in my home.” you tell him, the boy almost bouncing off the ground as he follows you from the king's office. You both head outside then take to the air, flying across the land over the forest to your home. “I'll start you off today the same way I started your father all those years ago. Tell me, how high of gravity have you trained in so far?”

“Right now? I'm up to five times our planet's gravity.” he answers as you fly over the clearing in the forest, crater visible through the trees before you'd even reached it. Passing over it, more than halfway back to your own ship.
“Five times? Not bad. We'll start out with the same workout I started your father with.” you say, and you can feel his excitement radiating off him as your city comes into sight. “1000 pushups, on each arm. Then, after than 1000 situps. Any questions?”
“Th-That's it?” he asks as you drop out of the air, catching yourself with your flight inches off the ground, then touch down whisper-soft right outside your ramp. The prince doesn't decelerate nearly as smoothly, kicking up a huge wave of sand as he lands beside you. “Just that?”

“That's where we'll start.” you tell him, leading him inside and to your gravity chamber. Which is empty, the door closing behind you both as you go to the controls. Cranking it down from where you'd last set it at, turning it to twenty times New Salda's gravity. The room turns red as the gravity shifts, and you see the prince try and brace himself. But he's clearly not ready, the weight of the chamber slowly pulling him down to the ground.
“Guh! W-What kind of-? Gravity! Did you set-! This to?” he asks between panting breaths, clearly struggling to stay upright.
“Just a few times more than you've been training at.” you reply to him, dropping down into the pushup position, only on your right arm and toes. “Don't tell me this little bit's too much for you, your highness. I can turn it down, if you can't-”

“DON'T-!” he shouts through clenched teeth, getting down into position as well. “I won't! Back down!”
“That's the spirit.” you reply with a grin, going down and up once, then again. “One. Two.”

Over the next half-hour, you push the young prince to his limits. Watching him closely as he struggles. But, despite how hard he's struggling, he doesn't quit. You see his father in the lines of his face, the set of his jaw as he fights. And, without stopping, he manages to complete the first part of your training. Finishing the final situp he collapses, gasping for air.

“Baaaah! Haaaah! Faaaaah!” he gasps, chest heaving as he struggles to catch his breath. While he does this you stand up, rolling your neck and shoulders, loosening up. Bouncing on your toes, getting ready for what comes next.
“Come on, prince. No time for laying around, we're just getting started.”
“St-Started?” he gasps, eyes opening as he turns his head towards you. “Wh-What do? You mean? Started?”

“That's only step one.” you say, walking over to him, lowering yourself and holding a hand down to him. “Now that the warmup's over, time for the real training to begin.”
“The real. Training.” he says, taking a deep breath then reaching up, taking your hand in his. Letting you pull him to his feet, swaying a moment before catching himself. “Okay. What's next?”

And to that you smirk, leaping back from him and take your fighting stance. To which his eyes go wide with understanding.

“What? No way.” he says, still struggling to catch his breath. “I'm exhausted, I can't fight like this.”
“So you'd just let your enemies win? Let your people down without a fight?” you ask, the prince freezing at your words as you stand back up to your full height. “Your enemies won't wait for you to be rested and at one hundred percent before coming to take you down. They'll find you at your weakest, most vulnerable, and THEN they'll strike. If you're going to one day lead our people, you're going to have to be ready at all times. To face all comers, to tackle any and all challenges that appear. And to protect our race and way of life, from all who would seek to take it all away.”

You can see it in his eyes as the understanding, the realization dawns. He's a smart kid, and understands the implications of your words. He nods once, you returning the gesture as you retake your fighting stance. The prince taking his own as well, reminding you so much of his father all those years ago.

Well? How do you do this?
>Go on the offensive, see how well he can defend himself tired

Apparently they're finally adapting the Moro saga, so get hype for that. Also there's a new game called "Age 1000" in production, which I assume is either a remake of DBO or another Xenoverse title.

As you look to the young prince, reminding you so much of his father, you remember back to your first ever fight with the now-King Vegeta. And one of his techniques comes to mind, one you decide to try now. Drawing both hands back, gathering your ki into both hands.

“Let's see you handle THIS!” you shout, throwing one hand forward. Firing a small blast of energy, not strong enough to damage the gravity chamber, but enough to make his eyes widen directly at him.
“Gah?!” he shouts, dropping down to the ground. Where you draw that hand back, gathering another spark of energy as you thrust your other hand down at him. Firing your second blast, seeing the panic in his eyes. But he doesn't stop moving, rolling out of the way of your second attack as well. Letting that orb slam into the floor and dissipate without a metal-shearing explosion as you follow his movements, leading him with the third shot. Catching him by surprise, your blast slamming into him. Detonating in a small blast, knocking him up into the air. Where his body meets your next blast, sending him flying back and slamming into the far wall of the gravity chamber. Bouncing off it and falling to the ground, where he lay stunned.

“Your enemies won't give you time to recover, they'd finish you right now!” you call out to him, snapping him out of it as you fire a fifth blast. Prince Vegeta immediately leaps up,springing up off the ground as your attack narrowly misses. His eyes lock onto your own, blazing green as his power spikes. And suddenly he transforms, ascending into a Super Saiyan. However, your only response is to put proportionally more power into your next shot, sending it right at him. The young prince dodges, moving far easier in the gravity now that he's transformed. And starts trying to close in on you. But you don't let him, for every foot of ground he gains between your attacks, you step back just as far. Circling away from him in the gravity chamber, forcing him to try and keep chasing you through your storm of energy you send his way. “Come on, my prince, you need to do better than this!”

“Khhh! HRRAAAA!!” he roars, golden aura blazing as he powers up even further. Pushing himself as hard as he can, dodging and weaving through your blasts as well as swatting aside those he can't avoid. But as he keeps pressing forward and you retreat, you can feel his frustration mounting. Veins bulging on his forehead, snarl growing more and more pronounced. “KRRRAAAAA!”
“Is that all you've got?” you say, smirking as you keep one step ahead of him. The young prince's fury unable to keep pace with his exhaustion as he begins to falter. Losing a step, then two. Moving just too slow to dodge one blast, then another and another. Your attacks pushing him back now, forcing him back away from you. “Come on, Prince Vegeta. Is this the best you can do?”

“GYAAAAH!” he cries out as he tries to deflect another blast, but he mistimes his swing. The blast slamming straight into his face, the blast sending him flying back, crashing into the wall. Bouncing off it, he lands down on his hands and knees as you stop your attack. Holding the energy in both hands, waiting to see if he's finished or not as his arms and legs tremble. “N-No-! I-! I'm not-!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w50zQ67D6wY

You watch as he tries to stand, to rise, pushing himself up on exhausted arms. Managing to get his feet under him, only to collapse back down to a knee. You sigh, powering down as you let the energy in your hands fade away. But as you take a step closer, suddenly, you feel it.

“Hmm?” you exhale, feeling something shift. You feel it, feel the young prince's power begin to change. His body, beaten and battered to its limits, his power should be going down. But, it's not. Instead, you can feel his power begins to rise. His aura starts blazing to life up around him, his body rising back up to his feet, fists clenched out by his sides as his head hangs down. Then, as he raises his head, veins still bulging in his forehead and along his arms, you feel his power continue to surge. Electricity beginning to crackle around his aura as his strength continues to rise.
“I'm-! I'm not! DOOOOOONE!” he roars, his energy surging. You feel his power double as he does it! And you smile as he ascends beyond a Super Saiyan, transcending his previous limits.

“Well well, this is quite the surprise.” you say, grin widening. Only for the prince to suddenly BLUR towards you, rocketing at more than twice the speed he was moving before you'd downed him. Catching you by surprise, closing the distance before you've got your guard up. His fist slams into your chin, knocking your head back and staggering you back a step. But you catch yourself there, the boy unable to move you even with his newfound power when you put your back into it. “Looks like you're not done after all.”

“I won't quit!” he snarls, following up his punch to your chin with a turning kick, but you bring your forearm up. Blocking the strike, then shoving him back. The boy flips backwards, landing back in his father's stance as he stares you down. Eyes hard, determined as his aura blazes, lightning crackling around him. “I won't ever give up!”

But what now? What do you do?

“That's it! That's the spirit!” you shout, retaking your stance then gesturing for him to come at you with your upraised hand. And he doesn't hesitate, kicking off the ground and closing the distance as fast as he can go. But you're ready this time, no longer caught off-guard by his sudden speed increase. Catching his first flying, heavy right with your left hand. Stopping his charge cold, but he doesn't keep trying to win with power. Instead he spins clockwise, inside your guard and closing in with a left turning kick aimed at your head. Bringing your right up, you block his kick with your forearm as well. Prince Vegeta V continuing to attack you with the movements of the Su Ma. Flipping, twisting and spinning around you, keeping up the attack. Not relenting for a second, continuing his assault against you. “Give me everything you've got!”

“HRRRAAAAAA!!” he roars with fury, yet even with the ascended form's rage coursing through him, he retains control. Launching a remarkable Su Ma assault, one that keeps you on your toes. But as he attacks, you begin to recognize his patterns. And realize that perhaps he isn't in control like you thought. He's not making adjustments, not changing his attacks when they don't work. Still going through his attacks in the same patterns, the same rhythms he no doubt trained. And that's when you realize it, he's not in control. The boy's completely lost to his anger, to the wrath of his transformation. But he's still following his training, attacking in the ways his father had taught him. The Su Ma,s basic forms and combinations so ingrained in the young man already that, even completely lost to fury, he doesn't swing mindlessly.

“Hmph. Well done, Vegeta. Taught him well.” you murmur as you stay on the defensive, blocking the prince's attacks. But as you do, as he rages against you, you begin attacking his openings. A stiff jab where he'll be as he spins, and elbow there, a kick there. Knowing where he'll be, his attacks predictable as you begin to counterattack. Carefully controlling your own power, only hitting him with around his own strength, each blow sending the young prince flying. But with each hit he rebounds, launching himself right back at you. Over and over, refusing to go down. Refusing to quit as he keeps up his assault for well over five minutes before even this power begins to falter. His newfound strength, unable to continue supporting his exhausted body pushed beyond its limits falters. And Prince Vegeta V drops to the ground, falling to his hands and knees. The golden glow fading from his body as he reverts back to his base form in exhaustion.

With a sigh you power down as well, going over to the gravity controls and turning it off. Letting the enhanced gravity fade away, then go back to the downed boy. Walking over to him and kneeling by him, placing your hand on his back.

“You did well, my prince. Rest, catch your breath.” you order, patting his back. And with a sigh he collapses, laying on the ground and focusing on his breathing. You stay with him as his ragged breathing slows, taking deeper, more controlled breaths as he recovers. Rolling over onto his back, sighing out as he looks up at you.
“Gen-Karn. I, was that...?” he asks, eyes wide with wonder.
“Yeah, you did it.” you tell him with a mentor-ly grin, offering him your hand. “You ascended. Well done, my prince.”

He returns your grin with a huge, proud smile as you help him up to his feet, staggering a step before regaining his balance.

“I ascended.” he says, tone awed as he looks down at his hands. Clenching them into fists before raising his head, meeting your gaze. “Thanks to you.”
“No, you did all the hard work kiddo. I just pushed you over the edge.” you reply, reaching down and ruffling his hair. “If you weren't ready to transform further, what I did wouldn't have made a difference. Now, you know what comes next, don't you?”
“Yes, I have to train even harder now, to control that power.” he says, eyes filled with determination before giving you a proper Saiyan salute then bowing to you. “Thank you, General Karn.”

“Of course, my prince. My pleasure.” you reply, returning the gesture. And as you rise he then freezes, then his grin widens.
“I'm gonna go tell mother, she'll be so proud!” he says excitedly, rushing from the gravity chamber. Clearly excited to talk about his newest achievement, sprinting out of your home. Leaving you standing in the gravity chamber alone, with one question:

With everything quiet, you decide to reach out to your firstborn son, see how he's doing. So, with a thought you telepathically reach out to Chilli.

“Hey son, everything okay on your end?” you think out to him, feeling his mind connect to your own.
“Yes, everything's fine on my end. Why? What's going on?” your son replies, and you can almost see his brows furrow in confusion. “You need backup?”
“Not today, son. Just checking in, making sure everything's okay.” you tell him. Then, decide to fill him in on what's been happening on your end. Tell him about your meeting with Tatsu in the afterlife, on discovering what happened on Planet Cereal, the Heeters, and the missing Omat. And once you finish the story, your son is quiet for several moments.

“I see. Well, on my end, we've had an... Interesting development. Had an outsider land on my world, talking about a coming darkness, and the only option to stop it is some ancient hero called Tapion trapped inside an enchanted music box. I'm studying it now, trying to figure out a way to open it.” he tells you, and you get a flash of what he sees. And, sure enough, you see on his workbench is what appears to be a simple wooden box with a crank handle on one side.

“Want me to get Towa, she probably already knows how to open it?” you ask him, your son declining.
“No, I'll open this myself. Besides, I could use the practice.” he answers you, leaving you curious what he means by practice. “But if I need your help, I'll let you know.”
“Sounds good. One week from today, I'll be dealing with that Granolah.”

“Wait, one week? But that's Meloka Wolbach's birthday.” your son says, you freezing in place. “You're going to make it to her birthday, aren't you?”
“Yeah, I'll make it. Either before I go take care of business, or after I handle that situation. Wouldn't miss her day.” you tell him seriously. “How old will she be now?”
“She'll be five.” he says, you leaning against the gravity chamber's controls with a sigh. Five years old. Your granddaughter will be five whole years old in only a week.
“Five, huh? They grow up fast, huh?” you ask, feeling a flood of emotions through the link.

“Y-Yeah.” he replies after a few moments. “That they do.”

The call ends shortly after this, you both saying your goodbyes and leaving you alone in that gravity chamber once more. One week. One week to prepare for your fight with Granolah, to get your present for your granddaughter if she's not old enough for the sword you'd found in the M'lurnian ruins last year. There's plenty to do, which leaves one question:

What now?

Considering what to do next, you decide to share the news of what's happening with your allies. With the Heeters no doubt working an angle, trying to get the Dragon Balls and the possibly-related incident going on with your son, there are too many things happening for it all to be coincidence. For a moment, you think that Chronoa has to be behind this setup. But then you realize that, not only is she now under Mechikabura's watchful eye, but she's now “SUPPOSEDLY” on your side against that other entity beyond reality, The End. However, all of this can't just be coincidence. And so, you decide to reach out to all of your allies, visit with everyone and let them know what's going on.

“But where should I start?” you mutter, closing your eyes and expanding your ki sense. And, right in town are the twins, Leyas and Sarada over at the arena. So, with your first targets acquired you raise your right to your forehead, focusing on Sarada's energy and teleport yourself to them. Leaving your gravity chamber behind, appearing beside her in the arena stands. Where two younger Saiyans are going at it, both of them maybe around Okira's age. “Hey Sarada, Leyas, we need to talk.”
“Karn?” Leyas asks, turning towards you. His eyes light up as he sees you, grinning. “Been awhile, what's going on?”

“Quite a lot, right now.” you reply, filling the two of them in while the younger Saiyans battle. You watch your friends' expressions change as you explain everything going on, Leyas immediately mirroring your own thoughts once you've said it all.
“Too much to be coincidence. Someone's behind all this.” he says confidently, raising a hand and clenching his fist. “What do you need us to do?”
“Yeah, what's the plan, General?” Sarada adds, her tone teasing but no less sincere. You know they'd both lay their lives down for you, for your people. Just as you would for them. “Which ass you want us to kick?”

“None, yet. But to stay on your guard, keep your eyes open. I'm sure there's even more going on, if now right now then soon. And we may need all hands for what's to come.” you say, both of the twins nodding seriously to you.
“Whatever it is, we'll crush 'em.” Leyas says confidently. And, to your surprise, suddenly his eyes shift. Transforming into the eyes of his Primal Demon form, powerlevel spiking yet his body doesn't change. Tapping into his more primal might, without taking on the full transformation. “You're not the only one who's been training.”
“That's right. We've been working on our own powers, while you were playing in that little tournament.” Sarada teases, her own power spiking similarly. “Whenever you need us, we'll be there.”

“I know you guys will. That's why I wanted to give you a heads up, so all this didn't catch you off-guard.” you tell them with a grin. “Don't want you making excuses if someone like Gas kicks your ass.”
“Why you-?!” Leyas starts, letting out a strangled noise. Only to see your face and laugh, swinging around his sister and slugging you on the shoulder. “Bastard. Just for that, when this is all over, I'm gonna kick your ass!”
“Looking forward to seeing you try.” you reply, raising your right hand to your forehead as you expand your ki sense once more. Next, you find Goar's energy not too far away, in the forest behind the arena. And he's not alone, you sensing two other, weaker powers with him. One close to his own strength, the other no doubt his new charge. And so you teleport to that trio as well, appearing by Goar, Sheeva, and Cesha. Where Goar and Sheeva are sparring, the four-armed woman pressing the attack against your largest student. And you appeared right between them.

“Hrrrraaaaa!” Sheeva shouts, launching two separate punches simultaneously. Her eyes widen as she sees you, you raising your left knee to stop the right body hook, catching her left aimed at your jaw with your left hand. “Wh-General Karn?!”
“Nice attack.” you reply, the four-armed fighter backing off immediately. “Goar, we need to talk.”
“Of course, what's going on?” he asks, immediately looking serious. And you explain to him what you'd explained to Leyas and Sarada, letting the four-armed woman Sheeva and Goar's ward both hear everything you tell him. And when you're finished, he's standing there with his arms crossed, expression concerned. “And you don't think this is coincidence?”

“Never is. There's always something more going on.” you say, shaking your head. He nods at this, Sheeva looking contemplative as well. “Don't know what else is coming, but I'd rather all my friends be ready.”
“Understood.” Goar says, and to your surprise salutes you. “I'll be ready, Karn. When you need me, give me a call.”

“Thanks, Goar. Means a lot.” you say, returning the salute before expanding your ki sense once more. Searching for Turles, and you find him. For some reason he's in Vegeta City, you teleporting from the forest across the planet over to him. And as you appear, he turns towards you. Panic in his eyes.
“Karn! She's gone!” he shouts, terror in his voice. “Ticho's gone!”

“Ticho's missing?” you ask, eyes widening in shock. And immediately you close your eyes, reaching out telepathically to New Salda itself. Merging your mind and soul with your world, feeling the avatar's presence in your mind.
MY CHAMPION.” New Salda's 'voice' booms in your mind. “I can feel your urgency.”
“There's a missing child. I'm going to find her.” you reply, and as your power and senses are enhanced by taking on your Champion form, you immediately focus entirely on your ki sense. And you can sense EVERYONE. Every last living being on your world, from the mightiest warriors to the smallest blade of grass. From the Rak'kari and Hydae under the sea to the birds in the trees, you can feel every last living being. But as you search through them all, feeling everyone's presence in your mind. But one's missing. “What?”

“What do you mean, what?” Turles asks, you opening your eyes and meeting his gaze.
“She's not on the planet.” you tell him, seeing Turles' eyes widen in shock. “I can feel EVERY ki signature on the planet, and she's not one of them. Did she tell you she was leaving?”
“No. I was training, then when I left the chamber, she was gone!” he shouts, you feeling the fear and worry in his voice. “And I can't reach her telepathically either! My little Ticho, she... She...”

You reach over, placing your hand on his shoulder. Meeting his gaze, expression resolute.

“We'll find her.” you tell him, nodding to your friend. “No matter what it takes, we'll find her, Turles.”
“How? If she's off-world, who knows where she ended up?” he exclaims, clearly terrified. “If that bitch snuck onto this world and kidnapped my daughter, I-! I'll-!”
“We'll find her.” you tell him, expanding your senses even further beyond the planet. Widening out your ki sense as far as you can detect, going further and further beyond your planet until, suddenly, you find it! You find her, but, she's not alone. Sure enough, there are a half-dozen powerlevels with her. All seven of them rapidly leaving your home behind. “Got her! Let's go!”

>>6362875
Immediately, Turles powers up. Ascending straight into his Primal form as you ascend into your Berserker God state, raising your right hand to your forehead. As you do, he lays his hand on your arm, taking a deep breath. You inhale as well, then with a thought teleport. Leaving your world behind, appearing in space between the seven beings and wherever they're traveling to. Appearing in the void of space, seeing a half-dozen Tamaranean warriors all freeze, stopping dead in their tracks as they see the two of you appear.

“DAD!” Ticho clearly shouts, her voice not traveling through the void but her shouted exclamation's clear. She's in rough shape, clearly having been beaten and kidnapped against her will by the other Tamaranean warriors present. And one of them makes a terrible mistake for himself, striking her with a backhanded swing. And at this Turles' fury EXPLODES, aura blazing as he surges forward. Closing the distance in a blink, slamming his fist THROUGH the chest of the Tamaranean that struck his daughter! With a visible growl he grabs him with his other hand as well, tearing him in two in a spray of blood. Turles' face a mask of blood and fury as he turns his glare on the last five would-be kidnappers.

You don't know what their plan was, but two things are clear. Not one of them is going to survive this, and they're doing this under orders. And you know just who in Tamaran's leadership no doubt holds a grudge against Turles, and would try and kidnap his daughter. Their daughter.

And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoy the episode? Ready to deal with this kidnapping attempt? Do you think they're doing this under the Queen of Tamaran Komand'r's orders, or is someone else behind what's currently happening to Turles and Ticho? And is this relevant to what else is happening, or is this a particularly well-timed interruption someone's timed to get you out of the way? All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues!
>>
>>6362878
I'd ALMOST feel sorry for them if they didn't rough her up and give Ticho the Mister Ruckus backhand in front of the fucking father. At least then it could've been an open casket funeral. Unfortunately for them, nobody can hear you beg for mercy in the vacuum of space.
>>
>>6362877
>he grabs him with his other hand as well, tearing him in two in a spray of blood.
Like a goddamn wishbone kek.

>>6362878
I don't think Blackfire is dumb enough to think this would work. Might be a gayop. I will blame Fu. Fuck Fu.
>>
>>6362882
Yeah, this was clearly not a well-thought-out operation. Not if the goal was to kidnap Ticho successfully.
>>6362884
The wrath of a furious father's not one to get in the way of.
She'd have to be high off her gourd on something to think STEALING Ticho would be a good idea. No, she's usually far more conniving. Perhaps someone wants to infuriate Turles into taking Komand'r out for them? Clearing their way to claim the throne.
>>
>>6362893
>Perhaps someone wants to infuriate Turles into taking Komand'r out for them? Clearing their way to claim the throne.
That's what I'm thinking. These dudes are patsies for a falseflag operation who think way too highly of themselves to act this belligerently. And between us and the Butcher of Bachelorettes there is no way she's lost THIS much of her mind.
>>
>>6362877
So...is Blackfire being framed for this? She's stupid, arrogant, spiteful, but she isnt suicidal. And this isnt her style when she'd rather do it herself. Regardless, they hurt our buddies kid, they will be handed over to our Best Torture Daughter for...interrogating.
>>
>>6362900
Would take either courage or foolishness to try and steal a child from New Salda. Especially with the example King Vegeta made of those slavers.
>>6362940
She does prefer to be in the thick of things, when you knew her at least.

QM UPDATE/QUESTIONS

Feels like it's been awhile since I've done one of these, want to check in with you guys and get your opinions on things, see how we're doing. Gonna start general and get more specific. Everyone enjoying the different direction of this arc so far? We're getting a different tone and feel of this one compared to the previous couple arcs, whereas before we'd have more of both IC and OOC knowledge of things going on, know who our enemies are/were and what we're generally up against. Whereas this arc you're having to discover more information. And, I'll say this, small hint. The big bad of this arc could completely get away with it, if you don't discover their plan. There's a lot riding on this arc, more than just your own world and people. So, I hope everyone is paying attention when getting IC knowledge.

And onto more fun questions, who are you most excited to see more of this arc? Either through direct interaction or through intermissions/epilogues? SCQ has quite the expansive cast, and as we move into the new year, finally out of AGE 759, we'll have more fun stories on the horizon. Arcs which may or may not be related to your own, across realms, worlds, universes and possibly timelines. colliding.
Which character(s) have you had enough of, who you don't really want to see any more of anytime soon if possible? Some characters have gotten a lot more shine than others in the last three to four arcs, being more directly and tangentially related to the plot.
If you get the opportunity to focus on your own training, what areas are you hoping to focus on more? Further mastery of your Supreme Instinct? Better attacks or improving your fighting styles, or perhaps spending more involved time training your children?
And speaking of others' training, whose training are you hoping to get to see the results of? Besides Turles, of course, as you're about to see a glimpse of his newfound power against these poor, dumb Tamaranean patsies.
And lastly, which franchises are you hoping to see either make their debut or return to SCQ? Incorporated a lot of different works across all sorts of mediums over the years, which have been your favorite and least favorite among them? Any you wish to return to or wanted to get more time in the spotlight? Or perhaps some you never want to see again? Always open to you guys' ideas and input, without you all SCQ wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as it did.
>>
>>6363267
>The big bad of this arc could completely get away with it, if you don't discover their plan
It was goddamn Colonel Mustard I fawken knew it.

>Which character(s) have you had enough of,
Moro. You should just write him outta the story. No biggie. Don't worry about it. kek

>And lastly, which franchises are you hoping to see either make their debut or return to SCQ?
Berserk. I have a pathological need to hit femboys with a hunk of iron. Real talk I am a little surprised there hasn't been as much Star Wars stuff. Since usually when people involve Star Wars in a fic it winds up being a big deal in some way or another. I will say it's very refreshing for the Sith artifacts we have encountered to not *just* be Revan stuff. You think full potential Palpatine could have handled Buu? I think if it weren't for Buu being literal reality-defying magic Palps might've been able to take him.
>>
With all this talk of Cooler having trouble keeping political factions loyal, and this probable false flag attempt, it feels like someone is trying to start a PTO civil war.
>>
>>6363285
HA!
>Moro
Well, now that he's a Destroyer, he's not YOUR problem anymore as long as you stay out of the 10th Universe. If he tries to start trouble in yours, Zen-Oh will slap his shit.
>Berserk
I did enjoy it early on, having him be another warrior out of time Aku catapulted through history. But with his passing I let Guts move on and rest as well. RIP to another goat, we lost too many of the greats in the last few years.
>spoiler
Of course. Can't just have everything go back to one character, that's lazy writing. And the reason it's not a bigger deal, is, well, it was a long time ago, in a galaxy that was mostly wiped out by Buu. No. He could have POTENTIALLY sealed away Buu, but never outright defeated him. Now a full potential Chosen One, maybe.
>>6363300
Absolutely, it does feel as if someone's trying to topple Cooler's rule, doesn't it?
>>
>>6363301
>RIP to another goat,
For real though. Man was a real one. Need more like him.
>>
>>6363267
It feels like a drama mystery this time around. These days our heads are held high, so a lot of people move quietly and quickly beneath our immediate notice. One off irregularities here and there spread out far enough to make us think its a coincidence and never get all their questions resolved. This could be the big moment to finally uncover what's been going on under the hood.
>who are you most excited to see more of this arc? Either through direct interaction or through intermissions/epilogues?
Been a minute since we've seen Boros or the humans on Dragonball Earth. Are they still being cagey with the tech?
>Which character(s) have you had enough of, who you don't really want to see any more of anytime soon if possible?
You offscreen murdered the one guy I didn't really want to see come back after he humiliated himself in the first 6v7 expo. So I mean this in an "I'm ok with them sitting on the bench this time" way and not an "I don't like this character" way when I say that I could go with less Chaya. I feel like narratively, she's settled in. No longer obsessive and immature as she once was, and while she'll always have that desire to soak up the spotlight, she can also be a team player that can hang out with the Big Boys. She started her change visiting Yardrat, made the big shift when she defeated Baby, and cemented those changes when facing off against Jiren. She has grown up a lot while staying true to herself and I am SO GLAD the bed didn't end up getting shat after the bold, yet controversial journey. I really care for Chaya a lot, which is why I want to say I wanna see more of the other, younger children taking a step up in relevance. In their due time, I hope.
If you get the opportunity to focus on your own training, what areas are you hoping to focus on more?
I want that lightning energy body. too cool.
>And lastly, which franchises are you hoping to see either make their debut or return to SCQ?
I'm mostly wondering where the other characters and setpieces of the franchises introduced so far are at. Like, I get Deathclaws existing in a "plucked out of canon" state, but I can't help but wonder where people like Gon and Ratchet & Clank went.
>>
>>6363267
>Which character(s) have you had enough of, who you don't really want to see any more of anytime soon if possible?
I cant think of anyone I dont want to see, mostly who I want to see more of, but there's so many options I cant decide. Mostly just Batman and the chance to have him help us investigate this shit, and maybe find out why he fucked up so hard. Maybe train him or send him to Elder Pybara. Bringing Moro's bitch ass back when we fucking won fair and square though was bullshit.
>If you get the opportunity to focus on your own training, what areas are you hoping to focus on more?
Probably a combination of Supreme Instinct training, and then basic stamina and power training. Otherwise training with out kids. Maybe Give Gaor advice on dating since I didnt realize he was as young as he is.
I'm really curious to hear our old squad buddies and how they've been getting on. Check on our demon kids since we dont really get a chance to seem them all at once.
>And lastly, which franchises are you hoping to see either make their debut or return to SCQ?
I miss the old Covenant War races we hung out with, aside from Asia Clan Clan visiting with her daughter, we dont see the goofy cats all that often. Obviously I also want more of the DC Earth and all the spirals we caused while being there, maybe muck about with Flash since we never really got to talk, or even better, Plastic Man, since he is a real bro and we didnt get much chance to talk to him.
>>6363285
Guts would be a welcome addition to New Salda, help him rescue Casca and get his grove back, then teach him how to shoot lasers so he never has to deal with this bullshit again.

All the legends of the pen have been leaving us the last decade.
>>6363398
True, there's been a lot going on behind the scenes.
>Boros
True, wonder if he's been getting along better or worse with Cooler than Freeza?
>DB Earth
We'll see.
>Chaya
She's reached the end stages of her overall arc, she survived with her mind and soul intact. In your words, she has grown up. The other children are gonna get their own times to shine, their own arcs. Some of whom have already started.
>Lightning Body
You already have that technique, it's the second technique on your character sheet.
>Gon
Well, his entire planet was blown up, so...
>Ratchet and Clank
Considering Chairman Drek is still in charge of the Blarg, either it's too early for him, or he was on another planet when the populace was eradicated.
>>6363675
>Moro
There may or may not be a reason Super Shenron chose to bring him back as well. But for at least this arc and probably the next, depending on what happens, he won't be your problem to solve.
>Goar
He's big and strong, and because of that and his mustache people think he's a lot older than he is.
>all at once
That's because they're off doing their own things. Maza's the closest, as he spends his time running your city. Learning every aspect of rule, of maintaining a city and talking with King Vegeta about what running an empire involves.
>Clan-Clan
Hoo boy, are you in for fun this arc with their plan. Do you remember their agreement with King Vegeta?
>Guts
He's earned his rest, found his peace.
>>
>>6363755
>All the legends of the pen have been leaving us the last decade.
just one of many ways time gives us the vicious reminder that the world of today is only temporary.
>True, wonder if he's been getting along better or worse with Cooler than Freeza?
Cooler strikes me as a stickler for detail. Probably has less tolerance for Boros's business and it might be why the latter has been making himself scarce when near PTO territory.
>She's reached the end stages of her overall arc, she survived with her mind and soul intact.
thank goodness for that. A proper saiyan warrior needs to be made of pure grit and determination on the inside and the outside.
>You already have that technique, it's the second technique on your character sheet.
Oh, yeah. Now I remember. Kinda feel dumb now.
>Well, his entire planet was blown up, so...
Lemme guess, "meteor"? Though I will say King Cold would be 110% justified, Chimera Ants are no joke.
>either it's too early for him, or he was on another planet when the populace was eradicated.
I didn't think about it, but it is possible he missed his call to adventure or that someone else picked up that phone. Oh well.
>>
>>6363776
True. Nothing lasts forever. Why we enjoy the stories we have while they last.
Perhaps. Or perhaps Cooler's weaponized Boros against someone else...?
Yes. She's reached her current pinnacle, and perhaps even a fight with her future self's in the cards now? Once she masters this power anyways.
>spoiler
No, that was after you all crashed their planet after the fat one tried murdering your children, Arctus, and causing other problems. The rest of the family defended him out of familial loyalty, and that was all I wrote. Episode 186, if memory serves. Somewhere in the 180s, but I think it's 6.
If he's still on his homeworld. Who knows where the last Lombax ended up? He might have even been added to someone's collection...
>>
>>6363779

now my noggin's jogging again. A retread is probably in order for me. Maybe next week...

Not boss fights specifically, but I have definitely choreographed fight scenes to certain songs in my head before.
Pretty much anything with flamenco guitar in it gets me in the mood for boxing or fencing, so that probably has something to do with it.
>>
>>6364113
The amount of songs I imagined characters doing some actiony sequence in has got to be in the thousands by now.
>>
>>6364114
Unironically one of the hardest anime fights of all time. That rematch of Ippo vs Sendo 2 was the peak of the series in my opinion, and when the soundtrack hits at the mix up? Perfection. Modern overly-flashy fights don't capture the grit of a heartfelt brawl like this. And Sendo's roar right before his big counter? That's what I imagine Karn sounds and looks like to everyone who goes up against him and backs him into a corner. Top 5 anime fights of all time, hands down.
>>6364140
True. And TSFH are masters of the genre, unironically fall asleep to the Solaris album nowadays as background noise. Used to use it to imagine quest scenarios until I fell asleep, now I've pavlov'd myself into the album putting me out.

Also just uploaded the story to go with Haathe's art, think you guys're gonna love this one! Karn's adopted daughters are bonding.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 255 Intermission-

AGE 759, DREADZONE STATION

“Come in.” you say to the announcement, the door to your office opening as three beings step in. The one to your right is clearly a Kai, with orange-ish skin, blue and burgundy robes with a white sash and that unmistakable smugness. The one in the middle's a yellow rat-like creature, standing as if he's someone important. But from his dress, wearing clothes almost identical to the Destroyer Beerus' clothes except in shades of green. And the one to the Destroyer's right is an imposingly tall attendant. Like Beerus' Whis, except taller, with features that would sell tickets to the ladies like hotcakes and a comically large single bang that comes down almost to his chin.

“Welcome, visitors from the Fourth Universe.” you say, steepling your hands before you, elbows resting on your desk. “I am Gleeman Vox, Founder and CEO of Vox Industries. What brings you here before me today?”
“So, you're the one who's got all the footage from Grand Zen-Oh's tournament, huh?” the Destroyer says without preamble, cutting right to the chase. “Alright, hand it over.”
“Ah, of course. You wish to see how the tournament ended, and how the Seventh triumphed?” you ask, a predatory gleam in your eye as you see the rat's eye twitch at your subtle dig in calling him and his universe losers. “Of course, I've made hard copies for sale. Do you prefer holovision, or three dimensional projection? Just the fight, or the extended cut with narration and breakdowns from our own Goddess of Strategy Tanya? Her insights are quite-”

But you're cut off as the tiny rat moves faster than you can track, standing on your desk and grabbing you by the front of your expensive suit, glaring at you.

“Enough of your games, fishman. Hand them over. Now.” the tiny Destroyer says, clearly irritated. “I'm not asking again. Hand them over, or I'll kill you and everyone else until I find someone who will.”
“My lord, he's actually a Slademan, a species of reptillians.” the attendant adds, uselessly. Not doing anything to stop the Destroyer's antics, or even warn him of the consequences. Which is just bad subordinate behavior.
“Chaya, would you mind?” you think to her, sending her a mental image of the situation before you. And immediately you feel her energy latch onto your own, using you as a signal to teleport to. Less than a second later, she's here, appearing at your right hand already in her now second strongest form. Reaching out and grabbing the Destroyer's wrist, glaring at him.
“Let Vox go. Now.” she snarls, eyes blazing with fury and barely-restrained power as she squeezes down on his wrist. Applying pressure just right, using one of her bottomless bag of tricks to lighten the pressure of his grip on you.
>>
>>6364477
You are Gleeman Vox, founder and owner of Vox Industries, creator of Dreadzone, and currently one of, if not THE, richest beings in the entire Seventh Universe. With a monthly cashflow with more digits than Chaya's powerlevel on a scouter, only beings like King Cold have potentially more wealth than yourself. And with running your empire comes perks, like having your own personal goddess as your last line of defense against so-called gods trying to come into YOUR house and strong-arm you.

“Tch. Mortal brat. Thinking you're so high and mighty because you got a taste of real power back at that tournament? I'll show you real power.” the rat replies, tearing his hand free of Chaya's grip while releasing her, his body quickly coated in a sickly purple energy that makes your blood run icy, a deep, instinctual fear of death rising. But you didn't make it this far in life by letting fear rule you, or worse letting others tell you're afraid. So, you keep your poker face up, not moving or even leaning back as you address the Destroyer once more.
“You will not fight in my office. Any and all fights are to be taken to the arena below.” you tell him, the creature turning back to you with a look on his face that would probably be less shocked if you'd actually slapped him. “You want a copy of the video, you'll pay for it like everyone else. And if you can't pay, then you can always fight in my arena, to build up enough credit for a copy.”

Your calm, composed reply leaves the rat speechless for three seconds, then sputtering in outrage at the lack of deference you're showing someone of his level of power.

“Y-! Wh-?! F-! Ah-!” he sputters, then expression turns livid as he clenches his fists. Aura blazing higher as he's reaching the end of his patience. “Enough! Last chance, hand it over!”
“HURRRAAAAAAAH!!” Chaya roars, and suddenly her own power EXPLODES! The sheer force of her aura kicks up a whirlwind in your office, papers flying and even staggering the deity back as his eyes widen in shock at your champion. Jaw dropping, so stunned even his aura vanishes completely. Clearly unaware she'd KEPT the powerup she'd gotten from absorbing that Spirit Bomb. Something she notices immediately, smirking through clenched teeth even as her veins bulge, her body trembles with power. “What's wrong? You thought this power was a one-time deal, huh? Seems like you should've watched the rest of the tournament. Now, get the hell out, before I-!”
“That's quite alright, Chaya. I'm sure our visiting Destroyer from the Fourth Universe knows fighting outside his Universe will greatly displease Grand Zen-Oh. Especially if he abuses his power in a Universe he's got no jurisdiction in to hurt his favorite fighter.”
>>
>>6364479
At your words the Destroyer freezes, eyes blowing wide with panic. Clearly terrified of the highest deity in his hierarchy, and your bringing him up had the desired effect. All the fight drains out of the rat, as he immediately backs off. Turning and leaping down off your desk, walking to the door. Waving at his attendant, trying to seem nonchalant as he speaks. As if he didn't almost call down the god Destroyers fear's wrath down on himself, or that he's capitulating. But you can hear it in his voice.

“Cognac, Kuru, Get whichever recording's best, and whatever viewing tech we'll need for it.” the Destroyer tells his attendant. Who bows to the tiny god, then turns back to you all. Or, specifically you with a knowing smile.
“Well played. So, what is the price for everything?” the one called Cognac asks, you giving the total number and not the breakdown after doing quick mental math and getting the items gathered with a thought to the warehouse manager, where he's got six more bundles ready for this and the other universes' Destroyers. Including the “asshole” tax of an additional 8.459% markup on the total, since he wanted to be confrontational. To which the Kai calls forth several bars of different precious metals. No doubt sourced from their universe, you scanning each with your metal hand to ensure they're pure and not simply plated. And once you've scanned and weighed them, sure enough the materials' exchange rate is exact change to the tenth of a cent. You send Chaya to collect them, who disappears in a blink and returns a moment later with a hovercart laden with everything. The attendant nods to you, smirking knowingly. “A pleasure.”

He then turns to Chaya, and bows noticeably deeper to her.

“Goddess.” he says as he rises, and for some reason Chaya bows to him as well. The gesture between the two strangely formal, as if there's more going on here than you're aware of.
“Angel.” she answers, then with a gesture all the items on the cart begin hovering in the air behind the angel as Chaya'd called him, the two going out the door as well. Where you see the rat had been pacing, the trio then disappearing in a flash of light. Chaya then turns to you, powering down with a grin.

“You were right. They all seem to be coming to get their hands on this video.” she says, popping her neck. “Guess Dreadzone's really got the best video tech in the multiverse.”
“Of course. Had to keep investing in quality, so everyone could watch your fights.” you tell her with a laugh. “What good is it to televise fights if you're moving faster than my filming frame rate can catch? Good thing I invested in you early, preparing for your rise.”
>>
>>6364481
“Says the guy who invested in my downfall.” she replies with a laugh, you chuckling as well as you both remember Tanya's short stint as champion those years ago. But as you both laugh, you can see the memories in her eyes. Looking back on her life, and how she ended up here. Chaya, after you both stop laughing, looks down at her open right hand. “It wasn't an easy road, getting here.”
“Indeed. But I never lost faith in you.” you reply, Chaya looking up at you with a wry look. You both knowing you're full of it, that you'd have dropped her in a minute if a better-selling champion came around and knocked her off her throne. And the only reason you'd backed her return over Tanya was she sold much better to the universe, while Tanya's audience was far more niche and frankly frugal. “You're the champ for a reason, Chaya. And now, everyone across twelve universes are gonna know it.”

“Yeah.” she says, clenching her fist with a grin, then looks back up to you. Meeting your gaze as she starts talking. “So, about this tournament I've been talking about. Let's talk details.”

And as you and Chaya strategize this 'tournament of bachelors' as you're calling it for now, until you both devise a better, catchier name, you find yourself getting oddly... Sentimental. Watching her plan her tournament to find a potential husband, you're suddenly struck by how long you've known her. You remember when she showed up as a gimmick, a one-off deal with the PTO to drum up publicity and sell how powerful the Saiyans were to the rest of the verse. Remember how the crowds loved her, how sweet and innocent she was at first, then became the fans' darling, her fall from her throne with Tanya's backstab arc, and now her rise post-return as the 'Goddess of Victory' everyone's calling her now, the most-watched entity in all of broadcasting across the entirety of the Seventh Universe. She's almost like the daughter you never had, and as she's talking excitedly about the different challenges she's thinking of having the contestants do, suddenly, in your mind she's not the grizzled, hardened champion of today. But see her as she was when she first walked into your office as Champion of Dreadzone after beating the then-champion Ace Hardlight at only 11 years old. And you grin, knowing the entire universe has watched her grow up along with you. And they'll ALL tune in to this tournament, to not miss a second of the next big milestone in her life. This tournament will be the biggest event Dreadzone's hosted yet!

So, getting back into the current thrust of the quest, what are we gonna do with these kidnappers?
Killing them all is an option, but that leaves us with a severe lack of information.
If we do take one alive, how would we go about interrogating them? Dropping them off at Cold's is always an option, as is having Raven probe their minds. Milha is also an option I guess, but I'm worried they might die from shock before she's able to get anything useful out of them.
Maybe Bane has a recommendation?
>>
>>6364885
You may have a more urgent problem. Can you stop Turles from killing them all before you can capture any of them? And, perhaps more importantly, how were you unable to telepathically reach Ticho? That second question might be even more relevant in the void of space where you can't talk.
>>
>>6364909
I'm more surprised they were able to kidnap Ticho in the first place. Between her prodigious strength and transformations, she should have been able to massacre the whole group, even if she was caught off guard initially.
I'm willing to bet they're doing something to dampen her powers, which might also explain why her psionic presence was too weak to connect to.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn learned his father's history, the story of his involvement in the conquering of Planet Cereal before leaving the afterlife. Returning to the world of the living, and learning from King Vegeta IV of all the ways he's found that implicates the Heeter Elec in what happened with the missing Saiyan from that invasion. Karn then sparred with the king's son, Prince Vegeta V. Training him the same way Karn trained his father, all those years ago. Pushing the boy to his limits, then past them and caused him to Ascend. After sparring with the boy, Karn then took his time sharing his gathered information with his friends. Leyas, Sarada, and Goar were all informed, but as he visits with Turles Karn learns Ticho's gone! Her ki far off in space, near the edge of Karn's senses. He and Turles teleport into the void of space, appearing before the Tamaranean captors. And as we rejoin Karn, Turles has ripped the first of them in half for striking his daughter.

“Hand her over. Now.” you think at all of them, including Turles. But, as you do, you can't connect with their minds. With ANYONE's mind! The five of the Tamaraneans' minds, and Ticho and Turles are all unreachable! As if something's shielding them from your communication. Or, more accurately, keeping Ticho from communicating back to you all. Whatever they did, it was no doubt to block Turles' daughter from calling to him for help. But right now, she's not the one who needs help.

“HRRRAAAAA!!” Turles very obviously roars, lunging at the next of the would-be captors. A woman who tries to meet his charge head-on, meeting him fist-to-fist, only for his blow to detonate her arm to the elbow in a bloody, gory mess. Skin is shredded, muscles destroyed and bones go flying as his punch shatters her limb. The woman recoils, howling soundlessly in the void as her focus is shattered and grabs at the stump of her arm. Only to take his left through her skull, spraying the next Tamaranean with that fighter's grey matter and bits of bone and blood. And, immediately, the remaining four all collectively, wordlessly come to the same idea simultaneously. The first good idea they've had that day, as they all simultaneously release Ticho, shove her towards the rampaging Turles, and blast off in different directions. Clearly deciding that whatever possessed them to try this was no longer worth the cost. Which leaves just one question:

What do you do with them?
>Scatter Beams, cut them all down simultaneously
>Dash to one and grab them, then grab Turles and Ticho and teleport back. Let the others go, to report their failure to whoever sent them
>Use your telekinesis to grab all of them and bring them all back, teleport them all, Turles and Ticho back to New Salda

You simply can't pay people money to get between a Saiyan and their child. There is something deeper to this.
>Use your telekinesis to grab all of them and bring them all back, teleport them all, Turles and Ticho back to New Salda
The fact that our physical abilities seem to be unaffected makes me think this will work. If it was just Ticho we couldn't speak to I'd say it was drugs, but there's something being emitted causing this telepathy issue. But it doesn't explain how or why she couldn't fight back, else us and Turles would be feeling sluggish right now.

Ya know what it reminds me of? Meloka's Ki shell, specifically when she used it to disable Beerus's ki detection during our first fight.

“No you don't!” you snarl wordlessly into the void, reaching out with your telekinesis. Grabbing all four of the fleeing Tamaraneans at once, pulling them all back towards you. Feeling them struggle against your power as you draw them inevitably back in, Turles too focused on holding his daughter to notice what's happening. You draw all four towards you, and one of the females, realizing it's futile, stops resisting entirely and flies straight at you. For a moment you think she's going to try and attack, but instead she turns her body prone, kneeling in the void before you. And, knowing who you'll probably get the most information out of, draw the other three to you as well. Gathering the four Tamaraneans, then reaching over and grabbing Turles' shoulder. And, with a thought, focus on your wife's energy, reaching out to her with a thought.

“Heading your way.” you think to her, yet your mind doesn't reach hers! Once more, whatever they're doing to suppress telepathy blocks your attempt. Leaving you unable to warn your wife what's about to happen, but you'll deal with it when you get there. So, with a thought, holding onto the four Tamaraneans and your ally and his daughter, you teleport. Your Instant Transmission teleporting the seven of you from the void of space back to your world, right by your wife. Who is, fortunately, outside. But, unfortunately, training. Thousands of her Warding Eyes spinning around her all at different orbits and speeds, you all appearing in the center of a literal three-dimensional minefield.
“Freeze.” your wife orders, firing a single beam from her finger. It striking one of the orbs, the beam splitting into three that strike other orbs. And before the captured Tamaraneans can blink, they're trapped. Which, you're trapped with them, as is Turles and Ticho. But you're not afraid of your wife hurting you all. “Karn, what is this? What's going on?”

“They tried to sneak here and capture Ticho.” you say, gesturing to the three standing Tamaraneans, who all are looking around terrified. While the fourth remains on her knees at your feet, not moving. Clearly trying to throw herself on your mercy, to not end up like those less fortunate two of her compatriots. “Have a technique keeping telepathy from working, couldn't give you a heads up as I was coming back.”

“Blocking telepathy?” she asks, eyes going a bit wide, looking from them to Ticho in Turles' arms, the girl sobbing and apologizing to him over and over. Saying “I'm sorry! I'm sorry!” repeatedly as she trembles. Turles holds his daughter close, rubbing her back and whispering in her ear as he holds her. The Tamaraneans no longer even a concern to him, while the three standing would-be kidnappers look like they'd rather be anywhere else. “Interesting. Should I get King Vegeta for this? Or call Lord Freeza down, I'm sure he'd have a lot to say about this.”

Which leaves one question:

What do you do with the four of them?
>Ask her to keep the three others contained, ask the kneeling one to explain everything. To tell you all she knows, to not leave anything out and you promise she won't be hurt
>Have your wife telepathically call for your half-demon daughter Milha, ask if she's got some time to help you with an interrogation. Explain what happened and that you need her unique skills to get every drop of information out of them
>Reach over to Ticho, pat her on the back and ask her if she's okay and what happened to her. You're more interested in her side of the story than the Tamaraneans right now
>Have Meloka call King Vegeta down, he'll know what to do with the prisoners to contain them and how to best get all the information they have out of them
>Ask the one kneeling what she knows about why your telepathy doesn't work around them, find out what they're doing and how it works first before anything else
>Tell Meloka to call them both down telepathically, off the record at first. Let them decide if this has to escalate to official action, of if the last four of them should simply be... Dealt with

“Meloka, if you would, go call both King Vegeta and Lord Freeza down here?” you ask her, your wife raising a brow. “Off the record, at least at first. And find out just how far this telepathy-blocking power goes?”
“Of course, not a problem.” she replies, and with a gesture sends the REST of her thousands of Warding Eyes to encircle you all. Ensuring that the Tamaraneans can't escape before she starts floating back and away, eyes unfocused as she tries to reach out telepathically.”

“You four made quite the mistake today, going after my friend's daughter.” you tell them, crossing your arms. The three standing look nervously between you, each other and Turles. Who is just standing there, holding and comforting his daughter. She's gone quiet, the only sounds from her are her soft, gentle sobs as she clings to her father's fur. Head buried in his chest, his arms protectively around her as he glares at the Tamaraneans with pure hatred in his eyes. If Meloka's Hellzone Prison technique hadn't put beams up between Turles and the aliens, you doubt they'd still be alive. And as Meloka starts flying back over, you sense more than a dozen royal guard flying with the king towards you all, even the weakest Saiyan approaching stronger than all four Tamaraneans combined. Seems he's bringing the old guard for this. But, before the King arrives, you sense another energy suddenly appear by your wife. For a split-second you ready an attack. However, recognizing Freeza's ki you stop, and the former emperor appears beside your wife.

“Well well, what a surprise. Quite a bold choice, for the four of you to try and invade my world.” Freeza says, flying down and landing near you all as Meloka dispels her attack. The energy fading, Turles immediately leaping back and away from them with his daughter. Prioritizing her safety over going on the attack, putting space between them as Freeza approaches. “So; which of you will be the one who talks? And which of you are... Unnecessary?”

At Freeza's question, you see the sudden, overwhelming fear in the three standing Tamaraneans' eyes. But before any of them can speak up, the one on the ground raises her ponytail'd head.

“I'll tell everything. We were sent here by-!” she starts, only for the one next to her, the large, broad-shouldered warrior swings down at her head. Clearly aiming to silence her, or end her completely. So you interfere, blurring forward and grabbing his wrist. Stopping his strike short, staring down the warrior as the other continues. “Queen Komand'r's orders. We were ordered to retrieve the queen's daughter, and bring her home!”

On whose authority?” Turles asks, suddenly speaking up. The woman turns to him, her eyes widening with recognition. “Myrl'lall, who directly gave you that order?”
“I-It was-!” she starts, looking from Freeza to Turles to you. Eyes darting back and forth, suddenly her breathing increases, sweat starts beading on her. She tries to speak, but all that comes out is a wheeze. You see the woman's eyes bulge in shock, hands going to her throat as if something's choking her! Seeing this, Freeza moves. Dashing forward, slamming a fist in two of the three standing Tamaraneans' guts, slamming his tail into the third's. All three dropping, trembling for a moment before collapsing limp, unconscious to the ground. But that doesn't help the one choking, gasping and struggling to breathe.

“Hmmm. Seems someone wants you to not learn her secrets.” the phantom of Darth Bane says, appearing beside you. “Unfortunate, that you cannot read her mind right now and find out the truth before she passes.”
“She's not dying here, not now!” you reply with a thought. You need the information she's got in her head.

But what will you do? What CAN you do?

I'm not sure of this person's range, but if this is standard force choking then there isn't a possible way to keep doing it in another dimension. If its through magical binding then this schmuck's fucked, gg.

“Dammit!” you snarl, reaching down and grabbing the woman, lifting her up into your arms. You see your wife's brow twitch, Freeza raise a brow questioningly as you explode off the ground. Expanding your ki sense, flying back to your city. Dashing straight towards your youngest daughter's ki signature. Calling to her as you see her reading on the beach by the sea. “Okira! I need your library, now!”
“Wha-?” she exclaims, standing up and turning, seeing you dropping down. Looks from your worry to the choking woman, then with a nod opens her portal. Leaping through, gesturing for you to come in as well. And you do, carrying her in as your daughter closes the portal. And, the instant it closes, the Tamaranean woman Myrl'lall IMMEDIATELY gasps for air. Eyes going wide, panicked, looking around in confusion. “So, you needed to cut her off temporally? What kind of threat are we looking for?”

“I don't know.” you tell your daughter, the woman looking back and forth between you both as she struggles to catch her breath in your arms. Gasping air desperately. “Going here was the only way I could think to save her.”
“So, who is she?” Imagine Dragon asks you, looking from you to the Tamaranean. “Another stray?”
“No. She, and five others kidnapped Ticho.” you reply, your daughter and her Stand's eyes all widen in shock. “Had some technique that suppressed telepathy, so she couldn't call for help. And she was going to tell us, before someone stopped her from talking.”

“Yes! The one who ordered us, said we were acting on the queen's orders. She has a new advisor, a red-skinned Zabrak covered in black tattoos who wields strange powers named Kryat.” the woman confesses. “He is the one who ordered this, said it was “unofficial orders”. Under the table kind of stuff. He's the one who taught us that technique.”
“Technique?” you ask, raising a brow. Even feeling Bane's sudden interest as well. “So that was a technique he taught to resist us?”
“Yes, well, kind of. The way he taught it, it was like his mind was an umbrella. And while we're under it, no one can read our thoughts.” she explains, Bane stroking his chin. “So, when we linked our minds together, it formed a shield blocking all telepathy going in or our. And with her in our middle, she couldn't get a message out. Like fencing in a wild beast.”

“Hrmmm, that's quite the technique.” Bane mutters, but that doesn't answer your more important question.
“But how did you all kidnap her?” you ask, setting the Tamaranean woman down on the ground, crossing your arms. “How did you overpower her? If Ticho transformed, then she wouldn't-”
“We didn't let her. That's another technique we learned from him.” Myrl'lall continues, looking down. Clearly worried now. “He calls it Henshin Breaker.”

“Henshin Breaker?” Okira asks, immediately seeming very invested. “You possess a technique to stop transformations?”
“It not only stops transformations. But reverts anyone it is used on back to their 'default' state.” the Tamaranean woman clairifies. “Henshin Breaker was designed to defeat...”

She then looks away, unable to meet your eyes. But as the silence grows, she returns her gaze to yours.

“To defeat your wife, and to make you submit to her. You and Turles both.” Myrl'lall confesses. “She's never forgiven you for what you did to her.”
“You mean besides saving your people during the Covenant War?” you ask, Myrl'lall bowing her head in shame.
“I remember.” she says quietly, not looking up. “But, when Kryat says to do something, says the queen's orders, you just... You can't consider saying no. No matter how unreasonable it sounds later.”

“Persuasion. A simple, but effective skill.” Bane comments, the woman then looking up to you.
“What... What happens now?” she asks, eyes wide with fear. “He said if we failed the queen, he'd kill us personally. But I knew you'd show mercy, as you had to the Covenant left behind from the invasion. But if I go back out there...”

Her hands return to her throat, remembering the pain she was in as the life was nearly crushed from her. Which is a good question.

What do you do now?
>Ask Bane if there's a technique to shield yourself or someone else from an attack like that, to prevent a repeat of what happened the moment you all step back out
>Ask Okira to watch over her and let you back out to tell Freeza and Vegeta what you learned, to leave the portal open unless she begins choking again then to close it
>Apologize to Myrl'lall then knock her out, leaving her inside Okira's library for a bit as you both exit and return to your allies to telepathically tell them everything you learned

Henshin Breaker is interesting and also very concerning. Sounds like the hackerman shit that cheating twat Fu does. What I'm really worried about is where the fuck this Sith Lord came from, and if this is related to the whole Heeter thing. Because if this technique is employed during our confrontation with Granolah...

“Bane. Is there a technique to shield yourself or someone else from an attack like that?” you ask, turning to the phantom hovering beside you. “Need to stop them from just doing it again to her the moment we all step back out there.”
“Hmmm. Well, if she can't defend herself... There is one way.” Bane replies, after a moment's consideration. “But it requires a careful touch. Too much and you'll kill her yourself, not enough and our phantom menace will still take her life. YOU have to choke her yourself.”

“What?!” you exclaim audibly at Bane's idea, brows shooting to the sky. “That's-!”
“The only way. Unless you can find and stop them from this dimension?” Bane asks, raising a brow. To which you sigh out, nodding, then turn to Myrl'lall.
“I'll protect you. But, it won't be comfortable. And we'll have to practice a bit.” you tell her, the Tamaranean woman looking confused.

“What do you mean?” she asks, you then explain Bane's plan to her and Okira. “You're going to protect me from Kryat's choking... By choking me yourself?”
“Yes.” I reply, nodding. “Then it becomes a contest of power. He'll have to overpower me to choke you any further, to try and take your life. So, tell me: do you think he's stronger than me?”
“No.” Myrl'lall answers, eyes resolute as she leans her head back, baring her neck. “I trust you, General Karn.”

You then reach up, letting Bane's words guide you as you reach out towards her. Gently grabbing her neck with your telekinesis, but as you do, see her eyes bulge immediately. Gasping, but no air moves, your grip crushing her. So you let go immediately, then once she's caught her breath you try again. And again and again, even at your gentlest your power's crushing her. After nearly five minutes, however, you finally get it. She tenses up as you reach out, then wheezes as your telekinetic touch closes on her neck. But this time she's still able to breathe, eyes wide with relief.

“I can breathe.” she says, voice rough from how you'd been gripping her throat repeatedly. “I'm ready.”
“Now, remember, focus. And when the pressure comes, push out, not in.” Bane tells you then vanishes, leaving this challenge to you as Okira opens her portal back to New Salda. And as you all step through, immediately you feel another presence. Like a hand wrapped around your own, to force you to crush an egg you're delicately holding.
“Tch!” you exhale as the pressure comes fast and powerful, but their strength is nothing compared to your own. Especially in your transformed state. Easily able to resist, to prevent Myrl'lall's throat from being crushed.

cont
>>
>>6365300
The presence keeps fighting against your power, leaning further and further into it. Into besting you, overpowering you and tying up that loose end. But their power doesn't compare to your own, you easily keeping their efforts at bay.

“Now, push back.” Bane tells you, not even appearing physically now, just speaking directly into your mind. “Focus on that power, and follow it back to its source. Give them a taste of their own medicine.”
“Their own medicine?” you reply with a thought, grinning. Yeah, that sounds right. Deserved. And so, with Bane's help explaining the technique, you strike. Like opening your hand when someone's caught your fist and lacing your fingers together with theirs, you grab them by the power. And, suddenly, it's no longer a contest over Myrl'lall's throat. But your powers, sliding past one another, have grabbed ONE ANOTHER by the neck! You feel his neck in your grip in the same instant you feel his on your own. And without hesitation he squeezes down, cutting off your air. “Hmph.”

But you don't squeeze back. Not yet. First, you spread your grip, enveloping their entire body as their grip tightens on your neck. And then, once you've got their entire body in your grip, THEN you squeeze. Crushing the foreign influence, turning your entire strength on breaking them. Immediately the grip on your neck vanishes, the being, presumably Kryat's presence retreating to himself, to focus entirely on defense. On protecting himself from your power as you stand there, eyes rolled back in your head and hand outstretched. Squeezing your hand harder and harder, putting more and more force into crushing this bastard here and now! But then, something or someone else interferes. The connection vanishes as if it never were, the being vanishing from inside your telekinetic grip as you close around nothing.

“Tch. They got away.” you spit, blinking a couple times as you open your eyes.
“Go-Got away?” Got AWAY?!” Myrl'lall shouts in shock, eyes wide. “You actually...?”
“Of course. Almost had them, too. Was crushing the bastard before something, or someone, interfered and saved them.”
“That's my dad for you.” Okira replies, hands behind her head as she walks with the two of you. “So, what now?”

“Now? Now-”

“-we head back to Freeza and the others.” you say, lifting up into the air. Okira follows suit, Myrl'lall hesitating a moment before lifting up into the air as well. She then follows as you lead everyone back, heading back to where Meloka'd been training until you'd interrupted her with this. In the short time you'd been away King Vegeta had arrived, along with his guards. However, you immediately realize something else is wrong, as all three of the Tamaraneans' ki signatures are now gone. Landing by the trio, Vegeta raises his head and shakes his. Only to freeze when he sees her, eyes going wide.
“Karn, whatever you did, get her out of here! These three already died, if-!” he starts, you holding up a hand to him.

“Don't worry. I handled the guy doing it. At least, for now.” you explain, then begin telling him, his guard, Freeza, Meloka, Ticho, and Turles everything. What you did to the one who no doubt killed the others, then gesturing to Myrl'lall for her to share what she told you as well. And she does, explaining everything she'd told you. Both Freeza and Vegeta's expressions turning dark. Turles still looks furious, while Ticho holds onto her father, as if she'll disappear if she lets go of him. She finishes her tale, telling everything you now know before you continue. “So, that's where we're at.”
“Let me see if I get this straight.” Turles says, raising his voice for the first time since returning. “You mean to tell me there's someone acting on behalf of that bitch, and we're not already destroying her for it? Why the hell aren't we razing her fucking planet right now?”

Myrl'lall flinches at his tone, cowering a bit from him, but you get it. However, you also know this doesn't feel right. Something's off about all this. Almost as if someone's trying to distract you from something.

“Do you really think she's the type to do this?” you ask him, turning to face your friend fully. “Send someone else to do her dirty work? Like the truce'd keep her off this planet, you know if she was behind this, she'd be here herself.”
“I-! Tch!” he snarls through clenched teeth. Angry that you're right, but unable to dispute it. Freeza, however, has turned his attention to the woman.
“A technique that can suppress transformations? Interesting. Demonstrate it upon me.” Freeza tells her, immediately flashing up into his Golden form. Spreading his arms, taking his old stance he'd use before you trained him. “Suppress this form, if you can. Do your best.”

cont
>>
>>6365391
“I, well... It's a technique not really suited to a one-on-one. But the effect is more collaborative.” Myrl'lall explains, gesturing towards her fallen allies nervously. “Against a stronger opponent who has already transformed, it won't be nearly as effective without multiple people using it. Three of us suppressed Ticho's Super Saiyan power, to snuff it out like a candle's flame. But I'll show you anyways, let you feel its power, Emperor Freeza.”

She then crosses her arms, a strange, dark, yet somehow oddly familiar power begins to rise within her. One that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end, the Royal Guard all taking a step or two back as they feel it as well. Before taking a strange pose, both arms held close to her chest. The backs of her hands towards Freeza, thumbs pointing straight into the air and her pointer fingers crossed.

“With this ancient seal I bury the light! Henshin! BREAKER!” she shouts, thrusting her arms forward towards him as two parallel lines of sinister energy with an X between them appear over Freeza's chest. And IMMEDIATELY his power plummets! His power drops, cut down by well over twenty percent of what he'd been using. Only for her to draw her arms back to her chest, then thrusting them back at him again and again. “Henshin Breaker! Henshin Breaker!”

With each declaration, another emblem appears atop the first, each one cutting his power more and more. And on the forth, as the emblem now blazes bright, suddenly the gold begins to bleed from Freeza's body. Like an ice sculpture melting, his gold melts away, reverting him back to his usual form. Eyes wide, blinking with surprise.

“Oh. Well now, it seems this ridiculous claim bears some merit.” Freeza says, tone clearly impressed. “But let it see if it can withstand this! SHYAAAAA!”

His purple aura blazes, veins bulging in his head with strain, but despite what appear to be Freeza's best efforts, he can't go Golden again!

“Haaaah! Well now, this is interesting. Let me try once more.” he replies, and you realize he's going to try and go far beyond that Golden form. To his greatest power: Black Freeza. “SHHHHYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

cont
>>
>>6365394
Aura surging, blazing even higher, your entire planet trembles with the effort Freeza is putting in. Yet, despite this, nothing still happens. He sustains the effort for a minute, then with a gasp staggers a step back, dropping to a knee. “Inconceivable. To think that even my power would be hampered by such a devastating technique. It would seem you've acquired quite the dangerous skill. Tell me, how does one use it? What is the training to develop this skill? And how long does it last?”

“Training? N-No, nothing like that. I mean, we have to train to use it. But the power to wield it, that came from, well... I'm not entirely sure.” Myrl'lall says nervously, shifting on her feet. “Those of us who can use it, we, well... It was called a ritual. We were all brought into a chamber I'd never seen before, and then... I don't remember. But after it, we could then all use the darker powers.”
“So, a secret technique needing a mystery component to complete?” Freeza says, stroking his chin thoughtfully. “I see.”
“I wish I could tell you more, Lord Freeza.” she says, bowing her head. “I have told you everything I know. Oh, and that it lasts for an hour. Or until I die, or consciously undo it.”

Well, it seems that you won't be able to take that technique so easily. But that does leave one important question:

What now?
>Ask King Vegeta and Freeza if it would be worth your time to try and reach Komand'r through official channels, to out what happened and see if she'll handle this or reveal if she's in on it
>Ask Myrl'lall if she knows what she'll do now, if she'll try and return home or if she has somewhere to escape to. Because you know that whoever tried to take her out is still out there
>Telepathically call Chilli and see if he can spare a few minutes to come check Myrl'lall, see if he can figure out what this ritual has done to her. Perhaps it's something he can copy and give your family access to this power
>Stay quiet, watch and see how things unfold

“That's one hell of a technique, Mrl'lall. It's a good thing you showed us, so we can be ready for it.” you tell her, reaching over and patting her on the shoulder. “But what now? Are you going to try and return home? Or do you have a place in mind, somewhere you can escape to? Because whoever it was that tried to take you out is still out there.”
“I... I don't know.” she confesses, shoulders slumping and head hanging. “I knew this mission was dangerous, that I might not make it back. But... This?”

She gestures around at all of you, at her dead compatriots, at the day she's having.

“I wasn't ready for this. I... I'm not sure what happens now.” she says, sounding and seeming small, wrapping her arms around herself. Glancing back at her fallen allies, eyes watering before looking away. “This was just supposed to be a simple mission. Use these new techniques, capture Ticho, and bring her back to planet...!”
“Which planet?” King Vegeta asks her, the woman's eyes widening in surprise. Then bulging out, you recognizing what's happening.
“Dammit!” you snarl, reaching out with your telekinesis to pull the grip off her. Only to not feel anything. Whatever's happening now, it isn't the same thing! “What?”

The woman's eyes roll up into the back of her head, blood suddenly pouring from her eyes, nose, and ears as she collapses. Power fading completely as she's simply... Killed. Murdered, with no discernible cause of death. But, as she falls, suddenly your instincts SCREAM at you that you're in danger. Then, with a blur of motion you reach down, grabbing her body and launching it into the air.

“BARRIER!” you shout, spreading your arms and activating your shielding technique. Covering everyone nearby, your energy hardening just as the poor girl's body explodes. Detonating in a blast of dark, fiery energy that absorbs light instead of flashing bright with it. And as the darkness fades, her body's gone. Completely, consumed without a trace. Silence hangs in the clearing, the only sound that of your energy humming around you all. Everyone shocked into silence by what happened, and knowing just what sort of threat you all are up against now.

>>6365428
The timing of this is suspicious too. It may or may not be related to the Granolah biz. But the only thing I can see Ticho being specifically special for in this situation is the political liability her capture would cause. Who would gain what for staging a shitshow like this?

>>6365435
Yes, far as you know this being isn't on your world.
Who would gain indeed. Or, perhaps, who could lose the most?
>>
>>6365547
>Who would gain indeed. Or, perhaps, who could lose the most?
Honestly? I think Cooler stands to lose the most.
As representatives of our respective races, our and Komand'r's dispute could turn into war between our races.
Beyond Cooler coming to blows with Frieza by proxy and what that entails, a civil war would severely diminish the PTO's ability to detect and address outside threats while it's ongoing.
My gut says the Heeters are involved, but something in the back of my head is telling me they aren't the only ones with designs on Cooler's throne.
>>
>>6365547
>Or, perhaps, who could lose the most?
Good question. What King Vegeta said here
>>6362389
>This is a political matter. And several factions Freeza held completely control and loyalty over are divided on his brother's rule. Cooler's made enemies. And having one of his backers so publicly eliminated could fracture the PTO entirely
makes me think that the Battle for Namek has had greater consequences politically than most of us thought. Like >>6365568 said, I think Cooler stands to lose the most from this seeing how his rule is already being challenged and dissidents sensing instability and weakness with the whole crown transfer. But if the point of this was *just* to drive a hammer into the wedge of Saiyan-Tamaranean relations (Komand'r's domestic dispute with Turles), I don't think that such a powerful technique in Henshin Breaker would've been necessary to draw Turles's wrath and by extension OUR wrath to the door of Tamaranean royalty.

This royal advisor sent expendable troops to successfully retrieve Ticho, as she'd obliterate them with Super Saiyan or that other form she has. But you don't exactly need to succeed to have the desired effect of flinging shit at Komand'r. In the rat's words before she asploded, she says this:
>Henshin Breaker was designed to defeat...your wife, and to make you submit to her. You and Turles both.
Ticho was bait to bring Turles, Meloka and us to Tamaran to confront Blackfire, and then to defeat us to either make us POWs or to make an example out of us. Seeing the objectively STRONGEST Saiyan to ever life in the age of written words get taken out would be the galactic shitshow of a century. I can't predict everything that would happen after that, but I know for sure that Tamaran would not see its next sunrise.
>>
>>6365568
Not MUCH of a war, but one that would shatter trust.
The Heeters could be involved, as masterminds or simple players in someone else's game.
>>6365584
Now you're thinking. The capture of Ticho was clearly designed to bring you to Komand'r. As you wouldn't let Turles walk into that wolves den alone. And if she managed to capture THE Dragon of New Salda, defeat him publicly? Would shatter the PTO's authority.
>>
>>6365421
The silence hangs heavy in the clearing over you all, no one wanting to be the first to speak after what just happened. However, the first to act is Freeza, who immediately turns, grabbing the three remaining bodies with his telekinesis, launching them straight up in the air towards space. Clearly expecting them to blow as well, and sure enough, as they're little more than dark specks as they're so high in the sky, they all detonate as well. Each consumed by similar dark explosions, the expanding voids consuming the bodies entirely before vanishing once more.

“Well then. It would seem that, whoever's behind this, does not want to be found and implicated.” Freeza says, breaking the silence as he turns to King Vegeta. “I do believe the two of us have a rather... Awkward call to make to the Tamaranean Queen.”
“You're gonna talk to that b-?!” Turles starts, but still holding his daughter, holds himself back from insulting her. But that doesn't stop Ticho.
“That crazy bitch is probably behind it.” she says, not showing her father's hesitation. “She needs to be stopped, before a bunch of other people start dying too.”

“King Vegeta and I shall handle things through... Official channels.” Freeza says, then turns to you. “As I am no longer in command of the PTO's military, I cannot give orders any more. But, even if I could, I wouldn't directly order a direct strike against an ally.”
“Bullshit.” Turles says, Freeza smirking at his declaration.
“However, my brother, Cooler, is the one who is in charge of that.” Freeza continues as if he wasn't interrupted. “And I shall be reaching out to him about this incident. Such an act would be a declaration of war. However, if one were to go about the Tamaranean Empire to do some... friendly exploration of an allied world, say Planet Azar and more information was dug up about things happening on their side unofficially, perhaps a better understanding of the situation could be reached?”

Freeza then lets this sentence hang in the air a moment before turning back to King Vegeta, addressing him, but also you indirectly.

“Let us go and get this paperwork started, King Vegeta. Should take us at least... Three, four hours to inform my brother through proper, official channels of this incident. Let us get started.”

And without waiting for a reply Freeza takes to the air, his 'orders' clear. Which only leaves you a single question now:

What do you do?
>Gather your family including Broly and Kori to revisit Azar together. Family trip makes you less suspicious, taking Kori to see her people before her and Broly's child is born the perfect cover to do some snooping around
>Take just yourself and go to Raven to open the portal back to her birth world. Power down and scout by yourself, be less noticeable that way and maybe you can find out something important
>Ask Meloka to go about scouting that planet, that if she's caught or confronted to teleport back to you with your linked bands. As their technique doesn't stall Instant Transmission itself, and she's far less... Conspicuous than you are

I initially scoffed at this, but honestly, this might be the move.
Tatsu, Tomi, and Tomitsu are all old enough now to start handling serious work, and while Henshin Breaker is definitely a concern, I don't think something like that would effect Fusion, as it's not a transformation...right?

Yeah, none of these options are particularly appealing to me but every option other than this one consists of people Komand'r has direct beef with and would gladly agree to never see her face again. Kori hates her, Meloka DESPISES her and doesn't have the temperament for Kori's fawning behavior, and we are simply too blunt and an obvious display of power to randomly show up with margaritas. Even a blockhead like Komand'r would know something's up, even if she somehow isn't in on this mess. With the twins and their lack of baggage, I feel like they could more easily bullshit an excuse to go snooping, and the combined power of Tomitsu should be enough to make them not completely helpless if hit by that Henshin Breaker for whatever reason. Still suspicious, but not AS suspicious.

I'm thinking of a workaround to this problematic technique. As far as we know, it prevents physical transformations of the target, right? But if it doesn't stop the flow of power as demonstrated by Frieza, you could gather strength without making physical alterations to your body. Maybe if you were just overclocking your base state to channel more power, it could bypass Henshin Breaker's intended effects..?

That or we could look into what Leyas and Sarada demonstrated earlier; tapping into the power of higher forms without actually transforming.
I think it could actually be done with Supreme Instinct too. It's a matter of resonating with the Berserker Soul and maintaining the correct mindset, so I don't think being transformed is a hard requirement.
That said, I'm also pretty sure it would be an order of magnitude harder to truly resonate with the Berserker Soul in our base form, but I firmly believe it can be done.

Maintaining a higher form without having to drop back out of it is far more efficient than partially tapping into a power and not getting its full strength, in most situations. Especially considering, at that time, there was a war with the Covenant going on and full power was needed.

I was reading these updates more closely and this line sprung out at me just now.
>"With this ancient seal I bury the light! Henshin! BREAKER!"
it scratched this piece of information in my mind about some sort of document or article made by a fan that broke down the mythology and lore of Ki and how it was adapted in the series. For the life of me I can't remember the link or the title but it said something about why Yakon, a light devouring creature, was able to make Goku untransform when all he did was eat the light emitted from the Super Saiyan form. Henshin Breaker reminds me of a more effective and less stupid Yakon. As for whatever the hell this is
>Detonating in a blast of dark, fiery energy that absorbs light instead of flashing bright with it. And as the darkness fades, her body's gone. Completely, consumed without a trace
it has to be related. Ancient seal, "bury the light", and something about the dark side of the force...We gotta grill Bane for the details.
>>
>>6365645
You're a better man than me, because I read "[...]bury the light!" and just started humming Vergil's theme.
>>
>>6365645
>light emitted from
No. He devoured the light OF Super Saiyan, not just the light from Super Saiyan. Pulled the very light FROM him and devoured it.
>Has to be related
Yes.
>Dark side
Possibly. Or could be something else. Who said this threat could ONLY use the force?
>>6365647
Yes, it was a good reference.
>>
>>6365650
>Possibly. Or could be something else. Who said this threat could ONLY use the force?
True. The part about absorbing the light instead of flashing reminds me of Abyssal/Elemental Darkness. We're still on good terms with Aku and he wouldn't dare risk our wrath after we immolated the Abyss within ourselves, so that leaves the possibility of a Kryat being a powerful mage on top of a Sith acolyte.
And if he's able to channel Dark magic, he probably has a working knowledge of Light magic as well, implying he might have access to Chaos magic...
Please God let these just be hunches that go nowhere.

“I think I know the perfect trio for the job.” you say, almost to yourself as you reach out telepathically. Calling out to the eldest twins with a thought. “Tatsu, Tomi, can you come here? We've got a... Situation, and a job for you both if you think you can do it.”
“Dad? Of course.” their minds, all three of them respond simultaneously. And in a blink they appear, using Instant Transmission to appear by you all. Immediately the twins see you, see Freeza and Vegeta leaving with the Royal Guard, Ticho still being held by Raditz, and their expressions harden. Turning fully serious, knowing this isn't a game. “What's the plan?”

You explain to them what happened, what's going on and what Freeza wants done. All telepathically, as it only takes seconds that way to explain everything. Their eyes widen as you explain the Tamaraneans' deaths, and what happened both to her the first then second time, then how she and her fellow failures were erased to prevent investigation. And by the time you're done, both twins look slightly rattled, worried, but resolute.

“We'll do it.” they both reply aloud, perfectly in sync as they nod. “When do we leave?”
“As soon as you're ready. And Raven is ready to send you.” you tell them, your own brows furrowing. “This isn't a battle mission. You're to learn what you can and return, not to cause a fight. If you have to fight, I expect you to win through whatever means necessary. But try to avoid a fight, if you can. This is already messy.”
“We'll just need to grab a few things.” Tatsu says, clearly planning.
“Meet you at Raven's in two minutes?” Tomi asks, you nodding to them both. Then both the twins disappear, leaving the clearing. And from what you sense, teleporting back home. Where your wife then comes up to you, floating up to your eye level.

“Are you sure about this?” she asks, clearly worried. “About them. Are you sure this is a good idea?”
“I'm not sure about anything about this situation.” you tell your wife honestly, grabbing her out of the air and pulling her to you. “But you or I would draw too much attention. The three of them will have the best chance of going about without raising a fuss, and they're all both strong and responsible. We can trust this to them.”
“Right.” she replies with a sigh, clearly still having her doubts, but her worst worries assuaged by you. “We just have to believe in them.”

“Exactly.” you reply, pulling her into a kiss then turn to Turles and his daughter Ticho, who're still here. Turles having reverted back to his base form while you weren't paying attention. “You two okay?”
“I'm okay.” Turles replies, turning to his daughter. “Are you?”
“No. They... They showed up, and when they started talking it was like... Was like I was in a trance.” Ticho replies, hugging herself. “I knew it was wrong, knew I shouldn't go with them. But I couldn't stop myself. It was like watching myself do things, unable to control my own body.”

“Mind control. And sloppy mind control, at that.” you reply to her, the girl's eyes widning at your statement.
“Mind control? That's real?” you ask, remembering what Chaya'd done, that time the bastard Nefarious had controlled you, and nod.
“It's not only real, but terrifying. Losing control of yourself like that, being unable to stop... Yeah, it's rough.” you tell her. “But you're okay now. It's over. We're going to get to the bottom of this, and make sure it not only never happens again, but that the ones behind it pay.”

“Thank you.” she says, voice small before turning back to her dad. “I'd... Like to go home now.”
“Of course. Let's go home.” Turles says to her, then gives you a nod before lifting his daughter up into the air, flying away towards their home.
“Time for us to go too.” you tell your wife, and still holding her lift off into the air as well. She gasps then giggles, clinging tighter to you. Enjoying this moment of peaceful togetherness.

But what now? You have maybe a minute left, before you'll go send the twins off.
>Telepathically tell Broly what happened, to stay on alert. If they came after Komand'r's daughter, there's no doubt in your mind they'll try her sister too
>Head straight to Raven's island, let her know everything that happened too so she can keep an eye out before the twins show up
>Ask Okira if she thinks there's a way, if she can think up a method to prevent any method of mind control from working on the planet or if that's too big an ask of her and her Stand's powers

However, as you fly, suddenly a thought crosses your mind. One that causes you to stop in your tracks. Your wife, immediately worried speaks up.

“What is it?” she asks, tone concerned.
“Broly.” you reply, and feel her tense up in your arms too. Clearly immediately understanding the implications as you send a frantic telepathic message with a thought. “Broly! It's urgent!”
“Dad? What happened?” comes the immediate reply. “Do you need me to come back?”
“Back?” you ask, Broly telling you he and Kori'd returned to his fleet. Said his people'd told him a delegation from the Tamaranean Empire had arrived, wanting to speak to Kori, and your blood runs cold. You IMMEDIATELY tell him everything, and feel his sudden spike in panic as well. “If you can't reach out to her telepathically, she's under the area of effect of their mental block! They already tried to kidnap Ticho, be careful! Do you need my help?”

“I'll handle it.” he replies, and for just a split-second you can FEEL his rage boiling over. Feel his power blaze as he ascends to his Primal form.
“Just be careful. That Henshin Breaker can knock you out of your transformations, and keep you from transforming back up.” you think to him, telepathically showing him what you'd seen her do to Freeza, how even he couldn't transform. “And if you get in trouble under their telepathic dampening, you can't call for help.”
“Don't worry, if anything starts to go wrong, one of my men'll reach out to you and let you know.” he answers, and through the link you can feel him moving as the connection ends.

“So, they're already there?” your wife asks, you nodding and blasting off faster. Raven's island comes into sight, powering down as you drop down to the sand. Meloka not leaving your arms as the Guardian of New Salda looks to you. Not sitting and meditating, but looking... Disturbed. Unsettled.
“Karn. Meloka. I take it you saw that darkness I felt earlier?” she asks, you nod then quickly telepathically catch her up on everything that's happened today after you'd last spoken. Watching her face darken, shadowed by her hood until only her eyes, bright and angry are visible beneath. “I will study this power. Find its source. And rip their heart out.”

>>6365724
Raven's sudden, frightening declaration stuns you and your wife into silence, fury radiating off the Guardian in literal, visible waves as her dark power flares menacingly. However, before either of you can say anything else, Tatsu and Tomi fly down. Wearing cleaned up armor, scouters, and each of them not only carrying a blade in their opposite boots, but each one also carrying one of those Divine Blessings from Caulifla. Held to their bodies by their tails. Clearly ready for whatever they're about to face.

“Are you both sure you're okay with this?” Raven asks, clearly worried.
“We'll be fine. The three of us can handle this.” Tatsu and Tomi say in perfect sync. Then, to the Guardian's clear shock, both step in and hug her. “Don't worry. We'll be safe.”

Your twins then release Raven, who stands there, shocked. They turn to you and your mother, hugging you both as well.

“We'll handle this, don't worry. We'll uncover their scheme and come back without a scratch.” the twins reply, turning back to Raven. “Are you ready?”
“As I can be. Good luck.” she tells them, opening her portal back to her old homeworld you'd rescued her from. Right back in that dark prison where she'd spent years, the twins stepping through while waving to the three of you before Raven closes it. Her expression troubled as she looks back to you, meeting your eye. “I hope you know what you're doing.”
“I have complete faith in them.” you reply, Meloka suddenly shivering slightly in your arms. “They'll be just fine.”

“Well, I suppose. And if worse comes to worse, there's always Namek and Earth, their dragons able to undo even death. I suppose I shouldn't worry.” she says, hugging herself. “But still. With everything happening all at once, I can't help but feel that someone's playing us. That they've been moving pieces around on the board before we've even known there was a game, much less sat down to play.”
“Yeah. It's like someone's trying to keep us distracted from something.” you reply, the thought you'd had earlier returning. But who? And, more importantly, distract you from WHAT?

But what now?

“I don't know what our phantom foe's plan is, or what they're distracting us from. But what I do know is that the more eyes we have on this situation, the more likely it'll be for one of us to figure them out.” you continue, then reach out telepathically. “King Cold. Cooler. We need to talk.”
“Ah, General Karn. Greetings.” King Cold replies. “My son has told me some of what you've encountered today. But your call leads me to believe that more has happened. So, tell me. What else has happened?”

“And why are you bothering me with this?” Cooler adds, clearly annoyed. But you can feel his mind change as you tell them everything that's happened in just today. And as you keep going, desctibing everything from the Heeters' arrival and Granolah seeking revenge to the Tamaranean plot, you feel yourself growing weary. Yawning as you finish the telepathic explanation, neither King Cold nor Cooler immediately replying. Silence stretches for half a minute before King Cold answers.
“It would seem that I have been... Lax, in my observations of the goings on in the universe after Majin Buu's defeat.” the emperor's father says to you. “Perhaps it is time I remind this universe who their master truly is?”

And at King Cold's declaration, you feel a chill crawl up your spine. If he's serious, if he's going to begin getting directly involved, planets could start disappearing. However, before you can say anything else, Cooler steps in.

“Father. I am the one appointed to the position of Emperor. I shall be the one to handle this situation.” King Cold's firstborn replies, you feeling the same icy resolve you'd felt in the Tournament of Power when he'd taken Moro out of the competition. Nothing like the being you'd first met, but a man and a ruler. “First, we shall gather information. Learn the shape of our foes, their tactics, those under their sphere of influence. Use the tools you spent your lifetime building to track one threat to now track another. And then, once this threat is identified, once our phantom foe is found: I will crush them personally, and make an example of them to the entire universe!”

And that's it for this episode, everyone enjoy the ride? What a day, you've been through a lot, do you remember everything that's happened so far? Do you think tomorrow will be just as eventful for Karn, or will he finally get time to breathe, to THINK? Should we have Tatsu and Tomi's adventure be an epilogue/intermission before they return, or after? To build the suspense as we wait for them to get back, or to see the layers of plot going on early and see how deep this rabbit hole goes? And are you ready to eventually confront Queen Komand'r directly, or will you let others handle that issue without your direct involvement? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!

Feels like we're on a time limit to pick up as many pieces of the puzzle we can before the big fight that determines a lot of things going forward. this might be a faster paced campaign more focused on the race against the clock than the outright fighting, and I'm eager to see more.

I am now 0 for fucking TWO on replacement transmissions for my car. Y'all lucky the QM curse only hits me hard irl and hasn't I think ever really affected SCQ itself. But fuck if this doesn't suck fat nards. That transmission warranty lasts until 2029, if I don't have a working car by then and disappear, you all know where I most likely ended up.
>>
>>6366494
Damn, you'd think this one would have lasted a little longer, but naw. Maybe the car itself is cursed or something.
Either way, I hope that shit gets sorted sooner rather than later. Problems like to snowball as soon as regular transportation is compromised.
>>
>>6366497
The first made it 157 miles before catastrophic internal failure. This one didn't even survive the tech's test drive before failing.

>Everyone enjoying the different direction of this arc so far?
Yes. Very much. I find all of it and the mystery fascinating.
>The big bad of this arc could completely get away with it, if you don't discover their plan.
I’m getting the feeling it’s a schemer on Alpha Legion level. Even if the enemy will not be found in this arc, perhaps we will find that person later.
> And onto more fun questions, who are you most excited to see more of this arc?
So far I did not even think of this. I’m captivated and enjoying the ride. Unexpected things and meetings and events. Seems like mystery chases mystery in this arc and I find it very intriguing, because I cannot guess what is really going on. It’s a lot different because this time I don’t know what comes next.

However there is one thing that is totally unrelated to all of this situation. Remember how Kars hinted what he discovered by unlocking the transformations and potential hidden in various races of Universe 7? I think he was hinting at combination of Saiyan and Ctarl Ctarl being strong. He showed for a moment his tail that seemed like a hybrid of Saiyan and Cartl Ctarl. He was not allowed to fight in Tournament of Power. On top of that he could learn new powers at the tournament. I think he might be stronger than he used to be. I’m curious about this. Perhaps one day there will be an opportunity to witness this.
>If you get the opportunity to focus on your own training, what areas are you hoping to focus on more?
Supreme Instinct maxing. I feel there might be more to this than it just being a simple “punch harder” power up. Once Karn truly masters and understand it he can think of how to creatively combine it with vast arsenal of his powers and abilities.

I know you can’t do everything all at once but it would be also nice to understand new power of Divine Dragon Force... but then again you can’t do all that at the same time.
>And speaking of others' training, whose training are you hoping to get to see the results of?
Leyas and Sarada, Kars.
> And lastly, which franchises are you hoping to see either make their debut or return to SCQ?
Maybe some things from Star Wars? I mean Star Wars is already in the quest and I like it how you add it into SCQ. Perhaps a little more of it would be nice too.

Also maybe a little bit of something from Magic the Gathering? I remember when Karn fought Nicol Bolas. That was interesting.

>Squeezing your hand harder and harder, putting more and more force into crushing this bastard here and now

>And that's it for this episode, everyone enjoy the ride?
Yes. Very much.
>What a day, you've been through a lot, do you remember everything that's happened so far?
I’m trying but I feel honestly like I don’t know what’s going on.
>Do you think tomorrow will be just as eventful for Karn, or will he finally get time to breathe, to THINK?
Things will keep happening. The only question is whether Karn will be aware of those events. If he will know he will be able to act. I don’t want to imagine what would happened if Karn did not show up to help find Ticho.
>Should we have Tatsu and Tomi's adventure be an epilogue/intermission before they return, or after?
I would like it for sure. But this also gives me fear of missing out. In this arc I feel that whenever we focus on one thing we miss another big thing happening elsewhere.

All good, you're not the incompetent who failed to build two whole transmissions. Unless you are, then I'm going to find you. And, well...
>"All the other kids with their pumped up kicks" ominously
Depends, on if Jiren's training is at its peak and for how long. He won't get a crazy Gohan-like boost, or even Krillin on Namek as that was the same, but a more one-time thing. Guru's boost brings you to that same level, but only then and there. It's isn't a transformation, despite what Budokai 1-3 would tell you.
Before he was Noob.
Or someone feared Freeza more than Cooler? Or, perhaps, someone had a preferential deal specifically with Freeza that Cooler ended?
The "Do you even train" memes are going to be gas.
Vegeta V will be a monster, when he's of age to be King.
Yes. Wonder what you missed, while that happened...?
>>6366633
It is a fun direction change for me, not following the more usual script with something like the ToP that has a more anime leaning story.
Perhaps. As for Kars, he's becoming STRONG. Learning how to mix and match his powers for their most effective combinations like an even stronger version of AFO.
Supreme Instinct will be important moving forward.
>>6366639
Chaya, while she doesn't love Vox, does hold him in certain regard. After all, it's his money funding her playground which has brought about her divinity. She does feel she owed him.
Glad you caught that with Turles, could be important for later...
Dangerous company indeed. She's not been idle, since you helped steal her kid from her. She's a spiteful, vengeful one that Komand'r.
It's a powerful skill. And ha. Bane's not surprised there are others who wield the Dark Side, but doesn't yet call them Sith.
Glad you enjoyed. Yes, things will continue to happen, this arc is a pressure cooker of background plots bubbling over and could quite possibly explode.
Very true. Every choice has consequences.
>>
>>6365773
>And are you ready to eventually confront Queen Komand'r directly, or will you let others handle that issue without your direct involvement?
I’m unsure about it. After witnessing capabilities of Henshin Breaker it seems that sending there someone like Turles, Ticho and/or even Freeza is like asking for defeat.
Maybe presence of Chilli, Milha, Raven or/and Caulifa may provide protection from it or cure it once someone is under this negative effect. Though it was not tested yet if their magic can really counter it.
However once you add Karn to the team situation changes.

Hypothetically our allies got hit by this technique and were forced back into their base forms. Looks like enemies are about to win, but Karn summons his stand and Divine Dragon Force says:
>„Karn, Turles, Meloka, Ticho, Raven and Freeza are nor affected by Henshin Breaker.”
Resisting their secret weapon would make the fight fair again and I don’t think Ticho’s mom would be happy about it.
I think if we want to win this particular fight, then Karn is necessary there.

Though I wonder what happens next? Even if this fight will end in victory, could it lead to new complications? If Blackfire lives after this she will probably hate us even more. If she dies… I don’t know what happens next. I really don’t know what can happen.
>All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
I can't wait.
>>
>>6367025
> If Blackfire lives after this she will probably hate us even more.
She should be grateful Karn's trying to settle this quietly as opposed to breaking his foot off in her ass publicly. Doubly so if she's actually being played like we assume she is.
>If she dies…
If she dies, it's gonna make Karn look like a fucking snake, the Saiyans in general thugs, the Tamaraneans weaklings, and Cooler a spineless retard who can't control his subordinates. In all cases, it serves to induce instability within the PTO, which could potentially be catastrophic.
>>
>>6367025
>are nor affected by Henshin Breaker.”
I made a typo. It was supposed to be:
>"Karn, Turles, Meloka, Ticho, Raven and Freeza are not affected by Henshin Breaker."

>She should be grateful Karn's trying to settle this quietly as opposed to breaking his foot off in her ass publicly.
I’m curious what she’s going to do. It seems like she’s out for blood.
>it's gonna make Karn look like a fucking snake, the Saiyans in general thugs, the Tamaraneans weaklings, and Cooler a spineless retard who can't control his subordinates.
Yes. That sounds very plausible. This could be the result.

Your Stand's LER power isn't quite that simple. The more complex and nuanced the change, the more it takes out of you. Making someone, say, KNEEL is a far cry from rewriting how an ability you don't understand works. And, as LER proved in its first fight against you: Denial and undoing to retry works better than complex changes to intricate systems. But will you be available at that time? You can only be most effectively in one place at a time.
>what can happen
What can happen indeed.

A very important question to that part of the equation. Is this happening because she ordered it? Or in spite of her orders against it?
>If she dies, it's gonna make Karn look like a fucking snake, the Saiyans in general thugs, the Tamaraneans weaklings, and Cooler a spineless retard who can't control his subordinates. In all cases, it serves to induce instability within the PTO, which could potentially be catastrophic.
Or even if she lives, depending on how things play out. Vox has recordings of interviewed Tamaraneans who fled from Azar to New Salda, and then the siege. And even then-princess Komand'r's own words on you facing the first Arbiter down on behalf of her people.

Can't just punch problems away. Even King Cold couldn't simply "asteroid hit your planet gg" all his own problems, and that was his go-to.
