Snuggling under the blanket and browsing 4chan.

Hot chocolate!
>what is the coldest you've ever been
When the power was out for awhile due to the snow storm in my apartment. It was cold despite all the additional layers.

I got to get one.

That is why I have a heater in mine. That transition it torture.

hot cocoa when it's chilly, coffee all other times

a dare challenge with friends on winter vacation to see how long each of us could submerge ourselves in a frozen lake.

>That is why I have a heater in mine. That transition it torture.
That's one of the reasons I love having central heating. Having the whole house be nice and warm when I'm finished showering after my run is pretty great.
I was informed last week that I have accumulated 3 weeks of vacation time, and that I need to use it in the next few months or lose it. So now I need to think of where to go.

Genuinely love building stuff out of snow. I've built a tunnel for my dog to run through and my greatest creation was an enormous snow gorilla
>favorite hot drink
Gotta be spiced black tea with 2 equals and a splash of milk
>what is the coldest you've ever been
When I was a little girl the private school would send us out to recess even when the windchill was below 0. I have a lot of memories of just sitting against the wall in my coat at recess in my own world (I'd zip the coat over my head and sit in my coat in darkness)

It's okay to display your anger.
Your feelings are real, you have them for a reason.
Don't be suffocated, don't be gaslit, if you feel rage, then it must be unloaded for the sake of your OWN mental hygiene.

That was a favorite of mine too. My favorite thing I ever did in the snow was build an igloo out of snowballs and dead branches. that was when I discovered on my own how much of a good insulator snow is.

My landlord has that for our building but he always keeps it low. He doesn't mind us using space heaters since he doesn't pay the electric.
Yes, take it before they take it from you! My old employer had that use it or lose it policy. The only difference was that they'd cash it out to you.

i want to complain.
i wish more jfashion brands offered bigger sizing. i want to buy lots of secret honey or noemie brand setups but none of them have big enough busts. the waists are fine. but they max out at like, 88-94cms in terms of bust. its killing me. no one makes noemie or secret honey dupes like they do liz lisa. i could get it altered, but getting waist tucked is easier than getting more bust room, id probably end up buying 2 very expensive dresses just to use one as scraps to get one altered bigger, which im not doing...

Tomorrow is going to end my wfh days ;_;. Me and my husband finally got the ice off our vehicles.
>favorite pastime when it's cold
Just sitting and reading. I finished reading a few Matt Haig stuff. The Midnight Library is the only one I've sort-of liked of his stuff. The Life Impossible and How to Stop Time was flat out dumb, just like his book about anxiety.
>favorite hot drink
Coffee obviously! I'm a coffee addict.
>what is the coldest you've ever been
I would say the time when I was running a trail 10k during a rainy late fall day. My clothes got soaked and I was shivering a lot. Thankfully I always carry spare clothes in my vehicle to change out of. It still took me a while to get warmed up after that!

Alright, Anonettes. It's time to ask the question...
Which of you have anAnimal Crossing New Horizons island I can visit?
..&& to answer these ones!
>cold weather pastime
I usually take to answering these from a "currently enjoying" angle rather than "all time favs". Unless the atmosphere/my mood is conducive to some SRS blogrambling.
This winter has been historically dry, so any small bit of snow we get I've been out in! My partner is also staying with me, and he doesn't really get a full four seasons of weather where he lives, so he loves the snow as well. He bought us a Switch 2 for (late) Christmas, so we've been on that quite a bit when it's just too windy outside for adventures. We did also just watch my brother in a ski joring competition the other day, and it made me really want to try it! I'd seen the events all around, but that was the first time I'd been. Why, a bonafide snowdeo it was, yep yep! I miss working with horses.
But yeah. In general I used to just wander the forest all day as a kid, come home with bright red tundra clown cheeks, burrs in my hair and boots soaking wet from """falling""" through the ice on the stream (stomping so I could look at the crystals that form between the top sheet and the splash near the rocks/waterfalls.. maybe nibble a bit. One time my best friend and I's mouths started bleeding profusely because the ice crystals were just that sharp. We let it drip into some snowballs we fashioned atop our ice-cones and make snowcones out of our own blood).

Snowboarding is great, but pricy unless you wanna get a job at the resort and ski bum it in exchange for lift passes. Though in recent years I've been thinking about switching chiefly back to skiing.
Warn baths of course, since I haven't yet achieved my "Own land with a personal hotspring uncovered by [the technology a community member is working on to take satellite imagery and find untapped/undiscovered hot springs to bring more of a bathing culture to the area and to revitalize local economies in partnership with his nonprofit that prioritizes an eco-centric approach for tourism --keeping rivers clean for watersport, holding summer camps that help kids build a respect and fondness for nature, so on-- rather than relying on new developments of chain stores or flashy entertainment meccas]" dream!

>shiver memories
Wind does me in. I can handle a slow-burn kind of frostbite, and my legs never get too cold, but if my underlayers aren't tight to my skin and my outer layer doesn't have a good shell, the wind weaseling its way up into my nooks and crannies is an overstimulating kind of uncomfortable that tips the tism from "Just ignore all Extraverted Sensing until you're starving/about to piss yourself/missing an arm" etc. superpower back to gossamer-sensibilities disability.
An early morning drive back from a music festival with my cousin in my mom's old Jeep with the soft roof taken off comes to mind. I was just so tired and the wind was so loud and prickly, but I felt too indebted to him for letting me sleep in his tent with him and his friends to ask him to put the roof back on. I was a tween so I was trying to prove I wasn't just an annoying little cousin anymore, aha. But also we had to leave early the morning of the last day because we were apparently on a flood plain and woke up to a few inches of water in our tent and the tent itself trying to suffocate us as it blew down on top of us from the Chicago winds. So I hadn't started out in the best condition, sensory wise.
Makes me remember a lot of rides home from school like that in the same Jeep; up the canyon, so the deep shadowy corners of the switchbacks that don't see sun all day would be pretty chilly, even in the summer. The exhaustion makes it feel like Geneva-disapproved torture, for real. Without the sleepiness it's just annoying, but it's like overstim and sleep dep tactics at the same time...

I had Stardew on my old Switch and played tha fuuuuuuuucc out of it! My ex-common lawhusband kept it though since he paid for most of the games, but I lost all my data. Pokemon, Skyrim, Okami, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, AC, Witcher, etc. ... Sadge!! We're on decent terms so I'm sure someday I could arrange for a custody transfer, lmao. But he moved to the PNW and I think all the meaningful data transfer stuff between systems requires you to physically be in the same room at first, so it won't be anytime soon.

nta but that reminds me of a similar experience i had. I was with my older cousin and he invited me to a college party. he had just gotten a car with a drop top roof and the ride was around an hour long. it was so cold and there was so much wind but I didn't want to say anything to look uncool so I just fell asleep. an hour later and I wake up after having my hair blown around and my hair was unlike anything I had ever experienced before or since. also there may have been some drinking involved.

Any snow related sports activities are so absurdly expensive now that it's becoming something only the really rich can enjoy more than once. Everything is getting Disney pricing now.
It's one of the reasons why I turned to camping in winter is because has an expensive buy in, but after that the cost of your hobby is just food, gas and maybe a gps subscription if you want it.

is there a specific way to find a boyfriend from another country? like any specific apps or ways to find one? i dont want to seem like im just using him to get out of the country and i would genuinely like to find a partner but it would be a great bonus if he were from abroad and we made plans to move to his country. im not sure if id even do it because im very close to my family who wont leave and it is my home. but i dont want to spend another minute in my country.

>like any specific apps or ways to find one?
any apps geared towards that are total scams and people looking for human trafficking victims. plus it's already pretty much impossible to form a real connection with dating apps for any gender
i think best bet is hoping to find someone on a game, chat or board, unless you have the money to travel somewhere for a week or two (and still hope they still keep in contact afterwards)

Hey kpop! I'm assuming you made it back safely since you are posting? I'm so jealous you never had to see snow other than that occasion. This winter storm we got here is very annoying. At least now my husband sees why I prepare for emergencies than just a simple gasoline generator. All we used it for was to power space heaters for rooms we were using. Everything else was back-up batteries. He sees why I have that back-up battery bank he so hates. But I am glad those two elderly couple's generators, the ones I did so much overtime for, came into good use for them during this storm.

He's so indecisive! Tell him to hurry up and not let your PTO go to waste! I know he has to plan as well for his, but he has to consider yours as well! I like it where I"m at now in that at least it any unused PTO at the end of the year goes into sick days, which we get 7 sick days per the year. Any added to it is great.
I've just resorted back to used to do: just buy a box of plain instant and a box of fruity flavor. Then, use one of each. I was doing some honey and cinnamon in mine for a while but I just got food fatigue with it.

>He's so indecisive! Tell him to hurry up and not let your PTO go to waste!
He can be like that at times though when something is routine or when he's in the moment he's very decisive. Sometimes he doesn't like plan things out months ahead in advance, but when things draw nearer he's easier to take action. It took some prodding, but he did end up suggesting we could go to Japan, China or some place in Europe.
Japan or China sound interesting, but since he said he'd be fine with Europe I thought of the idea of a Lisbon to Berlin road trip. Another idea is a tour of Spain and we could spend a few days with my mother's family at their vineyard. Ever since I went there on vacation with my parents I've always wanted to go back and spend more time in Barcelona.
>I was doing some honey and cinnamon in mine for a while but I just got food fatigue with it.
I never thought of trying honey before. I always added cinnamon sugar, but now I think maybe making an infused honey for oatmeal would be an interesting idea.

I felt it was really great. It's hard not to come on now when I'm up due to his snoring, and being up late at night just gives me the urge to since it's what I've always done at night time when I was working at the group home. I cannot even do anything else because ADHD, and if I were to take the meds at this time, I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep like I was able to for around 2 hours. I tried the non-stims but they never helped.
I've been back ever since the hack and I got curious on how everyone was doing here. Then I lurked on the old generals I used to post on as well and started posting there again. I was doing good on barely coming on, but now, here I am again often since I'm constantly wondering how everyone is doing. I would like to completely cut out 4chan again. It was doing really good for my own mental health. But, I cannot stop wondering how everyone is doing.
It hate not being on FB at times though since I'd like to know what's going on at my old church due to judgmental assholes. But I cannot go back there after what happened this summer. I'm thankful the pastor there is non-judgmental and was kind to bless me and my husband's marriage after our court ceremony at the church.

To me, it wasn't as good, but I was trying to cut out the added sugar in the fruity packets a bit since those have some added sugar in them. The amount is insignificant for me though, but I still wanted to cut it out. But, after awhile, I just didnt' like it as much, ended up with the food fatigue with it, so I went back. it was obvious that nona was setting a legitimate boundary past a point. but to start it can be hard to tell on /r9k/ or with girls in general. because of the coquettish "don't hit on me silly boys! stop inquiring about my fetishes and my body count and the color of my panties!" game where they really just want you to ask three more times so they can save a little face pretending to go "sigh, fiiine" as if they were worn down into oversharing or being lewd, not that they were dying to from the start but want to have their cake and eat it too by maintaining the air of classy fem who wouldn't just spill all her secrets and private details at the first hint of interest but who also gets to benefit from the kind of attention sharing those things attracts.

>God I know how much that is like with the doing things down at the last second. It's cool though he would like to go to other countries
He's been to a number of interesting countries but always on assignment, so he is not opposed to going abroad. But I've now given him the small task of making lists of cities, itineraries and things to do in those countries so we can debate what to do or not, like what I'm doing for trips through Europe now.
>Esp spending time with family.
That's the weird part. My mother didn't leave on the best term but that's kind of healing now after the funeral last year and they seem to be a bit more welcoming to us now.
And having a vineyard! Do they make their own wine?
Yes, they grow grapes to make tempranillo. Most of their land is dedicated to growing to supply a local wine co-op, but they do make some wine for themselves as well as grow a number of different things as well as raising some animals. I tried some this morning and it was kind of alright. I can see it being something that would eventually get boring if it was much more frequent. Maybe adding a tart flavor would make it better.

That's a good way to get him off his butt, lol. At least he can have say in the matter. It's good that you two can talk those things out. It is better that you two can compromise on things.
If you two go there, do you plan on taking advantage of the wine they make? lol. It is sad that sometimes it takes a funeral to get family back on good terms. I've seen it on my dad's side of the family where they constantly had arguments.
The thing with the oatmeal is that sometimes, it just seems that it's better to go with the like and familiar.
I'm glad I won, but it's not really something I want. I just blindly enter a lot of giveaways on the site. Thankfully the one I won is a Kindle ebook, not a physical one. I'm trying to keep the physical collection down to only ones I enjoy the most. Finding a treasure like that book you found can be a real treat sometimes. Hidden gems can be fun to read.

I vaguely remember. Are you the one I told to say get it because it's annoying to your partner? If so, great for you! Even if it isn't sleep apnea (my husband's is obstructive), at least you got something to go on. It'll help out your health in the long run so you can spend years together with your significant other.
>>83783585
I'm not worried. My job is stable, and hopefully I'll get on disability since the third submission was sent earlier this month and my lawyer is on it. Though, I really suggest people take whatever. Even the hospital I work at has ghost jobs.
>>
>>
>>83784234
Who doesn't? Sure, it'll be a major hit in our income, but we don't have any debt since I paid everything off. Not to mention I still have all my money in savings, CD's, in various retirement accounts and another account with all the money I made selling my house to my aunt. I may have to work part time, but I'd rather prefer having the time than money.
I don't think people realize how broken I actually am. The only reason I can wfh every once in awhile is because I have ADA accommodations. This cold only makes it worse for me.
>>
>>
>>83784331
It depends on a lot of things like location and area you are in. It tends to be really stressful in the hospital setting. It also tends to pay the best though if money is your thing. I won't say that you should or shouldn't. For me, I've just been in the field too long and I'm burned out so badly and I'm severely broken from it. My back hurts since I got osteoarthritis in it. It doesn't help that my knees are already shot. Having RA doesn't help with that either. Most patients now-a-days are obese or more, so if you have to move them, it'll be a lot of weight. I've lost teeth because of getting hit by patients.
But on the plus side, it can be fulfilling knowing that you are helping people out. The CNA doesn't pay much, so I would suggest actually going for your LPN license at minimum, even if you just get your CNA.
Now depending on setting is where it's either stressful or not. In the group homes I was at, it was ezpz and it was just making sure the patients are okay. There are certifications now that CNAs can give out basic medications. They still cannot give out IV or IM medications, nor can they do something like turn to the dosage a patient on for say their Lantus or Ozempic. However, pills, otic, optic, etc. they can.
In the hospital, it can be really stressful based upon patient load and their personality. You can have some that are very demanding (e.g. calming a patient down when they are demanding their medications), while others chilled out. Since you are the lowest person on the totem pole, you'll be responsible for most basic things like changing bedding, bed chucks, cleaning up messes, and just generally helping the patient out of bed.
Like I said, I'm not going to say go for it or not.
>>
>>83784331
>>83784470
I forgot to say: in these times, you may very well need to get whatever can be offered up. CNA is a steady position and are needed everywhere. So if you really need a job, you can usually get one.

I don't want it to come off that Scrubs is a layabout or rudderless. He's just new to the practice of making long term plans. Up until last year he'd been at a job for a long time that didn't allow him the luxury of planning out his day, but now he's slowly coming to grips with the idea that he can relax and make plans.
>It's good that you two can talk those things out. It is better that you two can compromise on things
While I get what you're saying, I prefer the term "agree", rather than "compromise". Compromise has the connotation that one is not completely satisfied with the affair while "agree" implies we debated and reached a consensus which pleases both of us. If I want A, but he wants B and we don't discuss what we like about each we'll never discover that C works for both of us.
>If you two go there, do you plan on taking advantage of the wine they make?
Absolutely! If I could find a way to send several cases home cheaply I'd do it without second thought.
>It is sad that sometimes it takes a funeral to get family back on good terms.
True, but I'm happy that it happened.
>thankfully the one I won is a Kindle ebook,

>Hidden gems can be fun to read.
I thought that one was a dad book at first until I gave it a chance. When you realize much of the secret programs during the cold war were things like testing The Album that Makes You Gay Instantly or testing psychic powers by electrocuting twins it helps you to realize that such a frightening period of human history was in fact very stupid.

For me, compromising is just coming to an agreement that benefits both the most. But I get what you are saying.
Lol, that would be great if you could smuggle some of it home. That'd be plenty of good homebrew for you two. My mom's was always the best. I really loved her elderberry brews.
The book is a basic mystery in which some high school students take a trip to a remote cabin in the middle of winter after one of them returns after being away for many years. A person thinks they are trespassing and attacks them. The person is heavily wounded and flees. Somehow, this guy is involved in their pasts including the murder of two of the teenager's fathers.
It is really interesting yet scary the amount of programs our government used to have to investigate things like that. I wonder how many are still unknown. The experiments done in the past though did produce some interesting redults in the area of psychology. Then, ethics came around fir the good though. I'd hate to see a modern Little Albert.

you can dress modestly and be fashionable. same way you can dress skimpy and look tacky. i'm assuming you are uncomfortable even showing shoulders or belly? i'd invest in a nice white or black blouse and a couple of skirts or dresses to layer over. i find wearing one with a pattern already makes a look way more stylish, plaid especially is very cute and classy, but you could do some high contrast like picrel.

adding even more to this
what makes picrel in my opinion look outdated isn't at all the cut of either pieces, it's definitely the mix of patterns and colors. striped tshirts are already very out and unless you pair them with something much more youthful like a jeans (skirt) overall you run the risk of looking older. pair that with a beige skirt and tanned belt and it's a recipe for disaster. unless you are going for the 40yo mom look.
i'm assuming from the post that you want to be approached, right? like, the preference for modest clothes comes from a place of insecurity around your body and not fear that you will be bothered if you wear anything else?
i used to be very insecure too about all parts of my body. even nowadays, i don't show my shoulders off much. but there's a good chance you just haven't found patterns/cuts that suit you. looking into your personal essence might help determine what clothes will work for you and not against you.
finally, and this is for every nona and anon, don't limit the fashion you consume/are inspired by to the country you reside in or the time period we live on. there's literally nothing useful to find in references that weren't made for you. it took years for me to dabble in fashion because as a gamine, nothing looked good on me. that is, until i shifted my inspiration from whatever my peers considered beautiful to japanese and 60s fashion. i might get comments that i dress like a child but >i< know this is what makes me feel confident and stylish.
also yes, this is also valid for plus size girls. you can also look stylish and chubby and "fat" is not a single body type. your facial features are also important when deciding what to wear.
alright rambling over. here's a neat guide. just remember these aren't >rules<, they're guidelines.

Sounds like an older book, or something hearkening to older stories. Is it straightforward or de constructive?
>It is really interesting yet scary the amount of programs our government used to have to investigate things like that.
There is an utterly baffling amount of experiments based on "what if we found a way to make them gay," because that was the worst thing you could be in 1957. Obviously it was step one in the ultimate plan to make a mind control signal, but it's humorous to think the government was seriously investigating the Gay Ray or sending people to sit in an abandoned house and try to find ghost.

ai is good at recognising stereotypical faces. brazilian faces are anything but.
>>83796664
a long long long time ago i posted half of my face to explain my dilemma. brazilians are very mixed which leads to a wild assortment of faces. mix that with me also being half portuguese/spanish and romani, also mixed people, and you have even more traits to pull from.
either way, we are still governed by the european beauty standards. that made me very uncomfortable since despite being considered white here, i didn't fit any of them, and i was pretty much the ugliest one, even when i tried doing makeup. it didn't look good on my face.
so imagine my surprise once i found out that gene rng lottery had given me pretty much the entire japanese beauty standard. even things i used to hate myself for, my hooded lids, round face, bulbous tall nose... so then, when i started following makeup tutorials from them instead, suddenly i became pretty here too. which was and has been both a blessing and curse to someone who grew up being bullied for being the weird ugly girl.

i think we all need rejection therapy.
i was hit with the desire of going street snapping recently, complimenting people with unique styles and making some sort of content out of it. but i'm hit with so many thoughts of why i shouldn't. you're going to be alone, you're going to look weird filming in public with an outfit that already draws too much attention, what if there's no people with style around and i just look like an idiot? not a single one about the good possibilities that could happen.

Just mention is passing that it's a thing you want to do but you have concerns about doing it alone. I'd be very surprised if you didn't get a volunteer. Most guys I know would flip to be able to spend a few hours with a cute girl working on a social media project, especially if they don't have to be on film themselves. And then when you're done you can buy them lunch.

It's more than just a January thing. There's studies that show that time perception speeds up as we age from multiple reasons like our brains don't need to absorb and consolidate new information since a lot of things are familiar. It's one reason I do not envy young people. I hated everything going slow.
Our perception of time also slows down when we're dealing with pain like I do every winter. I just hate how broken down I am. The worst part of everything is that I'm sounding like a boomer. In a year or two, I'll be lecturing young people about how I had to walk uphill both ways to and from school in 10ft of snow, and I liked it.

yes! but the original topic was how january feels slow in comparison right?
since most people are away from routine (school/work) since december, its natural that january ends up feeling like two whole decades. money gets tighter too.
>Our perception of time also slows down when we're dealing with pain like I do every winter.
make sure to stay warm and cozy. wishing you the best! i have terrible back pain all year round and i know how debilitating it can feel.

i'll look into it, but i don't think there are. i don't live in a very academic area and most art schools are concentrated in a very specific neighbourhood.
i'm pretty sure i could film by myself, not ideal but could work. i might look into having a female friend with me, just so that it feels less awkward to look overdressed and film in public.

I've always heard I was a creep or a stalker because I remembered things someone said. Like remembering something someone said a year ago, or even a few months ago. I've had people joke that I dedicated a shrine to them. It feels refreshing when I've met other people who can remember things about me or things I've said long ago. It is nice to be able to remember a bunch of things about what someone likes to help pick gifts for them. That's one thing I consider myself especially good at.

in the total opposite. terrible memory. i'll have to constantly ask close friends when their birthday is, i tell the same story multiple times to the same person and i sometimes forget about a story they told me last week. i feel guilty about it, but i know there's nothing i can really do about it.
i'm still a good gift giver id say though. i am good at building taste profiles in my mind, and guessing what someone might like because of tastes i already associate with them or their aesthetic.
i've also said this before but i do wonder what it is about me that makes people have so much trouble. i think im so stereotypical, it should be easy to guess what i enjoy.

easiest one to gift would be that other fashion/pink nona that swings by every so often. she has similar taste to me.
tomo i think would like a new game, maybe gym stuff since she's going now, but im not a gym person so it would be hard to pick something out. maybe a gift she and andy could enjoy.
scara (fly high) would have liked anything genshin/anime gacha.
florida would probably like something she could use outdoors.
the other nonas i don't know personally enough to build a taste profile for yet. and lol, yes id assume its a bit intimidating to buy me anything fashion. but the easy answer really is to just get me anything pink, girly, or that mixes cute and creepy.
i still keep the plague nurse plush someone got off my throne a long time ago tucked in bed with me every day lol.
>>
>>83803053
>But what flavor of creeped out?
There are the ones I could find...
1) Behavioral Creepiness: Socially inappropriate actions (staring, breaking personal space, unpredictable behavior, inappropriate laughter).
2) Physical Appearance: Disheveled appearance, poor hygiene, or specific features like intense eyes.
3) Contextual/Environmental: Being alone in dark places or witnessing someone out of place in a social scene.
4) Cognitive/Uncanny: The "Uncanny Valley" effect (human-like but not quite human) or unpredictable, strange behaviors.
I think a blend of all four might be appropriate.

I didn't arrange what I said well. Sorry. For me, I'm not away from routine during that time. It's that it is miserable this time of year. Because of that, it drags.
I've already been dealing with the back pain this morning and now I'm hurting more and have some brain fog because the power went out for the third time this week around 5:30am, so I had to get the generator started to get the space heaters going to keep the house temp up above freezing. At least now the power is back up and I'm doing better. At least the house is warm again and I can shed some of these layers.

I've always been a tomboy and never had a reason to get into fashion (my school had uniform and a strict no makeup policy, plus I didn't know many people outside of it). I've thought about getting into it for a while but I don't know, I can't bring myself to. It just feels wrong when I've spent my whole life solely dressing in t-shirts and jeans/shorts. Plus I'm not attractive and I'd feel embarassed if someone were to make fun of me if I did dress up, at least now I can be like 'wellll I didn't try because I know I'm ugly and I don't care.'
I don't know if I should give up on trying to become comfortable with the idea of dressing nicer. I found a blouse on Vinted that's largely plain but with a few embellishments that make it quite nice but I feel so embarassed and wrong at the idea of wearing something as basic as that that I don't think I can. I think my sister will like it so I can give it to her or a second-hand shop at least because honestly if I've been wanting to put more care into how I look since I was like, what, sixteen? And it's years on and I've made no progress in feeling better about it I don't think there's any hope.
Sorry for the blogpost, it's been on my mind a lot.

I was in almost the same exact position as you at one point.
>Plus I'm not attractive and I'd feel embarassed if someone were to make fun of me if I did dress up, at least now I can be like 'wellll I didn't try because I know I'm ugly and I don't care.'
This was my thought process in high school too. I was an unattractive, pimply-faced and had no style or idea how to dress in anything that made me look good. It wasn't until university when I realized that beauty is something that requires a lot of effort, maintenance and learning to carry myself confidently. Once I put in the effort it became a source of confidence that fed into every other part of me.
Beauty is something that radiates outward. You could put fancy designer clothes but if you look like you're not even comfortable in your own skin then you'll look terrible. Find a style you like and are passionate about and make that your own. If you're taking care of yourself and dressing how you want then people will see that and find that beautiful. Find a side of your personality that your style plays into and embrace that too.
>And it's years on and I've made no progress in feeling better about it I don't think there's any hope.
There is always hope. The fact you asked showed there is hope in you. You've just have to not give in to doubt.

It's because I look more towards the positive than anything else. Yeah, things suck. My back is killing me and nothing is helping rn including a heating pad. My knees are flat out done, and I need a double knee replacement. The world has been less exciting since I got back on my ADHD meds over a year ago. My job is very stressful and I get called at home to do some job related tasks sometimes. The drama at work sucks as well. My husband gets mad that this happens and we end up in arguments. I get really moody over the dumbest shit. The weather is shit and very cold rn. This neighborhood sucks because it's noisy at times compared to when I lived in my bumfuck nowhere home 3 miles away. My parents are a bunch of assholes who turned their backs on me and made people be against me when I tried to help them twice with the abuse from my brother.
So yeah, a lot of things suck. But you know what's good? I have a loving husband that is there with me, even during my worst days where I'm crying in pain. He allows me my space when I need it, like at the end of the work day when I need to go down to my scream pillow and just scream and cry it out. I love my in-laws. I can still move around despite my knees (though running is no longer allowed :( ). Despite life being more boring with the ADHD meds, I found my old passion of reading. I found other passions that were not just coping mechanisms for my ADHD. I've learned to slow down in life. I've come to terms with a lot of trauma that occurred in my life. I would say I'm much more happier now even just two years ago.
Your outlook will influence you a lot. I know it sounds like normie advice like "b urself XD", but there's a lot of research in it.

Either a chemical imbalance in your brain that you should be discussing with a psychiatrist... or feeling this way is a deliberate choice for you.
Lying to yourself about the world is the easy option, the coward's option. Admitting to yourself that you were wrong about the world is a hard option that would take strength and courage which you currently don't have.

This world actually looks like shit 99% of the time compared to the colors we see in art and movies. Sure, you can cherry pick photoshopped, saturated pictures and videos (as most are on Youtube or online) or the rare 1% of nature that is stunning, but most of it is completely mundane and dull. And there's animal shit everywhere, bugs and ticks and mosquitoes. What kind of person walks into that and is like OHHH MY GOD THIS IS SO GOOOD?

Is that supposed to be dull? I'd love to have a leisurely walk through there, breathe the fresh air and listen to the birds, maybe find a nice place to sit down and eat a sammich and read a book. God, I love this world.
Make an appointment with a psychiatrist and speak with them about your feelings. There is something imbalanced in your brain. They can't fix it, but they can help you deal with it.
>>
>>83813739
Yes, completely dull. And if you ever studied near death experiences where people leave their bodies they will all remark and confirm how ugly and dull our reality is compared to the "true reality" and our real home.
I feel people who think the shit down here is satisfying are not aware of their true spiritual heritage and just walk around accepting things as they are despite them lacking so much.

I wanted to have a magical destiny growing up. That I would learn unusual abilities, become a witch, telekinesis, mediumship. And I was very passionate about it but nothing ever happened for me. I have met people though blessed with what I consider to be supernatural gifts like this (most are 99% delusional schizos, but there is small handful of people who seem to be able to tap into things) so... basically I am forced to accept that I am not special and just a random NPC out of 7 billions.
>>83813810
There's nothing schizophrenic about researching death. There's even research about MEDIUMSHIP and the scientists came to the conclusion that some of these mediums were able to get information they shouldn't have been able to know.

In art and fantasy nature is glorious with extremely saturated, rich colors. No plastic laying around. No weird tourists shitting it up. (Almost) never any nasty insects that will bite you and crawl all over your food to lay fly eggs into it. Our nature can't compete.

>And if you ever studied near death experiences where people leave their bodies they will all remark and confirm how ugly and dull our reality is compared to the "true reality" and our real home.
The contentment which people report from near death experiences is in reuniting with their loved ones, or in uniting with a higher power.
Do you your loved ones bring you the contentment that you seek, or are interactions with other people dull too? Does a higher power bring you the contentment that you seek, or have the religions and spiritualities which you've tried been dull too? If everything is dull then you're barking up the wrong tree with near death experiences.
Something in your head is dulling life, and that something should not be there. You weren't meant to be this way. Speak with a professional, and don't disdain them just because they are worldly, for you are worldly as well.

I'm really thankful for my husband, and for the people who pushed me into the relationship. That includes this gen who gave me that final push. I was very misandrist due to trauma issues. I have a really good therapist that continues to help me. That's the thing with therapists: you really do got to find a good one, as most are terrible.
I don't think I can really be much help to you, nor can I really tell you what your problem is. I don't know how your support system is. I can only tell you how I find life fulfilling and enjoy it despite it being shit. Sometimes prospective changes can help a lot such as looking at the things you listed in >>83813611. I know is a "no duh" thing, but you're really going to have to sit down with yourself and discuss with yourself why this is. Just like with the pic you just posted: >>83813706. Why is it dull? Are you focusing on too much of the negative like "le bugs?"
Do you do any diary writing? I find it very useful to just get things down. I still write one with a pen and paper one that I do often. Even if it's just random shit like "la de da! Okay, I don't have anything to say." It helps to look back later to see what your mindset was. I used to read some of my old ones I did as a teenager (before I burned them due to the cringe, lol) and saw my mind set. It just helps to get things out. Even if you think they're not related to your problem. You got too much baggage. Unload some of it by writing whatever is on your mind. Just do it a little bit at a time, or you'll wear yourself down. Easy does it. First things first.

Yes, love is really important in most NDE experiences but the fact that people generally describe the out of body world as 1000000x more beautiful and peaceful than life on Earth and feel terror or fight against being send back is very common. I even remember the tale of a man who after he had seen the sunrise in the afterlife felt depressed seen the earthly sunrise, cause it felt so painfully dull to him after he has seen the sunrise in his true home. And sunrises are one of the most beautiful things this planet has to offer visually.
Even when you say love. Almost everyone will say they feel love over there that is like a supernova sun levels of emotion compared to a little candle light of love they feel here, even for their own children. Everything we have on Earth is like 0,0000001% of what seemingly awaits outside of this body.
>Something in your head is dulling life
Are you sure? Or is something in your head making you accept a place and status that is far beneath your true heritage and beauty? Am I wrong or you?
>>
>>83813853
I believe that you "kpopnoona" are an immortal soul with vast powers too and far more than what Earth possibly made you out to be right now.

I don't want you to get dragged down in my rant and frustrations here. You can't help me but it is noble of you to try. I want you and your husband to have a good future, please just skip my posts and don't let any of it seep into your heart.

WHO are they loving? The same human beings they loved in this life, or the same higher power they loved in this life, no? It's only the intensity that changes, not the givers of love or recipients of love.
Do you feel that you've found the right religion or spirituality for you, the right higher power for you to love and be loved by? Do you feel that you've found the right relationships, the right people for you to love and be loved by? Or is all of this dulled too?
You won't find something in death if you haven't found it in life.
>>
>>83813930
Yes, they love the same people. And because I love people in this life too I haven't killed myself yet nor attempted (despite having researched the means to perfection, I know how to do it painlessly and with 99,9% guarantee of death and no harm done to anyone else) because I don't have the right to destroy the futures and lives of people around me.
>Do you feel that you've found the right religion or spirituality for you, the right higher power for you to love and be loved by?
There is no religion or spiritual view that can explain what is going on in here in life without extreme levels of cope. It's a brutal and hard place, just begin with billions of animals slaughtered each year.
>Do you feel that you've found the right relationships, the right people for you to love and be loved by?
I am very loved but the fact that this isn't enough for me is a huge humiliation by this universe. It only adds to the desire to exit as fast as possible.
>You won't find something in death if you haven't found it in life.
Why though? Most are completely happy and at peace as soon as they leave their painful, tight, heavy human body. Even people who attempt suicide usually feel endless peace and homecoming.

Oh come on, anon. My previous job was a psychiatric nurse :). I'm not in it now, but I do have some experience. Yes, you may have some disorder going on. But I'm not the one who can say that since I don't know you nor can I really assess you. For all I know, you may have read too much into this NDE during a manic episode, and now you are coming down from it, and your outlook changed when you started into the depressive episode. But, I don't have all this information such as what started you in this mindset you have right now? Was there a particular event going on in your life? Again, diary writing is helpful here. People with mental issues are not the best historians of their own life histories (myself included).
Though, with the shrooms, I will say there is a lot of research being done right now that is looking into the therapeutic effects of microdosing. You'll be surprised how ketamine therapy is working with people with depression! Or some of the effects of hallucinogens with PTSD! Though the effects are temporary, they're showing promise! But, that will be something you may need to discuss with yourself and with a professional. I heavily suggest you do talk with a professional if that is a path you want to take.
But only you can help yourself. Again, take the diary suggestion. It'll be helpful to you even if it has nothing to do with your current problem. You'll find unloading really helpful, even if it doesn't seem so right now. Just try it for a little bit at a time. Again, easy does it!
Okay, husband is getting annoyed with me not listening to him. He's a /k/ommando so he knows a bit about *chan culture. Hope I could be a little bit of help.

>Oh come on, anon. My previous job was a psychiatric nurse :)
Oh. Wow! Okay, then moping anons should be child's play to your psyche. I definitely don't have manic episodes (sadly?) and I have been fixated on death and near death experiences since childhood, which has been a long time ago. I wanted to try Ketamine funny enough cause it mimics near death experiences. And I use an online diary of sorts. Thanks I'll look into it.

Theatrical body language is employed equally in both but in the clips shown they don't have a microphone, so all language has to be conveyed nonverbally. I haven't had acne since I was a teen and I was prescribed actual medication for it back then but I've had lots of whiteheads under the skin (if that makes sense?) that just refused to heal for years so I bought this and have been putting it on after my showers. A few of these underskin whiteheads have come to the surface as actual whiteheads. Is this what's actually meant to happen? It's been so long since I've had to treat myself for acne that I can't remember if it had to get worse (ie become a surface whitehead) before it healed or if my skin isn't reacting well and is breaking out more because of the cream.

Seems like the best place for it. I was going in for a teeth cleaning and they wanted to sell me on teeth whitening and then tried to gaslight me into saying my wisdom teeth would reduce my jaw pain if they removed them.
I've never had any jaw pain except when my wisdom teeth initially grew in, I don't have trouble cleaning my teeth with them there, and my teeth are white enough already. No doubt those procedures would be denied by my insurance and then I'd coincidentally have to pay out of pocket for these.

Just found my foid's diary after she attempted to escape the Breeding Cube. She is in intensive foid rehabilitation and behavioral reprogramming right this second.
Here's the last entry:
>Breeding Cube diary entry, Day #3987
>My assigned Breeding Moid allowed me to have milk instead of water in my oats this morning.
>Knitted a blazer for the 10th babe I've done my duty to produce.
>Repopulating Earth with the Aryan race is going well.
>Watched my allotted 1 hour of Foidtube content, it was mainly about what to expect of life outside the Breeding Cube after my "15 years-15 children" duty is complete.

Thanks everyone for the cookie talk. It convinced me to buy an entire box of Chips-a-hoy and I ate them throughout the day since I have no willpower. Looks like I'm eating very little tomorrow and doing some very heavy cardio.

I'm so happy I don't have much of a sweet tooth. One piece of candy or fruit is all I need to feel satisfied if I even have a craving.t. recently devoured 3k calories of mouth burningly spicy fried chicken
>>
>>
>>83833596
That's basically me with anything super spicy. Though at least with spicy food my own body eventually (forcibly) wants to tap out (momentarily). Fuck just talking about this is making me re-consider my plans for the rest of the night.
I'll resist if you can too.
>>
>>83833625
That is the problem with sweets is that your body craves the simple carbs from it so much you'll eat more than intended. I've stopped many times but I had a moment of weakness. So, it's back to the grind tomorrow. It'll just be one day of breakfast and nothing else during the day. Then, back to normal eating. I just find this works best for me.

Yeah short fasts like that are nice and are definitely helpful for rewiring some things. I've tried longer fasts occasionally and while they do make me plan my meals for the days after to autistic perfection, they mess up my cycle and obviously suck in general.

>I meant that it's unethical to try to push someone who is potentially scared and/or in pain.
Highly unethical, and I hope every one of them gets giardia from their tap water. When I told Scrubs about this he told me places like that sometimes like to double dip and get both insurance and the patient to pay.
>>83832080
Worth a check since I usually skip that aisle.
>>83832501
I have appreciation for your fixation on my demonstration of sophistication in conversation.
>>83833521
>Looks like I'm eating very little tomorrow and doing some very heavy cardio
If you got some enjoyment out of it and it doesn't affect you too badly tomorrow, then I'd say it was worth it.

I always like the sense of accomplishment from fasting. I've been wanting to try intermittent fasting doing like eating everything within 4 hours, but I don't think I'd have the willpower to do that long term. Not to mention I cannot stomach eating that much except for the sweets like I mentioned earlier. Also, I'm afraid of looking too skinny like anorexic. So, I try to do strength training despite me not liking it.
>>
>>
>>83833714
It depends on the person, but intermittent fasting works well for me when I do it. I don't do it year round though and also if I break don't take it it too seriously or put myself down. I'd say it's worth a try at least.
>So, I try to do strength training despite me not liking it.
That's good, it'd be better if you can find something you enjoy a little though. Like Pilates or boxing or something

Weight vests are great, turn already enjoyable walks into an adjustable cardio machine. Darebee's a nice resource, I use it too, but if you really dislike straight weightlifting more fun forms of growing muscle exist.

I really enjoy going on hikes on trails with it. The hills really get my heart rate up. There are some here where I live, but they're not much. I cannot go on the trails right now because it's just dangerous from all the ice and snow. I may have to try a backpack later since I've read it helps with our core. Though I am limited on income at the moment thanks to beginning of the year stuff.
What other forms are there? I've tried standard gym equipment when I had a gym membership for a short period. I didn't like that at all. I bought a used treadmill off someone for around $50 when I had some extra income to make up for that. It's just that doing the basics like push-ups and squats are just what I enjoy the most, but I don't really enjoy it.
I thought about boxing since it sounds like it's fun, and I know someone who does it. The high cost of the membership is what sets most of it back. She says it's $100 per month for it, even more for personal training. The reason they do it is for self-defense, which is what I would want to do. I don't have the income for it. She also mentioned there's a lot more work involved than what most people think like proper form, foot work, proper punching mechanics, etc.
>>
>>83833842
Boxing is great but like 50% of that budget is going to the whole experience and gear while the other 50% is just having a good trainer a nice group of people to do it with. If you want to do at least the bodyweight exercises your trainer would make you do alone look on youtube, focusing mainly on core strength exercises and proper bodyweight squats. Don't worry about punching form yet if you don't have something to punch into. If you eventually do sign up for a close you'd probably mog most beginners by just being able to squat so often alone.
Leaning into that, a lot of Pilates exercise routines are up for free on youtube too and don't require anything special. Just be more careful not to injure yourself but you'll likely be fine.
Youtube is the craziest free resource right now, while having equipment and proper teachers is extra helpful you can make do without it so well without them. If you can afford something you maybe don't already have though, it should be resistance bands.

>The high cost of the membership is what sets most of it back. She says it's $100 per month for it, even more for personal training.
If you save up quite a bit of money, you can do some of the fitness aspect of it. Meta Quest has several boxing games on it like Thrill of the Fight which is fun to play and has virtual sparring to practice things such as blocking. One problem it has though is you can video yourself doing the punches and see they're sloppy yet in the game, you're knocking the opponent out.
Take things slow and learn how to keep your guard at all times even if you are punching. Just don't go throwing a bunch of wild punches. Youtube videos like >>83833913 said are helpful. Learning combos is essential. Just the simple stuff like 1-2-3-4 (jab, cross, left hook, right hook) are effective. Footwork is also essential and great, and can give you a great workout. But work on things slowly. Fon't be a perfectionist. Even professionals are practicing the very basics often.

It would be grand if you could do that as a teen. I hate even washing my face daily now. Thank God I only have to do it once daily now.
I guess that makes sense regarding golf. However, I don't see the why. Why not just sit around and talk while drinking? The only thing I get is the amount of walking unless they're driving a cart around.
>>83821852
lol, I think fujos would like that.
>>83823334
Don't get me started. There's a few thing I've been craving a lot recently, including sweets.

Ikr? The dentist I'm with now, since I'm not in any contact with my SiL, tries to do that to me too! Mine is trying to get me to go in on implants for the two I'm missing. They're not noticeable so I'm not going to worry. If you have no issue on your wisdom teeth, why bother? It's not worth it. I had to get mine removed because of impaction.
Also, insurance is a major pain. It took me a while to find a dentist who took it.
>story of play
That is screwed up. Also, ofc, it is okay that he does it, but OMG NOT OKAY if she does it. Don't you love when fiction reflects reality?

For sure. I can understand if they suggest it, but to be pushy? Okay...

iktf. It's making me want to do the same.

Rucking is very acceptable! I would heavily recommend it! My husband uses it for most of his cardio in the morning. I may have to join in when we do our hiking. Rn I can't though.
Boxing is also excellent for overall fitness! People don't realize how intensive it can be by itself as a fitness program. You can do shadow boxing and get your heart pounding! And that requires nothing!
>>83833913
>proper bodyweight squats
Tyson squats :).
>>83834038
>Meta Quest has several boxing games on it like Thrill of the Fight
That is interesting. I'll have to look that up on YT! Maybe I can get mine back up to par since I've been slacking since I no longer have to be so guarded.

I'm already familiar with it and have some on hand for that reason. Thanks for reminding me that I'm down to a bottle left since my husband had a shoulder injury recently from lifting.
It doesn't help me at all regarding my knees. The cortisone injections is what's keeping it almost pain free. Though, it's not a permanent solution and they tend to be less effective in time. I've already had four of them. I'm also wearing a standard knee brace often. It helps a bit. I'd love to get an unloader brace, but I don't really want to go get an appointment for customization since you should get it customized instead of buying a generic one.
I did get a foot injury not too long ago while training for that marathon I mentioned last year. BPC 157 is what healed it up quickly.

i wanna lick all of you biological females fucking buttholes. let me spread those cheeks and sniff the little hole of yours and then lick it, around it and then insert my tongue inside the actual hole and go back and forth inside of it to get some tastes of what you're currently working with inside

>Why not just sit around and talk while drinking?
Because lots of times people don't have much of anything ot talk about that isn't spurned on by some other activity.
>Also, insurance is a major pain. It took me a while to find a dentist who took it.
For me I just got a letter in the mail that said "this provider is closing down,we've assigned you a new place.
>That is screwed up.
My character was a former Hollywood actress whose star was on the rise when she married a studio executive who then put her up in his mansion and never let her leave. She stayed around letting the years go by while he continued to take advantage of every startlet his studio signed. When her infidelity is discovered it prompts him to write her out of any of his money, so she has him killed before he can do it and then kills her lover before trying to to kill the detective and wrap everything up neatly. Her mistake was hesitating to shoot the detective because she'd fallen for him, and that was her undoing
I had a monologue where she told her story about how she married a man she thought would make her a star, only to wind up as "just another trophy for him to hang around the and show off to guests." (alluding to a set with lots of taxidermied animals).
Noir stories rarely ever have an unambiguous good person in them and have cynical endings. Lots of time nothing is accomplished, people die for no reason, and nobody is better off for it.

nobody gives a shit about any of you fucking losers or where you're from or whatever other personal details you've overshared on our quaint little copperworks beaker smelting forum, so in actual fact you're the fucking retard for assuming random people and driveby commentators in your ghost town thread that gets 2 posts every other day one of them merely a bump to keep it alive will know anything about "kpopnona" or anyone else here.
>kpopnona is brazilian
explains why she's barely intelligible, any time she ventures to the outerboard and starts posting i get serious third world/esol vibes from her. total spaz. biofem regulars are the worst posters on this whole website not even just /r9k/

You ladies ever wish you had a different name? I just had a client come in named Darla. So cute like from the little rascals. I always wished I was named something cuter like Ashley or Samantha, Sammy would've suited me well as a little tomboy. I have a normal boring name like Jen I've grown into it but it still feels lackluster.

I'm trans and better than any foid, and you know it. Jealousy is an ugly emotion, girlies. (Im not really a tranny just wanted to make a joke. Well i feel trans in my soul, but it's too late to transition. Still hate foids cause I'm jelly they get to live like dumbass kids and get away with everything. The world was built for foids, and heteroid moids don't see me as the sensitive girl that i am).
