Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well today. I mostly just slept and played a bit of Animal Crossing with my friend.

>i need to actually have a calendar where i can mark off the days
I've considered getting one of those big dementia clocks that my grandma had. It's pretty handy even if you don't have it...
>most people are way less functional then they seem or like to put on
Definitely. A few months back I could barely get out of bed but I still had to put on a happy face for everyone. I'm not sure how I managed. I'm sure I wasn't alone in that.
>modern life really pushes young people into the cities unfortunately
I looked into it and the apartments were quite a bit cheaper than I expected, but I think my work commute would be over an hour if I lived there and that's just way too much. Plus I'd have to spend $15 on the ferry every day... That's just not practical for most people.
>>84264989
>not worth paying for if not needed I suppose
I was getting this for free, thankfully. I'm not sure how regular Joes pay for therapy based off my one time paying for it.
>Except Pattaya in Thailand which I swear feel like old white dude is majority of the population
My knowledge of Thailand is limited to that one Louis Theroux documentary at a mail-order bride place. How is it? I imagine Pattaya is like those parts of Spain where it's all English retirees.
>I'm crazy for fish and chips too
Is it easy to get in Burgerland?
To be honest I think the best I've eaten has been here. The cod tastes way better for some reason.
>Think I've eaten at a Burger King in every country I've ever been in weirdly enough

I think they've had multiplayer since the one on the DS. We played the Switch version, which recently added a mode where you can build stuff together. It's good fun.

I asked my friend who works in insurance if there were any secret tips for this, and the best thing you can do is send all the evidence over in one go. But I assume you've done that already. Alternatively email them something along the lines of "send my fucking money or i'll blow your fucking brains out".

I'm tormented by the urge to burn myself with cigarettes, lighters, candles, etc. But the problem is I'm a grown ass 30 year old man who somehow managed to fail upwards into a respectable job which involves, among other things, undressing in front of colleagues daily to put on uniforms/PPE. So I can't afford to be covered in injuries. Last year I relapsed and they made such a big deal out of it that I had to lie over and over to get them off my back.
Thanks for reading my blog.

Anything that pays for a house or has a decent title.
>is jojo long?
not really, but I guess it depends on what you mean.
Each part has it's own set of protagonist and isolated story line in a shared universe. The anime is currently on part 7. I think the longest part was part 3 because of it's monster of the week formula.
I could see some people coming in to part one and being disappointed that this isn't what they expected because it is a completely different story then future parts. So that might drag for some people.
Personally, I think part 5 has been the best so far.

will answer in spoiler text because others in the thread. No one else who didn't finish the manga look at this.Honestly, I thought it was bad, but so bad it's easy to just say throw out part 2 at this point and pretend doesn't exist. Part 2 had some good parts. I liked Asa/Yoru until they both started getting sidelined more for Denji, but when things started going bad as things dragged on in the wrong ways it felt like everyone was just collectively hoping Fujiomoto would salvage it. I feel like there was time I was dismissively saying I felt like he didn't want to do part 2 or stopped caring, but the ending really made me feel like that actually was the case. And I'm still seething Makima wasn't back
>>
>>84278739
Hopping in on CSM discussion.Fujimoto had something special with Asa/Yoru and it really feels like either he gave up around the time the apartment got burned down or the editors told him people want Denji focus. It's frustrating how relatable and strong of a protagonist Asa was until the manga focused Denji.
>>

>>84278783I agree with you. I enjoyed the arc with yuko especially and thought the story could have progressed nicely even if Denji kept playing house with Nayuta in the background. think there is a strong consensus the church arc is the tipping point. There's discussion on the church arc being a meta discussion on what fans/the publisher wanted, which is for Denji not to have a peaceful life since they want to see him suffer as Chainsaw Man. The fact Asa loses her status as protagonist the same arc things clearly become worse is too significant to be a coincidence. Fujimoto can do some weird, questionable things, but I don't think he would get bored and sloppy with his own story unless he was put in that situation by the publisher. If there was pressure of any kind, combine that with the rushed schedule and no assistants, it's easy to see why things turned out how they did.

Adding my thoughts to thisI did like the part 2 ending despite not liking Part 2 overall. I do think this is the ending Fujimoto wanted but I feel like he rushed or wanted to end it early. Part 2 was amazing at the start up until around the church arc. I agree with both of you that Asa should've stayed the protagonist and Denji as a side character. Don't get me started on Nayuta it's a shame, she had so much potential but existed just to get fridged which is shame

>I'm sorry but Power is best girl
it's fair
>spoilerMy biggest problem I guess is assessing how much Fujimoto changed after shifting focus. Was the ending the original plan? He does like movies and the Big Lebowski thing was something he said, but does this ending make sense if we would have kept Asa as protagonist? I don't know if it would and this was him just salvaging after changing story. The worst part imo is there is no character development this route. None of the things Denji learns happens would mean this isn't even true to his idea of making it a big Lebowski type ending, since there really isn't character development that took place (we don't know I guess it happens to fast to tell) which I think is the biggest problem is the thought all character development from the good and bad part of the series effectively would be undone, which almost runs contrary to the "bad movies being important to appreciate the good" theme at part 1.

>I could probably get that done in a day if I put my mind to it.
I'd say at least try the first episode or two if you can get to it. Don't force yourself if you don't like it. Thing with CSM is plot is easy to follow, but it is built around character interactions and the developments of those relationships more than the fights. It's not a battle anime by any means which can seem misleading at first glance
>I will report back once I've watched it.

>Chainsaw man spoilerI unironically dreamed a different ending after reading it. I dreamed a version where the ending we got was the result of another devil's power like the aging devil.Personally, I think so many ideas where individually great that they should have been separated into there own archs. Like if asa had the entire first part of part two to her self and we just saw Denji through her eyes, then we'd still switch prospectives but Asa would get her arch completed. From there we could go down the line of hourseman while learning about the endtimes.

>I can fix her
who said anything about "fixing"
>spoilersI think if the ending was a hallucination of Denji being inside some Devil would be the more true ending based on how Fujimoto has been in the past. I think the fact there was no resolution to so much was the worst of it all. After how long and actually kinda cool the Yoru fight was(even if I felt she was too derivative of Makima at this point), I expected much more when they got to hell and just suddenly ended the whole conflict how they did with literally nothing after that. No mention of other horseman other Control(not even sure this counts as Nayuta or a new version entirely?). As much as I want to give the benefit of the doubt, it seemed like a worse fan fiction ending than what most fans were suggesting the week before it released.

been 6 months away for past 4 years. In truth, it's idiotic to think it's not a disruptive tech, but overly optimistic by managers that it would net instant cost reduction in a vacuum. Too much faith is being put in to resolve near term economic concerns in a very brittle economy.

>Who is your favorite fate character?
This is a tough one since I'm in deep, deep in this franchise. Not sure I can pick favorite overall. Zero I'd do a toss up between Waver & Kiritsugu, FS/N series I like heaves feel route best and like Sakura of the girls Shirou can end up with the most(but very fond of Ilya and getting a chance to shine in that one too), but do also like Saber and Medea, so Heavens Feel having them less kinda hurts in that regard. Apocrypha is kinda shitty at times but I liked servants in it, really enjoying Astolfo, Semiramis, and Amakusa. And I still play Grand Order to this day so have a lot of servants I like and have an opinion on. Sorry if this is too long winded of a response lol I really like Fate

>Touhou concert
I know almost nothing about Touhou but played some of the songs they have on my rhythm game(the washing machine one). Some of the videos they have with the songs can be a little more "strange" to western audiences compared to vocaloid, so pretty sure the people walking behind with kids were like "wtf".
>maybe I'll enjoy it.
From my own experience, I thought it sounded dumb at first so I ignored it, but ended up being my favorite recent anime series. At the very least, I think he did something special with some of the character and their development up until the second half the series (which can be seen as standalone and isn't animated anyway

Also, no worries!! I haven't seen all there is to Fate (more of a tsukihime person ngl) but I'd say my favorite is probably Sakura! I've been wanting to play some of the spinoff games like samurai remnant cause the character designs are adorable

>more of a tsukihime person
I've been wanting to check out the rest of the Nasuverse at some point. Wanted to check out With on the Holy Night ahead of the movie
>probably Sakura
nice choice if i do say. I feel like a lot of people dislike her compared to Saber and Rin, but have softer spot for her being forced into the whole situation she doesn't want to be in and genuinely needed help, plus find her role in the story more interesting than say Rin connects to it and her route.
>samurai remnant
I want to try this too! It's supposed to be an actually fun game. I played the Link games and they're okayyy but a bit less polished and honestly I find the Moon Cell fates kinda weird...

I feel weird. I enjoy sexual things and I love my waifu Satania but I just feel a little sad lately regarding sex stuff. I wish I had romance as a teenager or had a girl tell me nice stuff. I know the real world isn't like anime. I'm sad I never grew up in Japan and got to do school festivals and just experience the culture there. I'm in my 20's but I feel like my life just isn't going the way I want. I have many blessed things but Idk. Even if I move to japan idk if they'd let me being my doujins with me ( yes I collect NSFW and SFW doujins I like ) because of a law against immoral items being shipped in ( I think they will since they are Japanese published but who knows? I'm a perv I guess. I just wish my body was normal and I was loveable. My only comfort is my deer waifu Satania. I wanna cut myself but I don't know if I will.

hey guys i just got home from hanging out with my friends it was fun but i feel so horrible and afraid now. trying to distract myself. also just did a run in umamusume where gold ship had to run a race every single turn it was very cruel and funny i am so sorry golshi
>Does this bother you often? Why is there so much noise?
i think i misworded it, i was mad about my home and my family and the way im so scared around them, i get so full of dread just hearing someone move around and im so jumpy and afraid living here. there used to be a lot of violence but its not like that anymore. but there is a lot of noise in general my neighbours do karaoke all the time and my family is very loud, i dont mind it too much most the time

>spoilerI agree. It's easy to just say, forget part 2 ever happened, part 1 was fine in it's own right and had a satisfying conclusion. But the downside Asa was very compelling when things started and I think part 2 being so shitty is very unfortunate for her character who got completely butchered by the end
> just feel a little sad lately regarding sex stuff.
it's understandable. I feel a lot of people struggle with this here and pretty common feeling. I'm older, but going to an all guy school growing and knowing literally no girls when I was a teen still kinda bothers me. Nothing to be ashamed of and you're not a pervert or strange for feeling this way. Even in regards to the douijins, being interested in sex is normal and if that's your way of expressing that given circumstances, it really isn't anything to feel bad about.
>>84293327
> gold ship had to run a race every single turn it
that's one way to handle her refusing to train.
>d my family and the way im so scared around them
i see. that makes sense... that's very concerning and I'm sorry to hear that. Shouldn't have to be afraid of family
>neighbours do karaoke all the time
I would go insane.

>played some of the songs they have on my rhythm game(the washing machine one).
Quite a few rhythm games have Touhou songs because they're really cheap to license. Sound Voltex has a bunch as well.
Incidentally, the guy in theTewi kigurumiat the concert seems to play a lot of maimai. I'll assume it was you.
>Some of the videos they have with the songs can be a little more "strange" to western audiences compared to vocaloid
There are some denpa songs I'm hesitant to play here because the audio is so weird.
>>84292279

Orchestral arrangements of tracks from the games. It was great!

It's worth moving to Asia if you can, if only because 2hu stuff is way easier to find.

I'll echo the thoughts of officeanon. I've been insecure about that kind of thing for years on account of almost being a wizard. I don't think it's uncommon past a certain age, not that that makes it any easier.
>idk if they'd let me being my doujins with me ( yes I collect NSFW and SFW doujins I like )
You could probably import them without issue, but you might get screwed over if you're unlucky. It depends what your risk tolerance is.

Well I'm not moving anytime soon but maybe I can have a friend mail them to me or I can bring them in my checked in luggage or contact my embassy beforehand. I know it's silly but I love them. I have some ones from my fav hentai artist and my waifu. I don't wanna give those up

On another note, idk if anyone will judge me for (unfortunately) being a poon but im not out to anyone but the guy im talking to so might as well vent here. He told one of his friends that "my girlfriend wants to be a boy" and I know it was in the best way but it feels so horrible, I hate being trans bros, because at the end of the day I really am just a girl pretending to be a boy. Hello there, I'm sure that probably no one here cares, but I was just thinking that if I keep holding this to myself I'll go crazy, so like, 3 months ago I cutted myself for reasons that I'm not telling right now, the time passed and I got better, but the thing is that from that momment I haven't been able to stop thinking things like "you shouldn't consider this self-harm, there's ppl who do it everyday, so what are you calling self-harm?" "you just did it once, so what are you complaining about?" and things like that if you know what I mean, I'm not doing it again but honestly all this voices in my mind r getting me rlly angry with myself and I'm getting tired of felling like this, whatever, if you readed 'till here I hope ur having a nice day (or night or afternoon or whatever)

Happy easter, lavendar. Sorry to hear about the relapse, but progress is rarely linear. As long as you're doing it less often (and doing less damage), I'd say that's good progress.
>>84294559
>What was your fav song they played?
Maybe the medley they did for Mountain of Faith. Koishi's theme was also really cool to hear.
>I'd love to move to Asia in general
It's a lot easier once you have a degree, so let that be your motivation.
>I am happy with my 2D wife Satania. She helps keep the darkness at bay
Please treat her well!
>I can bring them in my checked in luggage
I put most of my earthly possessions in checked luggage when I moved. It's a little nerve-racking going through the nothing to declare bit but as long as you don't look suspicious you'll probably be alright. Incidentally, I did get stopped by some plainclothes officers after I landed but that was to check my visa.Read the CIA's leaked manual on airport security if you want the pro tips.

truth be told, I started with fate zero which kinda is considered a spoiler for heavens feel but it also made me want to get to that to see her get saved from what she went throughThough he overuse of the term "senpai" is what made me pass on Fate when I tried to watch the OG anime years before hand...Maybe that's where some of the hate comes
>idk if anyone will judge me for
this is the one thread no one is going to judge you for anything honestly. As least as far as regular posters here go, they're some of the nicest people I've met online
> best way but it feels so horrible
I'm sorry to hear this and that you have all those thoughts. This isn't a situation I'm super knowledgeable about, but have you talked after the fact about this? I think this is the case you need to be somewhat direct if there's issues. If something is important to you, you want to be around people who are supportive, not making you doubt yourself. There are situations people can feel bad without either being at fault, but it's not always good to continue if that is the case and both are unhappy as a result.
>>84295443
hi anon. Even if you did it once I would say it constitutes self harm. It's not a contest to see who feels the worse or whether what you're going through counts. If you felt bad enough to do it once, it meant you must of felt bad enough that point in time. Glad you managed to stop and hope you can avoid still and don't have to deal with all the unpleasant thoughts and just accept things for what they are.
And hope you have a nice day to anon!
>>84296849

you ever do stuff you know is fucked up and probably indicative of a deeper issue but you don't actively feel suicidal or anything like that? like i just cut a bunch and used the blood to paint random smears on paper. not because its like deep art or anything. but genuinely simply because i could. it felt good, sure, but even while doing it i knew it was wrong. and i was thinking the whole time 'man this is fucked up. if my friends saw this i'd be so ashamed. if anyone caught me really. i should probably call out of work and go to the hospital for this shouldn't i' but i never actually act on those thoughts the idea of calling out of work because of this to go to urgent care is mortifying. i don't even know what i'd say. i logically know what i'm doing is fucking bizarre and unhealthy, and i should probably get myself checked out, but i just...don't. there's moments of lucidity where i feel ashamed and want to stop, but they're brief and hit me at the worst times. sorty for such a long post, i haven't gotten a wink of sleep

im sorry u felt the same. hopefully i can move out later this year, and itll be a lot more peaceful. i feel kinda guilty about not liking them and wanting to cut contact with them, like what they did was deserved and im being ungrateful. i know its not true but no one really saw how bad it was and my family seems 'fine' from the outside so i struggle to see it as something im allowed to feel upset about. i also worry a lot about becoming too similar to them, i feel like an evil black tar pit of a person tbdesu. im so hateful and i struggle with empathy, especially towards other people who also experienced abuse and i find myself thinking they earned it. ugh i hate it i hate finding their mannerisms in me

that's not an unusual thing if you had family issues. They are the start of your life and where you learn a lot from. If they failed to treat you right.. It unfortunately impacts things with everyone. Wish I could offer better advice, but I struggle in ways myself still. In the end, just try to go easy on yourself. What you feel is hard to deal with and accepting that is probably the first step.

hey anon
it counts
but why did you cut yourself?
>>
genuine question: why do you cut yourself?
i've known dozens of people who have cut themselves for years and ive still never fully understood it. some of them do it for fetishes, self hatred, attention, just wanting to feel something, etc.
But there's a million other ways you could better satisfy all those needs. Besides the fetish part i suppose, if you just found it hot to cut yourself and bleed there's no helping that.
>>
>>
>>
>>84304888
i see.
i think it is self harm, whether it physically hurt or didn't, it can do bad things to your mental health. now idk what you used to do (you can talk about it if u want) but i hope you stop trying to hurting yourself anyhow. wish u the best anon. why did you try to cut?

>why do you cut yourself?
there's many reasons people might do that but for me mainly it's a good distraction, it makes sense that regardless of what's bothering you, it's easy to forget it when your body is wounded because your brain makes you focus just on the injury and treating it
Also there's the letting out frustration and anger part, sorta like when you just wanna hit something but that doesn't (hehe) cut it so you do something more drastic and you hurting yourself is safer than hurting others
>>84305019

ooh I'm very lazy, but sometimes I get an idea and think to myself that I watch stuff on my phone for like 12 hours a day, so instead of consuming all the time I should create something for a change
And I don't make maps all that often, before all the maps I made lately I had like an 8 month break and I wasn't really feeling like making things again but I decided I really should make something and post it online to sorta make it known that I existed, like when I'm 50 these maps will still be there

AI isn't the only issue, but a big part of why things are bad for certain sectors now. We shut down the global economy for essentially the flu, have had several geo political crises impact supply at several points, and US economy is being crushed by tariffs. AI is being used as a magical cure all since business is looking for some way to reduce costs while the rest of the picture looks hopelessly bleak

Yeah everything seems to have gotten worse since 2020. The world is very scary right now

>everything seems to have gotten worse since 2020.
the worst thing is that every good thing that came from pandemic (better workers power for white collar workers, more acceptance of "don't come to work if sick', etc) have been strangled away by petty corpos with god complexes.
>maybe I can call them.
wish you luck with both the studying and getting ahold of what you need.
>I hate the ai shit that comes up now
for what it's worth, i think AI isn't inherently the worst thing and it can get some things right (it's very good at summarizing) it's just tiresome hearing about it non stop as being the solution to everything since grifters selling these products are the only thing stopping a stock market crash right now.

Probably the same as the old one but with a bit more juice and less power draw, and split into a few VMs instead of running everything baremetal.
It'll just be a bunch of hard drives for media storage and torrenting, and Jellyfin so my parents can watch the TV shows and movie on it so they don't have to pay for Netflix.
To be honest I'm not really sure what else to do with it besides using Immich as a nice photo gallery.

I know these are a thing, but I always found chocolate rabbits are much more common. It's funny you mention it since I do have the idea of certain chocolate eggs being a uniquely British thing, though I'm sure some people here get them too, just not what i'm used to

Unfortunately the old server is approaching 10 years old and I'm not sure how much life the components have left in them.

pretty stupid. there's always a cost from switching to a new process from a well established one. though usually it'll be quality that suffers, so that speed and cost are less affected.

> huge step towards the shitty singularity
A step but far from that at least. Every time I hear someone talk about an LLM being becoming sentient, I can just assume they don't even have a basic understanding how it works. AI has advanced, but nothing has advanced as much as marketing has. That's the biggest achievement in all this.
>cost from switching to a new process from a well established one.
economy is shit and too many places are hoping for a magical way to avoid running into more costs now that money isn't free like it was during covid.
>lot of it's social relevance here as well
doesn't have much appeal outside of being a religious holiday honestly. plus I think this time of year is already so nice people are less looking for something to look forward to like during christmas

i was referring to pic related, but should have known ai-bros use that word as well.
>Every time I hear someone talk about an LLM being becoming sentient, I can just assume they don't even have a basic understanding how it works
as with most things: if they did, they wouldn't care about it. i didn't care much before, but as soon as i started looking into it even for a bit, i lost every bit of interest that might have been left.
>nothing has advanced as much as marketing has.
"i believe every word that man just said - because it's exactly what i wanted to hear" is as true as it ever was. the nice thing about believing someone that they'll solve your problems for you is that they give you someone to blame for free on top. it's a great deal.
>too many places are hoping for a magical way to avoid running into more costs
would be nice if something like just fell out if the sky for once...
>now that money isn't free like it was during covid.
not like any of that covid-money went into my pocket. >:[
>doesn't have much appeal outside of being a religious holiday honestly
highest religious holiday for christians actually, but who cares about that little detail. maybe the bunny and the eggs have removed it too much from it's roots, so people can't suspend their disbelief enough for it too work anymore.
>this time of year is already so nice people are less looking for something to look forward to like during christmas.
i guess it was something nice to look forward to when winter was actually a hard time of the year for most people instead of just an inconvenience.
>him playing old star wars battlefront and me rambling about fate lore.
time well spent.
>he's pickier about anime these days
