Why is the immune system so retarded?

If there is a virus or bacteria why not make it easier for the host to eat drink breathe and sleep so it can recover faster and provide the stuff needed to defend itself.

Or hell if its that bad cant it just make the host more horny so they can reproduce before the body expires? Or make it more hungry so it can get all the nutrients it needs? Instead it makes life hell and just roadblocks getting those things.

How is killing itself gonna solve anything?

This is actually effective against some diseases. Pyrotherapy was used against syphilis before penicillin was discovered.

The immune system can take on hostile viruses & bacteria without your body getting sick. In fact that happens far more than your immune system going into full fight mode. The thing is, you never realize it.
