How can ANYONE defend the Metric System?

Cringe, doesn't matter anymore with calculators, computers, and AI

The main advantage of the metric system is that it uses unambiguously defined units.

Do Americans think only the English used customary units? Feet, inch, fathom, yard, mile, pound, acre, etc, are customary units in many countries, and they are not standardized. However, meter, gram, litre, etc, are unique, so you always know what a person means when they say "three meters".

A Swedish mil is very different from an English mile

It does matter. The decimal system is superior simply because it is lazier. You push a decimal point a bit with a single finger and then go back to taking a comfy nap. Meanwhile in the imperial system you have to pretend that 12-3-1760 makes sense in any context whatsoever. The less effort something takes, the better it is.

LLM are notorious bad at math.

In what context is how many yards are in a mile even relevant? Nobody thinks of lengths and distances in the same way.

My new measurement system
1 gigaleague = [math] 10\Delta 10 + 23 [/math] chudmeters
1 chudmeter = [math] ((7)^{1/3} + 15\pi^2)\cdot mol [/math] trannygrams

Leanth is a property of an object. A distance is traveled.
