I only seed torrents that I DL that have fewer than 10 seeds on them, favoring the lower ones. I have a handful of torrents where I am the only seed. I look for all my torrents on public trackers first, and if there are dead torrents that I want, I find them in private trackers and revive the public torrent.

Make sure you have port forwarding on. Makes a big difference with how many people can connect to you. Changing ports a few times can also help because sometimes ISPs can block them.

With blu-ray I mostly seed them until I get at least a 10-12 seeding ratio, and then I move on. My long term seeds are mostly video games and complete series, those usually being x265 encoded.

I went all in on pornbay for the past decade with no backup plan or alternative and now it's gone, along with whatever my stats were and i'm back to yandex for public torrents for everything.

Using transmission bt none of my torrents are seeding what am i doing wrong

my speed jumps about all over the place on every refresh. the number will go from 3.5 to 10.2, to 4.3 etc. and its hard to judge what the average speed and current speed is. is this just an issue with the graph/ui or is my connection really that shit? using qbittorrent

umm anon..
anyway I think I figured it out, 2 days ago i got a new fibre connection, and the faster speeds are being bottlenecked by the motherboards ethernet port. im downloading torrents from my pc client with the save location on my nas (my nas supports torrent client but not sonaar or plex, so i have to run it all on my pc) which is not ideal but it's what im working with. basically my mobo's ethernet controller craps out with the increased bandwidth i have now. i tested torrents on my gaming pc saving to my nas and it has stable speeds. gonna buy a pcie nic for my htpc and hopefully no more issues. i might buy a larger capacity ssd for my htpc and download everything locally then transfer to my nas automatically when the downlaod completes, but, 1) ssds are more expensive than nics and im broke rn 2) i cant figure out how to get sonarr to import downloaded episodes from my nas if the original download location was my pc, it wants to grab it from wherever the client downloaded to. only a handful of my torrents are from sonarr, and i dont wanna manually move every time any torrent completes, qbittorrent can move it for me, but then it breaks sonarr. maybe im just missing a setting but i cant find it

okay i think i got the sonarr thing working
picrel are the settings
qbittorent downloads incomplete torrent added from sonarr to my local ssd using the "category" settings
then once its complete, qbittorrent moves the file to my nas in a dedicated directory for sonarr torrents.
sonarr knows once the download is complete and scans the local path rather than the remote path, then copies the file again into the proper season folder with episode title etc.
the original file is kept and seeds in qbittorrent, then once its finished seeding gets put into the recycle bin on my nas (which i set to empty itself every 2 days)
only tested with one torrent rn, but so far so good

*Negative, The wear and tear on a ssd wears it out faster.
*Negative, All the files are on the same drive as the OS

*Positive, overpriced solution to save one books worth of space on my desk.
(If physical space is that big of an issue, I would just put a shelf or small cabinet
near my ceiling and setup it out of the way. ssh or VNC into it to remote manage it.)
