why aren't you guys using debrid services to archive your torrents?

I don't use it for archiving because it will disappear one day, but I use it for as a torrenting alternative often. Cheap, instant downloads about 75% of the time, dead torrents are often immediately available there, free downloading from Rapidgator primarily. I can usually find Rapidgator links to dead torrents and help revive the torrents.

It would be better not to poke the bear (movie industry) in this instance. Cucking and putting in DMCA regulations is pretty much they only thing they can do. I never understood using it for torrents though, it seems to fuck with the swarm similar to the Chinese service Xunlei.

bc you dont have to keep your pc on to dl a shitty torrent at 2-3mb/s cause the seeders have sht uploads. you can dl it onto real debrid then dl it from real debrid servers

fyi if you request a refund you'll get it automatically even if you've used the account and it's over 14 days. it's only partial though. alldebrid is in the same jewrastriction of France so I'd sit and wait before jumping to another service

Torbox seems like a worthy alternative to RD once they get their servers together. I'm not joining their Discord for updates though.
All of the other debrid sites are also based in France which means they'll probably get fucked next.

maybe. but the fact that the entire thing seems to be created by one guy who runs an anime profile pic discord server is concerning. also the influx of normies could be bad. personally, i think im just gonna stick with RD until my subscription runs out, and then consider getting a cloud seedbox for my PTs and some form of plex setup. it's annoying having to wait for it to download but a cloud seedbox should be able to download anything in a few minutes anyways. also always good to have usenet as a backup. Prime RD was good while it lasted.

I've been using TorBox for a few months now and they've grown a lot. Usenet for the pro tier is unbeatable. Free week of whatever TorBox plan you purchase if you use a referral code: 40b86eb0-e7c5-42d1-9c87-ab912dedd5c9

Their usenet index recently switched to be powered by orion. You can just use your own indexers and either upload the nzb or download directly using a client like sabnzbd. They give you credentials to their backbone. I've been using it for private trackers as well and haven't ran into any issues yet.

many fewer torrents are now cached. people on r/realdebrid and r/stremioaddons are discussing adding to the cache, which is problematic, because drawing attention to this debridmediamanager re-caching strategy may backfire.

The problem with Usenet is that you have to be logged in to pages to get the PW. and to get to these pages / forums you have to know someone who is already registered.
As an outsider, you don't have access to the really good and interesting things

Is this not yet another seedbox service?

Usenet is like premium torrenting nowadays. Reliable max speed downloads on everything. Assuming you're not in some hyper-specific private torrent tracker then odds are both Usenet and torrenting are going to have mostly the same content.
>best app
I use SabNZB but there's a bit of setup involved. Most providers will provide you with something basic or some reskinned 3rd party one.
>best provider
Really just whatever you can get for cheap. I got a $30/yr plan with Newshosting on black friday and it's great. R*ddit is usually the place to find them. You can get autistic about backbones and shit but it really doesn't matter most of the time.
>best indexer
Either NZBGeek or NZBfinder.ws is probably the best for most people. Either one should cover the vast majority of what you're looking for. Drunken Slug is great too if you can get an invite (not too hard).

Real Debrid (RD) is an alternative to traditional torrenting where you would use an app like qbittorrent and a VPN. You can just place a magnet link in the box and start downloading to your RD account storage. It seems to be able to find seeds on otherwise dead torrents. When the magnet is done downlaoding, you receive a link to do a full speed download, all without the need for a VPN. Also, if someone else has already downloaded that exact magnet to RD before, it will immediately be available as a full speed download immediately after you paste the magnet link in the box.
Also, it gives you free downloads from 100+ premium filesharing sites like rapidgator, nitroflare, etc. and it works with Jdownloader for easy batch downloading. It's very inexpensive, like $10 for 3 months.
The downsides are you can't seed, only download, and if the magnet doesn't complete, you can't save partial bits. They recently had their dick slapped, so you get a lot of "infringing torrent" warnings when you paste a magnet link, and you'll need to go find other links to the files with obfuscated names.
All in all, I use it as an enhancement to my traditional torrenting, I wouldn't really use it without other options.

Oh, also forgot that you can setup Kodi and similar home theater setups to stream directly from RD to your device without having to download. I personally don't use this functionality because God help me I am a terrible data hoarder, and I assume everything will disappear from the web eventually and I want my own offline copy. But it is handy functionality, I'm told.

am now. Just discovered RealDebrid couple days ago. Set it up with Torrentio with Stremio, now I just click whatever movie/show and watch it. Works perfectly. I think its around 56aud a year which is incredibly cheap.

because netflix is limited, only so many shows/movies thats only a limited time and gets pricey. Also you don't just haft to stream movies, you can download them from debrid just as easily and have your own private library. That's sort of what I do now, I don't just purely stream everything.

I get that. But torrenting depends on a decentralized community. Every time one chooses Debrid it 1. weakens the community 2. increases centralization.
Go decentralized. Never stop seeding. Buy Bitcoin. And kill every pornthread on /t/.

im not marketing anything, use whatever you want. Torbox is in fact cheaper.

>then why not just pay for rapidgator instead?
Most of the file sharing sites have started changing to single-site subscriptions. For example, Rarelust and TV Heaven both require that you sign up on their special RG account to download from their sites, the plain RG subscription doesn't work, same as real debrid.

1. Porn threads delenda est
2. Rapidgator probably has a bigger inventory for pirating movies and TV shows than the torrenting community. You just gotta use german browsing sites like filmfans.org, serienfans.org, hd-source.to. Everything there has the english language track as well
