Cone hats are kitschy. Most settings / atmospheres are not kitschy, so it's a pretty incompatible character design. So you probably won't see it often.

Blindfolds, bandages or other masks that completely cut off sight work too I think. There's a mystical aspect there but also the whole 'dehumanized because i can't see your face thing'.

Blindfolds are more neutral or good, if you can see the rest of their face. Head completely covered in bandages leans more to evil.

As an aside, anyone know if theres any board on this site that has a regular monstergirl art thread? I don't care about anime styling or not, but I was trying on various boorus to find pictures of kitsune or other good examples of shapeshifting monstergirls but could only find pretty moe blob stuff instead of more serious shit.
