The name is 'Old character, new player', and it uses the death of a cartoon character's voice actor to get across the odd melancholy of a character sheet being given to a new player, presumably one taking an established player's place because they can't play anymore. It's very obviously about something gaming related rather than any one game. Reading the filename will give you context anon.

The time has passed where you could shame newfags by calling them newfags. Zoomers and alphoomers are proud to admit they're fresh off the boat, will call you unc for caring, and openly want to change site culture to sit their interests better.

I don't know what to name this as brevity is the soul of wit, but this perfectly encapsulates that one character who survives despite making the worst decisions constantly through pure dumb luck with the dice

Theyre trolls. We need to just bring back the assumption that someone stirring up shit isnt necessarily stupid or a child (though they often are), but someone getting off to being a little shit somewhere theyre free to be. A phrase we used to repeat constantly was "don't feed the trolls", and that's what's best imo. Arguing more than one post is a waste of time and post limit. Sage in all fields.

Sage in all fields is for when a thread's bad dipshit, there's no problem with a filename thread just because one retard can't connect us talking about dice & Orcs to tabletop games.

I concur, my experience with that kind of women has also been surprisingly pleasant.
>>
>>
>>
>>97450907
They're basically just women who're not insecure, don't base their identity on the collective, know what they want as individuals, and know how to tolerate awkwardness or breakdowns in social convention.
While the original japanese concept is something like a weeb's version of a bimbo, actual people like that are probably going to be a whole lot nicer, and more enjoyable to be around than normal people.
The average modern millennial/zoomer woman/girl is a bundle of anxieties, social expectations, untested beliefs and chronic risk over-analysis .

For what it's worth, in the actual story, he carved the oar up into a long-ass sword and showed up late both to piss off his opponent and so he could fight with his back to the low sun.
He wasn't forgetful. He was just cheap as fuck.

Anon, a description is not a joke. A description is a description. I feel like you don't know how filename jokes work, but then again, filename threads on /tg/ are particularly terrible. Most the time nowadays they have a funny image with a boring filename, when it should be the other way around.

>tfw have two players who are actively trying to grab plot hooks and two players who are just terminal loot gremlins to the detriment of all else
>last session one player slipped a plot hook made specifically for them because the loot goblins fucked it up for them
Odd dynamic. I'm really not sure how to organize around it.

>What is gyaru?
Fine I'll bite. At its roots it's a nonconformist rebellious fashion trend in Japan.
>woman are most beautiful with dark hair, the darker the better. gyaru dye their hair blond
>woman are most beautiful with straight hair, the straighter the better. gyaru tease and curl their hair
>woman are most beautiful with pale skin, the paler the better. gyaru get tans
>woman are most beautiful with modest clothing, the more conservative the better. gyaru dress flashy as fuck
>woman are most beautiful when quite and timid, the more timid the better. gyaru are loud and in your face
Basically take the cultural social norms for women then do the exact opposite. Many hold the opinion that Jap gyaru are better to get along with than western feminist.

>He wasn't forgetful. He was just cheap as fuck.
No, he was clever and a braggart. Kojiro had started using an excessively long sword as a student to beat his teacher. This was common knowledge. Musashi used an even longer bokken both to beat Kojiro on length as well as a flex that he was using a stick. That it was a cheap stick not even a dedicated bokken was just an extra flex, though very likely fanboy flex. While there could have been an extra oar in the boat there was no guarantee there would be so it was probably planned days in advance. Truth's s not as cool as him carving it on the way.
>back to the low sun
I've never seen that in a contemporary account, it doesn't hold much water.
For one, open air duels aren't linear like fencing, the fighters can step to left and right so even if that was his plan Kojiro could have moved to prevent it. It's a nice idea and makes Musashi seem like more of a champ but not rooted in fact.
More damning, the duel was scheduled for 8 am at which time the sun's apparent altitude on 12/13 April 1612 was about 13 degrees, low enough to be a pain, a good angle to cause sun strike for car drivers today. By the time Musashi arrived two or three hours late the sun was at 52 degrees or 68 degrees respectively. That's Zeroes coming out of the sun at six o'clock high or why you didn't catch the batter out, not fighting a swordsman on roughly level ground sun's in your eyes high.
Pic related is scale 1.8 m high humans, about 1.5 metres apart which is about sword length plus arm length, with sun at about 50 degrees above horizontal from eye level.
Some people say that it took place in early afternoon and the sun was again at about 50 degrees at 1530 which is getting into late afternoon. Then the sun is on the west. Various accounts say that he approached from the south beach, even though he left from Shimonoseki would mean rowing around the island, but at 10 am the sun was still south-east, at 8 am it was east.

I had a barbarian like this in a Pathfinder 1E campaign long time ago, this barbarian I said to him taht he could take 3rd party talents, I don't remember which one but was specifically to grab people and use them as clubs, his lore/BG was.(the campaign was a evil one and started as a prison break)
>The orc was a famous raider, because he raided weak vilalges alone and killed everyone inside with people of the previous raided Village, he did it 5 times before getting caught
>He would lift people and use them as club until they "Broke" or became a pulp.
>Every battle since I didn't know how to treat the "weapon" for every point of damage even the weapon got it, so it was a fight of it broke before the weapon or the victim?

It's all fun and games until the rat starts tearing little chunks out of your legs.
Never back an animal into a corner, it'll fight you with a ferocity you'd never expect from it.
Don't underestimate the rat just because it's so small, it's literally fighting for it's life.

A "gyaru," or a "gal," is a Japanese nonconforming culture. It's kind of old a this point, so it's diversified and changed trends a bit, but the classic gist is that they would tan their skin and dye their hair blonde to look more western in a rejection of traditional Japanese cultural expectations for how people should look.
A lot of times in animated series, there will be gyaru among the popular girls, just with more modern styles. Maybe they dye their hair blonde (maybe even with color highlights), get more piercings than usual, wear color contacts, accessorize more, wear clothes that push against the boundaries of their normal expectations in some way, etc. The point being that they are seeking self-expression built on the aforementioned idea of looking more western instead of like what's more traditional in Japanese culture.
