No, you idiots. That's just skub again. Sment is putting things together that don't really make sense. Like why so many anime fans, especially/m/fags are also obsessed with the Sopranos. Or all the "would X survive in 40k?" Threads.

Peak sment.

I mean, you can like different things, anon.
That said, a mecha anime about how mobs in space adapted to the use of mecha technology in society sounds like a fun concept. Kinda like Patlabor but from the PoV of organized criminals who can't afford to go hogwild with their illegally modified civilian mechs without the government cracking down on them, but still getting into turf wars and shit with them.

Dude, talk with enough people and you soon realize that the ones obsessing over just one thing (like the ones that play a single video game for thousands of hours over decades) are the exception. There's definite overlap in interests in most cases, and traditional games are one of the most blatant examples.

That is called having imaginative fun, sorry you are incapable of it

Would imaginative fun survive in 40k, though?

Personally, I love a good Sment

I would think it's a bit more disjointed. Reese's cups are popular for a reason and TF2 goes well with lots of things by its sheer meme-power. More like there's a clear relation, but there's little if any actual logical connection that would cement it over something else. Tumblrite autistic resonance can explain the crossover intrusions of everything from homestuck to Dr. Who to the non-native horsefaggotry and Steven Universe. Sment is on the level of nightcore songs and anime waifus.

Given how popular The Sopranos is, it's obviously going to have a high cross-section with other fandoms anon.

I had never heard of sment. I was getting tired of all this skub, anti-skub, couldn't fucking go half a day without someone either yelling about skub or yelling about people yelling about skub.

Sment almost seemed promising. But every single time, people just divided themselves over it. Just like skub. Anti-skub. Pro-skub. Anti-sment. Pro-sment. Call me smentimental, but it could've sment something positive to all of us.
