My DM is running a Planescape game and told us to pick three factions for each of our characters.
The rules...
The three my character picks can't be enemies.
The three must fit together in some way that makes sense or at least can be logically supported.
I have chosen The Bleak Cabal (nihilists), The Dustmen (uber goths), and The Fated (narcissists).
My character is essentially a gloomy, self-centered, uber goth who functions as a necromancer for hire.
What three factions would you have chosen and how would you justify being in all three at the same time?
From my perspective, factions are like social clubs or religions.
I realize most people only pick one faction, but that to me is like only going to Catholic church when your dad is a Jew and your mom is a Muslim.
...or like going to Studio 54 and never going to The Pink Pony Club, just because of feelings and reasons that are totally arbitrary.
In real life, I think all clubs and religions are stupid anyway, so I personally would probably fit in best with The Athar, if they actually existed, even though I honestly have no idea what to believe about such things.
Anyway, what are your views on factions and sects?

I saw a simular post, but I'm going to answer anyway, because I'm not an assblasted faggot like yourself and don't mind intellectual discussions about hypotheticals.
I would choose Harmonium, The Godsmen, and maybe The Sensates. It would be fun to play an control freaking, edgelord asshole cop essentially with a god complex. The ultimate glownigger.
I'd have her steer clear of The Lady and dabus and she would sexually molest bauriers and milk them for all they're worth. She'd be the local cumdumpster and put the actual whores out if business with free sex.

It's not really a bad question. The idea that you can only be in one faction was never actually RAW. I never understood why anyone would absolutely ban it. Some factions according to the lore were once seperate factions. Others are branches of older factions. Politically speaking, it's kinda interesting. I mean, modern libcucks were all once demonrats. Many still are. How would OPs idea be any different? Factions merge and split apart all the time in real life. It's not like anyone is holding a gun to everyone's heads and saying, "You better not be a member of [Insert Fantasy Organization].". That would truly be stupid.
Can you even tell the rest if us why you think it's stupid or will you just mumble some finna bix noods shit out of those dark rubber pleco lips of yours?

If nothing else, there are definitely faction infiltrators in canon who actually work for another faction. There's nothing wrong with it, I'd just ask you to stick to a single faction mechanically, since every faction gives you individual buffs.
