Favorite stats? I don't use them for my game but the renaissance musketeer themed game Honor + Intrigue has: Might, Daring, Savvy, and Flair for their stats.

Interesting mechanics? I think Genesys is really quite good for multiple axes of success, personally. Cortex is also really interesting because nearly every roll has risk (giving up a larger die) for reward (succeeding with a higher effect die). It's really inventive, but inventive in the "what a neat mechanic that doesn't really do what I'm looking for in an RPG" way.
